In a subtle speech outlining Israel’s position on the EU/Obama acquiescence to Iran Netanyahu vows to keep the light.

It’s not coincidental Netanyahu chose this specific passage from a Jewish children’s song given the former U.S. position (Reagan Doctrine) of light retention amid the dark forces of global evil. In essence Israel is saying they will not fall victim to the political correctness inherent in failing to talk about true motives and objectives of Iran, while simultaneously saying someone must stand up to say there are natural laws of right and wrong.
It is the elimination of true principles behind what is good, right and just, while obfuscating and falling victim to political correctness which allows evil to thrive. As we have often said – failing to accept the existence of evil enterprise does not protect you from it. Regardless how that enterprise manifests.
The United States used to hold such bold recognitions. However, under the leftward and self-serving immoral slide, the lines between right and wrong, good and bad, freedom and serfdom, have been blurred.

ISRAEL – Melding the Hanukkah holiday and foreign affairs, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu solemnly vowed to serve as a “light unto the nations” and act against Iran’s nuclear program should diplomacy fail Thursday night. (more…)
Did Mr. and Mrs. Obama meet with, or personally -as in physically- show their support for U.S. Troops or Service members this year?
You see, in a very real and simple sense, people do that which is important to them; and people avoid that which is unimportant. This is a simple truth in life that many people seem to ignore.
Washington (CNN) – President Obama paid a visit Friday to a group of activists who have been fasting for weeks in the hopes of pressuring Congress to pass new immigration laws.

Obama and his wife, First Lady Michelle Obama, visited the group on the National Mall to lend support for the cause. The “Fast for Families” protesters have given up all sustenance except water during their protest, which they hope will force lawmakers to take up immigration reform measures pending on Capitol Hill. Charles Krauthammer discusses recent events in his latest editorial column titled “An Outbreak of Lawlessness“:
(Via WaPo) For all the gnashing of teeth over the lack of comity and civility in Washington, the real problem is not etiquette but the breakdown of political norms, legislative and constitutional.
Such as the one just spectacularly blown up in the Senate. To get three judges onto a coveted circuit court, frustrated Democrats abolished the filibuster for executive appointments and (non-Supreme Court) judicial nominations.
The problem is not the change itself. It’s fine that a president staffing his administration should need 51 votes rather than 60. Doing so for judicial appointments, which are for life, is a bit dicier. Nonetheless, for about 200 years the filibuster was nearly unknown in blocking judicial nominees. So we are really just returning to an earlier norm. (more…)
How rabid is the Democrat mindset to retain their ideological power at all costs?
(Via TPM) Colorado state Sen. Evie Hudak (D), who was facing a potential recall election over her vote in favor of stricter gun control laws, will resign Wednesday, Denver television station KDVR reported.

Hudak’s decision assured that Democrats would hold onto their one-vote majority in the state Senate, according to the TV station, with a Democratic committee being allowed to pick her replacement.
“In the interest of preserving the progress made over the last year, I am resigning as State Senator for District 19, effective immediately,” Hudak wrote in a resignation letter.
Hudak reiterated her support for strengthened gun control laws. (link)

Yes, “Illegal Aliens” is the correct term. An alien registration card is the official legal language for permanent visa and legal immigration status. If an immigrant does not possess an alien registration card, or legal citizenship status, they are an “illegal alien”.
CALIFORNIASTAN – More than 100 people pelted U.S. Border Patrol agents with rocks and bottles during a rowdy confrontation Sunday afternoon along the U.S.-Mexico border, federal authorities said.
Nobody was seriously injured and it’s not clear whether the crowd was trying to enter the U.S. illegally or hold a demonstration, but the sight of a large crowd surging beyond the border rattled nerves. (more…)

IRAN – “What has been released by the website of the White House as a fact sheet is a one-sided interpretation of the agreed text in Geneva and some of the explanations and words in the sheet contradict the text of the Joint Plan of Action (the title of the Iran-powers deal), and this fact sheet has unfortunately been translated and released in the name of the Geneva agreement by certain media, which is not true,” Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham said on Tuesday. VIA TELEGRAPH – A senior advisor to the Saudi royal family has accused its Western allies of deceiving the oil rich kingdom in striking the nuclear accord with Iran and said Riyadh would follow an independent foreign policy.

Nawaf Obaid told a think tank meeting in London that Saudi Arabia was determined to pursue its own foreign and policy goals. Having in the past been reactive to events, the leading Sunni Muslim nation was determined to be pro-active in future.
Mr Obaid said that while Saudi Arabia knew that the US was talking directly to Iran through a channel in the Gulf state of Oman, Washington had not directly briefed its ally.
“We were lied to, things were hidden from us,” he said. “The problem is not with the deal struck in Geneva but how it was done.” (read more)
