Hillary Clinton lawyers now claiming after they decided what was “business” and what was “personal” email, they destroyed everything. Gee, who didn’t see that coming….

WASHINGTON DC – Former secretary of state Hillary Clinton failed to provide any new documents to the congressional panel investigating the Benghazi terrorist attacks, instead notifying the committee that she has “wipe[d] her server clean,” the lead investigator announced.

“After seeking and receiving a two week extension from the Committee, Secretary Clinton failed to provide a single new document to the subpoena issued by the Committee and refused to provide her private server to the Inspector General for the State Department or any other independent arbiter for analysis,” Representative Trey Gowdy (R., S.C.), the chairman of the select committee investigating the attacks, announced Friday evening. Washington Post author Richard Cohen is trying -miserably- to construct an analogy of political rushing to judgment surrounding Benghazi Libya and Ferguson Missouri. “Trying” is obviously the operative word.

[Richard Cohen] …Ferguson has become the liberal Benghazi. It is more of a cause than a place, more of an ideological statement than an incident. Ferguson was not the racist murder it was thought to be, and Benghazi was not an incident in which the Obama administration’s incompetence or timidity allowed four Americans to die. Wordsmithing analogies require some level of similarity. Toward that end only the most inane of liberal minds could possibly conceive of a proposition claiming the death of U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, Sean Smith, Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty – have any comparison to a Ferguson street thug attacking a police officer; yet Cohen tries.

So in an effort to actually provide Cohen with similarity allow me to show what was, factually, similar in both instances. (more…)

Earlier this month, in response to the exponentially growing email scandal, Hillary Clinton said:

…“the vast majority of my work emails went to government employees at their government addresses, which meant they were captured and preserved immediately on the system at the State Department”….

Except they weren’t.

They didn’t.

Very interesting article by Monica Crowley in the Washington Times pondering over the communications and non-official relationship between Hillary Clinton and Sidney Blumenthal. Blumenthal said to be in direct contact with various foreign governments and agencies to backchannel information to Hillary around official U.S. oversight.

Against the backdrop of what we researched -evidenced within The Benghazi Brief– the secret intelligence communication motive does make a lot of sense.

WASHINGTON TIMES – We all know that the only reason you would deliberately and premeditatedly set up a private email address and server is to have total control over your communications — to keep people away from those communications and to retain the ability to edit and delete your content.

In Hillary Clinton’s case, given her long history of concealment and duplicity, total control was the system’s purpose, not to keep track of Chelsea’s bridal gift registry.

A story originally reported in 2013 (and little-noticed at the time) may offer a deeper dimension to the reasons she wanted this control — and it leaves us with many new, unanswered questions. (more…)

The form is called an OF-109 and it has become the latest center of a controversy over the Hillary Clinton email scandal. Essentially the legally binding form requires the signature of all exiting State Dept Personnel affirming they have turned over all official documents to the custody of the State Dept.   Update for video:

Hillary left her office at the end of 2012.  However, because she only used a personal email system (including server), for official State Dept business, she did not produce the documents until late-summer 2014.

Megyn Kelly and Fox News submitted FOIA requests for information of the form Hillary was required to sign. (more…)

Quick thoughts about substance to Gowdy media appearance:

Hillary has deleted her now infamous avatar showing her on board a military plane en route to Libya.

The picture was taken in 2011 by Time Magazine and titled “Clinton checks her PDA in sunglasses upon departure in a military plane from Malta, bound for Tripoli, on October 18, 2011.” She claims the removal as part of a campaign to raise awareness of women’s rights. However, given the nature of this Gowdy revelation it’s easy to see the real motivation.

(Via Daily Signal) During an appearance on CBS News’ “Face the Nation” today, Rep. Trey Gowdy said there are “huge gaps” in the emails he has received from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton related to the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, on Sept. 11, 2012.

[…]  Gowdy mentioned the “iconic” photo of then-Secretary Clinton during that trip, looking at her “handheld device.”

So true:

Yesterday the White House spokesperson Josh Earnest suggested that President Obama first knew of the existence of a secret Clinton email account after reading about it in the recent papers.  Today President Obama confirmed that espousal:

In interview with @plantecbs, Pres Obama says he learned of Hillary Clinton's private e-mail use "the same time everybody else learned it."

Today, Politico is reporting the White House knew specifically about the email accounts in August of last year (2014), and the Clinton aides asked white house officials not to immediately act on anything:

(Politico) The White House, State Department and Hillary Clinton’s personal office knew in August that House Republicans had received information showing that the former secretary of state conducted official government business through her private email account — and Clinton’s staff made the decision to keep quiet.

Sources familiar with the discussions say key people in the Obama administration and on Clinton’s staff were aware that the revelation could be explosive for the all-but-announced candidate for president. But those involved deferred to Clinton’s aides, and they decided not to respond. (link)

Further in the Politico article it cites the timeline of August 2014 notification came as a result of the Select Committee on Benghazi and their inquires into communication within the State Dept. between Hillary and other officials. (more…)

CNN is reporting, through Evan Perez again, that General David Petraeus is expected to plead guilty to a federal probe that he gave classified pillow-talk intelligence to Paula Broadwell during their affair in 2011/2012.

It should be noted, however, that Evan Perez was recently the CNN reporter who presented an entirely false story about a DHS report on Soverign Citizens where he portrayed the report as DHS worried about right-wing extremist groups. Nothing in his interpretation of the report was even remotely accurate – it was manufactured from left-wing ideological loin cloth (backstory).

According to the CNN article:

(CNN)—Gen. David Petraeus is expected to plead guilty to federal charges to end a probe into whether he provided classified information to his mistress when he was CIA director, according to a U.S. official briefed on the matter.

The insufferable GOP had better knock off using the Clinton email controversy to attack. If the GOP is not careful the substance of the Hillary manipulation and deception will be lost amid the MSM talking points of the controversy merely being a Republican partisan attack.

Framing her defense that way has already protected her Benghazi Scandal from the sunlight of congressional inquiry, and more importantly a public understanding the issues at hand.

A far better approach would be simple questions to people like John “Skippy” Podesta, Admiral Mullen and the ARB authors, about how long they have known that Secretary Clinton was using a personal email account to conduct official U.S. State Dept business.

Get them all on record, then follow-up with a blistering series of “why” questions.
