trump-tower-1There is something just over the horizon; if you know how to hear it, you can feel it coming. It’s beyond exciting.. it’s awesome… It’s like being a gearhead who shows up to the rebuild only to discover Carroll Shelby in the shop.
Holy cats!… It’s epic.
Before getting to that part, here’s the latest:
(Via Bloomberg) IBM Chief Executive Officer Ginni Rometty said she plans to hire about 25,000 people in the U.S. and invest $1 billion over the next four years, laying out her vision for filling technology jobs in America on the eve of a meeting of industry leaders with President-elect Donald Trump.
Rometty, who is on Trump’s advisory panel of business leaders, will join Facebook Inc.’s Sheryl Sandberg, Amazon.com Inc.’s Jeff Bezos and Alphabet Inc.’s Larry Page and Eric Schmidt at a summit with Trump Wednesday in New York that is said to focus on jobs.
During the run-up to the election, Trump made employment issues a mainstay of his campaign, promising to scrap trade deals he viewed as draining jobs from the country and impose tariffs on imports if necessary. (more…)

MAGA Respect – Jim Brown and Ray Lewis After Lengthy Meeting With President Elect Donald Trump: "My President"…

When candidate Donald Trump announced his intention to run for the presidency one of the key phrases oft repeated was “this is an election about competency and action“.
Today, President-elect Donald Trump met with Jim Brown and Ray Lewis to discuss initiatives intended to actually deliver, not talk, deliver, results.
Democrat party leadership must be beside themselves as they recognize/face the reality of an action-oriented president focused intensely on delivering economic empowerment.
The message today as delivered by Jim Brown is damn near tear-inducing, because it is so joyful to see:

With Dr. Ben Carson taking the appointed lead as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, and with action-oriented President Trump pushing for measurable positive results, and with the combination of already successful private sector economic enterprises…. well, the future looks exceptionally bright.

Now reports are surfacing that Detroit had more votes counted than people who actually came out to vote.    More than half (60%) of the precincts in Detroit have been found to contain more votes than voters.
The discrepancies are in 392 districts which recorded 95% of votes cast for Hillary Clinton, and 3% votes cast for Donald Trump.  Whoopsie…. Now state officials want an “audit”.  Oh dear.

“There’s always going to be small problems to some degree, but we didn’t expect the degree of problem we saw in Detroit. This isn’t normal,” said Krista Haroutunian, chairwoman of the Wayne County Board of Canvassers.  (read full story)

After Nine Consecutive Years Without a Budget Mitch McConnell Now Worried About "Trump Deficit"…

The last federal budget was signed into law in September 2007 for fiscal year ’08 by George W Bush.  Since then, congress has facilitated nine consecutive years of continuing resolutions, debt ceiling increases and Omnibus spending bills.

President Obama never spent a single day in office with a budget. Not one day.  The current Paul Ryan initiated CR/Ominibus spending package ends on April 1st, 2017.  [Not coincidentally the same due date for President Trump’s statutorily required first budget proposal, which would take effect October 1st 2017 for fiscal year 2018.]
Regardless of Trump’s budget proposal, and as a direct consequence of the CR/Omnibus approach, congress is going to have to pass another CR spending bill, to fund government operations from April 1st through the end of the fiscal 2017 year (Sept. 30th).  Remember,  Ryan/McConnell created this financial mess.
Now, get this, today: (more…)
