The Decepticon Empire Is Preparing To Strike Back With The Help Of Karl Rove – The Rebel Alliance Tea Party Should Prepare For War…

[National Journal] It took a tea-party insurrection that disabled the federal government and wrecked the Republican brand, but after months of handwringing, establishment Republicans are preparing to attack ultraconservative ideologues across red America.

From Alabama to Alaska, the center-right, business-oriented wing of the Republican Party is gearing up for a series of skirmishes that it hopes can prevent the 2014 midterm election from turning into another missed opportunity. This will not be a coordinated operation. It will be messy, ugly, and prone to backfiring. And if the comeback succeeds, it will be in fits and starts, most likely culminating in the selection of a presidential nominee in 2016.
Hopefully we’ll go into eight to 10 races and beat the snot out of them,” said former Rep. Steve LaTourette of Ohio, whose new political group, Defending Main Street, aims to raise $8 million to fend off tea-party challenges against more mainstream Republican incumbents. “We’re going to be very aggressive and we’re going to get in their faces.”

What Does A Backstabbing Political SOB Do When His Deceptive Self-Serving Hypocritical Personage Has Been Exposed ?

Wait for the dust to settle, wait for short-term memory folks to forget, then enter the distraction zone.  The goal ?  Rehabilitation.

Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wisconsin) one of the Decepticons who voted for Harry Reid’s “cloture” to allow funding of Obamacare, is set to introduce a billSenator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin will propose a new law next week called: “If You Like Your Health Plan, You Can Keep It Act.”

“One of the most important promises made by President Obama and Democrat congressional leadership to promote the Affordable Care Act was that Americans who were satisfied with their health plans could keep them. That promise has been broken. More than a million Americans have been notified that the plans they like with the coverage they have chosen have been canceled. Millions more Americans will have the plans of their choice canceled in months to come,” says Senator Johnson in a statement. (more…)

Oh Good Grief… You Just "Have To" Watch This Video – North Carolina GOP Official Don Yelton

Seriously?   I mean, SERIOUSLY ?….

After delivering racist remarks on “The Daily Show” Wednesday night, North Carolina Republican official Don Yelton has agreed to step down from his position as the GOP’s precinct chairman of Buncombe County.  In an astounding display of boldness, Yelton stood by his bigoted comments a day later and claims he said worse things off-air.

The Buncombe County GOP asked Yelton to step down, a move they’ve made previously before reinstating him this summer, and he has agreed to comply. However, Yelton staunchly defended his comments and claims much harsher comments were made. (read more)

Thousands Are Quickly Becoming Millions As More Healthcare Cancellations Are Received – New Estimate Range 16 to 20 Million Will Lose Their Healthcare Coverage….

…. and when the bough breaks…

CBS’s front man, Scott Pelley, was visibly distraught and filled with tremendous anxiety as he seemed forced to report on the reality – Millions of Americans are losing their healthcare insurance coverage.

Indeed, it  well appears the media are being dragged to report on the reality lest they see themselves completely disconnected, and wallow amid embarrassment.
All of this comes amid a new Weekly Standard report  and Forbes report which outline the sheer magnitude of the cancellation notices now reaching homes coast to coast.

The U.S. individual health insurance market currently totals about 19 million people. Because the Obama administration’s regulations on grandfathering existing plans were so stringent about 85% of those, 16 million, are not grandfathered and must comply with Obamacare at their next renewal.

The rules are very complex. For example, if you had an individual plan in March of 2010 when the law was passed and you only increased the deductible from $1,000 to $1,500 in the years since, your plan has lost its grandfather status and it will no longer be available to you when it would have renewed in 2014.

These 16 million people are now receiving letters from their carriers saying they are losing their current coverage and must re-enroll in order to avoid a break in coverage and comply with the new health law’s benefit mandates––the vast majority by January 1. Most of these will be seeing some pretty big rate increases.  (link)

Welfare Recipients Now Outnumber Full-Time Workers – We've Officially and Statistically Flipped The Lifeboat…

(Via CNS News)  Americans who were recipients of means-tested government benefits in 2011 outnumbered year-round full-time workers, according to data released this month by the Census Bureau. The recipients also out-numbered the total population of the Philippines.

