(Via GWP)  In March 2006, polls showed President George Bush had a 37% approval rating.  The exact same 37% approval rating as Obama’s today.  But, the difference in media headlines for the two presidents is disgustingly extreme.  Blasting and berating Bush with insults and doom and gloom projections, the same media emits hardly a peep regarding Obama’s plummeting approval.
Rush unleashed a firestorm of truth that left no doubt there is zero journalism taking place in the Liberal media.  But, the important point made during his articulate war path is that the Republicans are NOT losing.

In spite of the media throwing everything they have into spinning silk out of the sow’s ear behavior of the worst president in history, he has the same low approval rating as Bush did with the media throwing everything AT him.  Propped up media darling, Obama, along with his Democrats, should have an approval rating sky high and the Republicans’ should be a lot worse.
So, Rush’s message to Republicans inside the Beltway is stop the self-flagellation.  We’re not losing!  (link)

The leftist usurpers and their willfully blind media cohorts, love to bring up the insufferable talking point(s) about Obamacare being the law of the land.  Passed by Congress, signed by the President, and upheld by The Supreme Court;  as if this baseline is the principle behind their “get over it” talking point.
You will see this set of talking points in essentially every argument against the current popular demand to defund, delay or otherwise modify Obamacare.

So what I want to do here is focus on that “principle”, and just remind everyone of some simple facts about how this “law” came to be in the first place;  and, perhaps, give some assistance when you are pushing back against the manipulation of the discussion.
First, Obamacare was not passed as a regular legislative construct.   Not.Even.Close.
Most of you will easily remember exactly how it came to be.   In the Fall of 2009, as the National Healthcare was being debated, an awakened electorate began to recognize just how horrid the concept being sold actually was.
We witnessed day after day, after day, of Democrat special interest groups (unions) constructing the concept of our healthcare.   As each day passed, opposition grew.
Subsequently, Harry Reid needed to keep all the Senators away from their constituents so they did not hear the voice of the people.  Unlike the House Dems, who were flogged at numerous town halls,  Reid “sequestered” the entire Senate and kept them in session over the holiday break of 2009.   He would not allow them to pause, return home, and then resume debate and construct in January. Yesterday we noted a slip in the strength of narrative from President Stompy Feet.  A slip that’s reflective of a change in internal White House polling on the current issues around the federal government shutdown.
However, the most *telling* of stories was around Stompy saying he was personally backing off from any influence.

President Obama has handed over the reins of leadership on government funding and the debt limit to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.).
Reid is now fully in charge of his party’s negotiating strategy, a significant change from past showdowns with Republicans.  (link)

In the politicized back and forth, that has become the new normal, you must review each subtle movement through the prism of ‘narrative risk management’.   As the New York Times now weighs in “This is most closed, control-freak administration I’ve ever covered,”… (link)   This is a brutal recognition of Dear Leader, Valerie Jarrett and Denis McDonough.
Internal White House polling must be giving them fits right now. The American People are not losing resolve; in fact, just the opposite is true, more and more people are joining a growing group awakening to the reality of how destructive Obamacare is, and just WHAT the reason is for this fight.   THIS is from a moonbat in Californiastan:

NPR, the liberal basement for all media pontifications, tells it’s reports to back off using the term Obamacare?  If Obamacare was so dreamy, that would never happen.  No, what’s happening is Obamacare has become a risk.   Within that “risk” is the future of all left-wing liberalism.

Today, in all its glory, the left wing rag The New Republic went so far as to suggest the Obama Administration break out the tanks, and do some killing of Republicans, to “put the boot on the throats” of the Republicans in the House of Representatives. Actor James Woods tweeted the adage to me a few weeks ago, if you scratch away the surface of a leftist, you expose a fascist. Nowhere is this more evident and proven than the suggestion by The New Republic’s Senior Editor Julia Ioffe’s suggestion that Obama act as Boris Yeltsin did when he shot up Russia’s Parliament building with T-72 tanks.
I have now heard it all. I have seen it all. What we are witnessing is what “The Great One” Mark Levin calls “Soft Tyranny.” Such tyranny is a slow walk to 25% of our population being murdered, as Stalin, Pot, Mao, and Castro did, to name just a few of the most illustrious and storied Marxist “revolutionaries” who murdered all of those who couldn’t be “retrained”…as Obama crony Bill Ayers promised to do in his manifesto. Back in 2006′, feeling much angst and frustration with the GOP and George Bush, we began looking at the real source, the root cause, of the entrenched big government system that was supported by both Republicans and Democrats.
From that research we recognized the actual root cause was the 17th amendment, and how it structurally changed governance from a Constitutional Republic to a more Big Government-minded Federal Democracy.  
The modern construct of the Senate is at the root of the issue(s) which create the frustration.  With that in mind, in 2009 the SCF and the approach of then Senator Jim DeMint was fully embraced.   While this article does not appropriately weight the “BIG picture”, and ignores the long term goal, it does outline how the successful shift began and is a good short synopsis for those interested.

Yesterday President Stompy Feet posed for his latest national portrait.   Today the park service admits they were told to inflict the maximum public pain during the government shutdown.  Also today, the Border Patrol reveals they have been told to “Stand Down” and ignore border crossings.
All of this why?
Because the actual truth is people are awakening to the reality that most of the federal government is *non essential*; and, quite frankly, we can just do without them.  THAT is the real risk to sellers of BIG government.   It’s the same visible reality that stemmed from the ‘sequester cuts’ which, despite all the protestations to the contrary, really don’t have impact.   That’s the real issue. And so we enter Day #4 of the federal shutdown with the media still gnashing it’s horrible teeth determined to frame the horrid Republican Anarchists, Terrorists, jihadists.   But the electorate continue to defy the media demands.

CBS Polling shows when the government shut down back in November 1995, 51 percent of Americans blamed the Republicans in Congress, while 28 blamed President Bill Clinton.
And what are those numbers today? 44% blame GOP, 35% blame Obama, and 17% blame both.  Imagine what the polling would be if the media reporting was neutral.
But the media was able to find an OFA organizer who signed up for Obamacare.  Only there was one little issue they didn’t share.  His premium TRIPLED. (more…)
