All of this, ALL OF THIS, is to avoid sunlight upon the reality it was the DOJ who initiated the targeting scheme, and used the IRS to get it done.  In addition the White House fully knew what Eric Holder was doing.

(Via Judicial Watch)  – Judicial Watch announced today that the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) admitted to the court that it failed to search any of the IRS standard computer systems for the “missing” emails of Lois Lerner and other IRS officials.

The admission appears in an IRS legal brief opposing the Judicial Watch request that a federal court judge allow discovery into how “lost and/or destroyed” IRS records relating to the targeting of conservative groups may be retrieved.
The IRS is fighting Judicial Watch’s efforts to force testimony and document production about the IRS’ loss of records in Judicial Watch’s Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) litigation about the IRS targeting of Tea Party and other opponents of President Obama(Judicial Watch v. Charlotte North Carolina Mayor Patrick Cannon was arrested and convicted earlier in the year on massive public corruption charges.  During an FBI sting Cannon took tens of thousands of dollars in bribes – including $20,000 in cash delivered in a briefcase in February to the mayor’s office where he also solicited $1 million more.
The media dropped most of the explosive story because Cannon was doing some seriously shady stuff during the 2012 DNC convention and the MSM didn’t want to investigate the corruption.   However, after the convention, in return for money, trips, hotel rooms and access to a luxury SouthPark apartment, Cannon promised to help FBI agents posing as potential commercial investors with zoning, parking and other city-related issues.
North Carolina – Two weeks after he lost his right to vote, former Charlotte mayor and convicted felon Patrick Cannon apparently cast a ballot.
That vote would violate Cannon’s bond and could put him back before a judge, said Greg Forrest, chief of the U.S. Probation Office in Charlotte.  It may even mean the 47-year-old Democrat goes to prison sooner.
“Let’s cut to the chase: He shouldn’t have done that, and we’re going to talk to him tomorrow (Wednesday),” Forrest told the Observer. (more…)

On the night he was “captured” there were many, well, observations that just didn’t align with the previous narrative as delivered.  Frein was clean shaven, well kept, and did not appear to present post-capture in a manner consistent with media reports. 
During an earlier and generally ignored FBI interview (with a few professional trackers) the quiet opinion was that Eric Frein was “playing a game” with law enforcement.  To that end a few opined that his “appearances” were intentional, and he was staying inside the containment zone purposely to continue the hide-and-seek approach. 
Like Eric Rudolph, who evaded capture for five years, not only did Frein know the region far better than his trackers, he was well prepared -and exceptionally well geared- to spend the winter, if he chose. Now this….
(Via CBS) The former fugitive charged with ambushing a Pennsylvania state police barracks had a laptop computer and used the Internet while evading hundreds of law enforcement officials, according to court documents released Tuesday.
State police found the laptop and two storage drives inside an abandoned airplane hangar near the spot where Eric Frein was captured Thursday night, according to a search warrant inventory. Frein told authorities he used unprotected Wi-Fi hotspots to connect to the Internet during his 48-day flight, documents said, raising the possibility he knew where police were focusing their search efforts each day. (Via House Oversight Committee) Last night, in response to an Order from a Federal judge, the Department of Justice turned over 64,280 pages of documents that were withheld from Congress after President Obama asserted Executive Privilege on the eve of a contempt citation for Attorney General Eric Holder in June 2012.

The sheer volume of last night’s document production—which consists entirely of documents that the Justice Department itself acknowledges are not covered by Executive Privilege—shows that the President and the Attorney General attempted to extend the scope of the Executive Privilege well beyond its historical boundaries to avoid disclosing documents that embarrass or otherwise implicate senior Obama Administration officials.
In effect, last night’s production is an admission that the Justice Department never had legitimate grounds to withhold these documents in the first place. Approximately two-thirds of the universe of documents that the Justice Department withheld from Congress has now been shown to be well outside the scope of Executive Privilege. (more…)

Cudos to the WT for being one of the few media outlets willing to expose the insufferable tentacles of the Social Engineering tool now known as “disparate impact”.  

Disparate impact works around the race-baiting problem of equal opportunity by advancing a proposition that only equal outcomes can define whether an adverse impact exists.  A ridiculous proposition.   All people are created equal – but not all people take advantage of the equality afforded them;  some -if not many- are just lazy, and their failures cannot -and should not- be comingled with the success of those who exert effort.

If the Treehouse had infinite financial resources we would challenge disparate impact everywhere it raises its ugly head.  In the interim we will assist ANY endeavor with research, argument formation, and fact-based analysis to deconstruct the racial underpinning used as the foundation to advance a ridiculous ideological construct.
WASHINGTON TIMES – A federal judge overturned the Obama administration’s “desperation” move to try to find more ways to prove discrimination in housing in a decision Monday that also delivered a searing rebuke to Thomas Perez, a Cabinet official whom liberals are pushing to be the next attorney general.
Judge Richard J. Leon ruled that the administration cannot rely on “disparate impact” to judge discrimination, dealing a blow to civil rights groups that said the analytical tool gave them more room to file discrimination cases. (more…)

WASHINGTON • Democrats and civil rights groups are trying to raise turnout among African-American voters around the country Tuesday by invoking a familiar and painful image: Ferguson.

The civil rights group ColorofChange.org said Monday it has distributed fliers to black voters in seven states, including Illinois, with a photo of protests in Ferguson overwritten by the headline, “Enough.” (more…)