There were 108,592,000 people in the United States in the fourth quarter of 2011 who were recipients of one or more means-tested government benefit programs, the Census Bureau said in data released this week. Meanwhile, according to the Census Bureau, there were 101,716,000 people who worked full-time year round in 2011. That included both private-sector and government workers.
That means there were about 1.07 people getting some form of means-tested government benefit for every 1 person working full-time year round.  (read more)

Dem Congressman Henry Waxman: "a lot of people buy individual insurance and they should be buying it with everybody else"…

Proof of Intent

I’ve been searching and waiting all day for CNN to post video and transcript of this exchange between Erin Burnett and Congressman Henry Waxman from last night 10/23/13.

Why?
Because Waxman accidentally outlined the TRUTH.    When he was questioned by Burnett about President Obama’s promise that everyone will be able to keep their health insurance, against the backdrop of hundreds of thousands of cancellations for private insurance being received, the question was:  “Is/Was the President being honest? The "REAL" War On Women – The War On Families: Obamacare Stories are Heartbreaking and Highlight Who Is Suffering….

HatTip LandauMurphyFan –  As we have outlined the *real* war on women was actually constructed in the backroom of the Senate Chambers;  it goes under the auspices of Obamacare; it was manufactured by insufferable, political, manipulative left-wing liberals; it was based on lies and falsehoods, and it was born through deception and trickery.
Why is Obamacare considered a ‘war-on-families’?  Quite simply because in the vast majority of U.S. households women are the key decision makers regarding their family healthcare plans.    Subsequently anything that impedes desire, deconstructs ability, or reduces freedom for a woman to care for her family, is viewed appropriately as ‘in opposition to’ a families’ best interest.
The Matt Walsh Blog sent a call out to the blogosphere (email addy:  [email protected])  requesting people to send in real-life examples of how Obamacare is impacting people.   Notably, almost every response is from women who are awakening to the new Obamacare realities.  What follows are a few examples:

Meg, Georgia:

I’m a 12-hr night shift nurse in a hospital (the irony). I work part time so that my husband and I can trade off caring for our one-year-old (he’s a firefighter who works 24 hrs on- 48 off on a rotation).

My manager called me and stated I would have to, because of Obamacare- related insurance cost restraints , etc (her words), either go up on the number of hours I work each week or become a per diem employee. Did I mention I’m 6 months pregnant? So, I had to decide whether to go up to working more hours than our family can handle or go “per diem” in which case I’d immediately lose all the paid sick leave I’ve been earning, hoping to use for maternity leave, as well as lose a short term disability policy I’ve been paying for which would also help with maternity leave. Guess which we chose? How on earth do you plan for the future with the future shape-shifting constantly on the whims of egomaniacal and out-of-touch politicians? Thank goodness for a supportive and geographically close extended family.

This "McConnell Rule" Is VERY Worrisome – Chuck Schumer To Push Introduction of McConnell Plan For Future Debt Ceiling Increases….

This was discussed on NBC’s Meet the Press Sunday – With Senator Chuck Schumer announcing his intention to bring up this new fiscal rule.

Reid-Schumer
Essentially, instead of Congress having to vote to raise the debt ceiling, the Executive Branch would have unlimited ability to raise it and Congress could only vote to *disapprove it*.   Meaning, a super-majority would be needed in the Senate (66 votes) to BLOCK the President from raising the debt ceiling.
Mitch McConnell 3It is called the “McConnell Rule” because, unbelievably, it was Republican Senator Mitch McConnell’s idea. Go figure.
(Via National Review Online) Senator Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) is planning on introducing legislation containing Senator Mitch McConnell’s proposal to change the debt ceiling and weaken Congress’s power over it.

“One way to avoid this from happening again is for us to implement the McConnell rule, which says that Congress must disapprove rather than approve increases in the debt ceiling,” Schumer said on Meet the Press. “If we were to do that, the chances of going up to the brink again, the chances of this kind of debacle would decrease. I’m going to introduce legislation to do just that, and it would really help.”
