Sunday Talks: OMB Director Mick Mulvaney…

The insufferable DC Swamp media-guards were in full Swamp protection mode today.  Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Director Mick Mulvaney appeared on NBC (Chuck Todd) and CBS News (John Dickerson) to discuss the first Trump budget proposal.
Chuck Toad (Meet the Pus) was his insufferable, groaning, grunting, condescending and teeth gnashing self.  Weird how Toad is a budget hawk all of a sudden:

.
John Dickerson spent the first 5 minutes of a 6.5 minute interview with the budget director talking about issues unrelated to the budget:

On Monday March 13th former president Barack Obama unexpectedly flies alone to Hawaii (link)

Obama returned to one of his regular stops for dinner, Buzz’s Original Steak House in Lanikai. The former president was seen with a much smaller entourage than his last visit, though it still includes a Secret Service detail. (link)

On Tuesday March 14th Obama played golf and went to dinner:

“Tuesday evening, the former president dined with his sister, Maya Soetoro-Ng, and friends in a private room at Noi Thai Cuisine at Royal Hawaiian Center.” (link)

On Wednesday March 15th – Hawaii’s U.S. District Judge Derrick Watson issued a block of President Trump’s travel ban.  A 43-page ruling within 2 hours of hearing: (more…)

Update: Horrific Immigrant Rape In Maryland School – No Explanations from Montgomery County Public Schools

Yesterday we outlined a horrific sexual assault of a 14-year-old female freshman student victim in Montgomery County Maryland.  Two 17 and 18-year-old illegal alien students brutally raped the 14-year-old victim. One rapist, Henry Sanchez, 18, originally from Guatemala. The second rapist, Jose Montano, 17, a native of El Salvador.

Despite their age both illegal aliens were enrolled in the ninth grade at Rockville High School.  There has been no response from Montgomery County Public School (MCPS) officials as to why a 17 and 18-year-old illegal alien would be allowed to enroll in public school where they would be classmates with 14-year-old students.
Montgomery County Maryland is a sanctuary county where U.S. immigration laws are intentionally not enforced by the local public officials.
ABC7 News Journalist Kevin Lewis has provided an update to the events along with the police report which outlines the brutality experienced by the young female student.
I must warn readers the police report of the crime (below) is extremely unsettling.

Two of President Obama's Undocumented Alien "Children" Brutally Rape 14-Year-Old Maryland Student During School…

Those of you who have followed the Undocumented Alien Children (UAC) story, which began in the summer of 2014, will note the nationality of two UAC’s who brutally raped a 14-Year-Old Rockville Maryland Student.
Henry Sanchez, 18, originally from Guatemala and Jose Montano, 17, a native of El Salvador, brutally raped a 14-year-old high school student on Thursday.   Sanchez had a pending illegal alien removal case (deportation order) pending, which was not carried out while immigration activists tried to block the deportation.
Sanchez and Montano dragged the 14-year-old victim into a school bathroom where they repeatedly gang raped her during school session.  The sickening story is partially explained in the local news coverage:

.
You might also remember Glenn Beck, Dana Loesch and Senator Ted Cruz going to the Texas border during the summer of 2014 to bring teddy bears and soccer balls to the future rapists. (See Here and also See HERE)

I wonder how they feel about this story now?

Fake News of The Day – "Handshake" Outrage…

If the media is wondering why they have lost credibility with the larger U.S. electorate they only need to look at the fake news outrage du jour surrounding President Trump and a visit from German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
Take a look at this tweet from the Saint Louis Dispatch surrounding an article pushing a story that President Trump refused to shake the hand of Chancellor Merkel:

Literally seconds before that image was captured the following picture was taken:

Mick Mulvaney Segment During WH Press Briefing – Questions from Media…

OMB Director Mick Mulvaney attends the daily White House press briefing and fields questions about the President Trump ‘America-First’ budget.
Director Mulvaney does an exceptional job explaining the larger budgetary issues, priorities and squashing some of the more ridiculous media narratives du jour.

.
Regarding the non-discretionary side.  I would remind all:

Trump Economics – […] As the wage rate increases, and as the economy expands, the governmental dependency model is reshaped and simultaneously receipts to the U.S. treasury improve.
More money into the U.S Treasury and less dependence on welfare programs has a combined exponential impact. You gain a dollar, and have no need to spend a dollar. That is how the SSI and safety net programs are saved under President Trump.
When you elevate your economic thinking you begin to see that all of the “entitlements” or expenditures become more affordable with an economy that is fully functional.
As the GDP of the U.S. expands, so too does our ability to meet the growing need of the retiring U.S. worker. We stop thinking about how to best divide a limited economic pie, and begin thinking about how many more economic pies we can create. (link)

Perspectives on President Trump's 2018 Budget Proposal…

The modern fight for fiscal responsibility has been going on for over two decades.  However, after George W. Bush began spending us into oblivion the urgency increased rapidly; culminating in the uprising in 2008/2009 known as the Tea Party.
The past decade brought us: Bank-Bailouts(TARP,) Auto-Bailouts, Stimulus (ARRA) spending, Omnibus spending, Porkulous bills, Debt Ceiling increases, Continuing Resolutions, the FED buying debt (QE1, QE2), and beyond.

Finally, frustratingly, exhaustively… we arrive in 2017 and for the first time in modern presidential history we have a president proposing to curb the size, scope, scale and cost of government.
The Washington DC UniParty will fight back hard against any curtailment, so here’s some perspective for the upcoming battle:

  • The last federal budget was signed into law in September 2007, for fiscal year 2008, by George W. Bush.
  • It has been over a decade since the Federal Government operated with a budgetary law guiding spending.
  • Because of the two previous points – Over two-thirds of Republican representatives, and over 50% of all reps in the House and Senate, have never held office during a year with a federal budget.
  • Let that sink in.

Here’s the top-line overview of President Trump’s budget proposal by department: (more…)

Fed Raises Interest Rate a Quarter Point – Nothing Changes…

It’s really interesting to read the financial presentation of Reuters in their article outlining the Fed, Chair Janet Yellen, decision to raise interest rates a quarter point (.25).  Keep in mind that Reuters traditionally slants left (globally) on all economic presentations.
Those Treepers who have followed our economic analysis will note the disparity between Yellen’s justification and the inconsequential impact therein.   The Stock Market never even flinched today.  Part of the reason is the disconnected (traditional) view of economics within the current Yellen justifications.  It ain’t just us who sees this “new dimension“.

Emphasis in citations are all mine.

(Reuters) The U.S. Federal Reserve raised interest rates on Wednesday for the second time in three months, a move spurred by steady economic growth, strong job gains and confidence that inflation is rising to the central bank’s target.
The decision to lift the target overnight interest rate by 25 basis points to a range of 0.75 percent to 1.00 percent marked one of the Fed’s most convincing steps yet in the effort to return monetary policy to a more normal footing.

Senator John McCain Accuses Rand Paul of "now working for Vladimir Putin”…

I think Senator Rand Paul’s aversion to going to war with Russia over Montenegro just triggered Senator John McCain.
While speaking from the Senate floor, in support of a bill advancing the country of Montenegro’s bid to join NATO, Senator John McCain anticipated opposition from Rand Paul. McCain requested unanimous consent for advancement of the bill.
After Rand Paul objected to the UC, Senator McCain lost it saying:

…”he has no justification for his objection to having a small nation be part of NATO that is under assault from the Russians. So I repeat again, the senator from Kentucky is now working for Vladimir Putin.”
