Oh no!   Imagine a world where the dung-covered Madonna, or the crucifix in a jar of urine would not be allowed to exist.  Such could be our very world if Sarah Palin is allowed to do away with the National Endowment for the Arts.  In an effort to reduce our fourteen trillion dollar federal deficit, Palin has suggested ending federal subsidies for National Public Radio ($3.34 million), the National Endownment for Humanities ($132.8 million), and the National Endowment for the Arts ($154.7 million).  As you can well imagine, this has once again caused leftie heads to twist, twirl, then eventually explode.
artsology claims that “Sarah Palin Hopes to Cut National Endowment for the Arts Altogether.”
Sarah Palin, you are an idiot. And worse, you are a soulless idiot. Why is that worse? Well if you had a soul, you would most likely recognize the value of the arts as a national institution … you would possess some spark of creativity inside you. But since you’re a soulless demon-woman with big hair, you seem to think that the arts and the humanities have nothing to do with your country and your government. I bet you’re the type of person who, when introduced to an actor or a painter, asks, “Why don’t you get a real job?”
During an interview on Fox News last week, Palin had this to say:
NPR, National Endowment for the Arts, National Endowment for the Humanities, all those kind of frivolous things that government shouldn’t be in the business of funding with tax dollars – those should all be on the chopping block as we talk about the $14 trillion debt that we’re going to hand to our kids and our grandkids. Yes, those are the type of things that for more than one reason need to be cut … Reality is we have 15 million Americans who are out of work.
The LA Times quickly retorted:
Nationally, the nonprofit arts and culture industry supports 5.7 million jobs and generates $166.2 billion in annual economic activity, according to Americans for the Arts. The NEA is one linchpin in that sizable economy.
So go ahead, Palin, try to get rid of the National Endowment for the Arts. Cause those people aren’t real people anyway, right? Real people can be seen on reality television, so who needs the arts?

Because we'd all miss wonderful stuff like this.
