Across America, radical left-wing pundits are screaming for Obama to go full dictator and take away 2nd Amendment rights.  During Obama’s press conference yesterday he called for outlawing the private sale of used firearms. Obama calls these “loophole” gun sales.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 48% of Americans believe more action to treat mental health issues will do the most to prevent incidents like last Friday’s school shootings in Newtown, Connecticut. Twenty-seven percent (27%) think stricter gun control laws will do the most to prevent such shootings, while 15% put the emphasis on limits on violent movies and video games. The National Rifle Association, while staying mostly quiet in the immediate aftermath of the mass shooting in Connecticut, has registered an average of 8,000 new members a day since the tragedy, an NRA source told Fox News.

While this broadly aligns with trends seen after similar incidents in the past, the surge in membership this time is said to dwarf past trends.

The source, based on his access to an internal memo prepared by the organization’s membership division, said both the number of individual contributions to the NRA and their average amount have risen significantly in this period. (more…)

Wal-Mart Runs Out

(BloomBerg)  With President Barack Obama endorsing sweeping gun restrictions in the wake of the school shootings in Newtown, Connecticut, prices for handgun magazines are surging on EBay (EBAY) and semi-automatic rifles are sold out at many Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (WMT) locations.

Wal-Mart, the world’s largest retailer, said yesterday that it would continue to sell guns, including rifles like the one used at Newtown, where 26 people, most of them children, were killed on Dec. 14. By contrast, Dick’s Sporting Goods Inc. (DKS) suspended sales of similar guns at its more than 500 stores. (more…)

Perhaps because I have tuned out the TV but I was unaware the students were NOT in Kindergarten, nor was I aware of this report of a single surviving student from the Sandy Hook elementary school class.   Many people questioned why no survivors.  Well, apparently, one little girl was able to survive:  (*Note, is this old news?)

(NewsBusters) CNN’s Piers Morgan has been on a rabid anti-gun rant since July’s Aurora, Colorado, shootings that has gotten even more venomous after Friday’s massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut.

On Tuesday, he rudely and disgracefully tore into guest Larry Pratt, the Executive Director of Gun Owners of America, calling him “an unbelievably stupid man” who’s “dangerous,” concluding the interview by saying, “You shame your country” (transcript available here):

Liberal Lies – In the wake of the tragic Newtown massacre, we’re hearing all the usual lies and misconceptions about firearms. And since it’s wise to be educated on a topic before advocating policy on it, this is a good time to explode the gun myths being bandied about.

1. The issue is automatic weapons. – Boston mayor Thomas Menino and CNN’s Don Lemon both recently repeated the common mantra that we have to get “automatic weapons” off the streets. Automatic weapons, however, are machine guns, which, except for individuals who receive special permission from the federal government, have been illegal to own since the passage of The National Firearms Act in 1934. In addition, the Firearms Owners’ Protection Act of 1986 made it generally illegal for any civilian to own an automatic weapon manufactured after that year. (more…)

Imagine for just one minute that George Bush, or any Republican was in the White House, and this exact same report was released……   “Leadership failures” at the State Department, but Hillary’s all good…. unreal. 

WASHINGTON (AP) — An independent panel charged with investigating the deadly Sept. 11 attack in Libya that killed a U.S. ambassador and three other Americans has concluded that systematic management and leadership failures at the State Department led to “grossly” inadequate security at the mission in Benghazi.  (full report here)

“Systematic failures and leadership and management deficiencies at senior levels within two bureaus of the State Department resulted in a Special Mission security posture that was inadequate for Benghazi and grossly inadequate to deal with the attack that took place,” the panel said.

The report singled out the Bureau of Diplomatic Security and the Bureau of Near East Affairs for criticism, saying there appeared to be a lack of cooperation and confusion over protection at the mission in Benghazi, a city in Eastern Libya that was relatively lawless after the revolution that toppled Libyan strongman Moammar Gadhafi. The net is flooding with conspiracy theory about this shooting. Most, if not all of them, are total bunk.  However there are genuine and reasonable concerns with the initial, and evolved, and re-evolved, and re-re-re-evolved reports; and indeed there are still too many contradictory issues that don’t pass a common sense test.   

As before, we are going to revisit the initial questions, update some, explain others with new information, and see where it adds up.   Also, can you think of any to add to the list?   Starting with…. why the pictures of a 20 year old shooter as a child? Where’s the recent pics?   Not one picture of this guy since 2008 High School?   He graduated as a sophomore.

1.) New Question:   A lot of people have missed the statements that Lanza was on “anti-psychotics”.  That translates to schizophrenic.  “…but it cites Adam’s uncle who said he was taking an anti-psychotic drug called Fanapt”.  This is a newly approved drug that basically got through Phase 3 trials on questionable data manipulation.  The issue was/is side effects. Saw this report earlier…. according to someone “in the know”, mom was about to commit junior to a facility, and the same source says she volunteered at the School which  junior was jealous of.  *Note I’m not posting pictures of that guy again*

NEWTOWN, Conn. – The gunman who slaughtered 20 children and six adults at a Connecticut elementary school may have snapped because his mother was planning to commit him to a psychiatric facility, according to a lifelong resident of the area who was familiar with the killer’s family and several of the victims’ families.

Adam Lanza, 20, targeted Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown after killing his mother early Friday because he believed she loved the school “more than she loved him,” said Joshua Flashman, 25, who grew up not far from where the shooting took place. Flashman, a U.S. Marine, is the son of a pastor at an area church where many of the victims’ families worship. (more…)
