Oh, gag-a-maggot….. I’m forced to violate my own principled six-month-old decision to ignore this Decepticon. Why? Well, because the message is important. Yes, as said, there are times when Institutional Republicans can align with freedom-minded conservatives, this, apparently, is one of those times:
“Everything they’re telling you about what they could do about guns is a lie… For some reason Wayne LaPierre is not making this point so you’ll have to hear it from me. Universal background checks means universal registration. Universal registration means universal confiscation, universal extermination. That’s how it goes in history. Do not fall for universal background checks.”
MINNESOTA – President Obama on Monday tried to undercut National Rifle Association leaders and appeal directly to their membership, claiming gun owners support the “common-sense” gun control measures he’s proposed — and urging those supporters to “keep the pressure” on Congress.
The president spoke in Minnesota, in his first campaign-style stop as part of a second-term push for new firearms laws.
On the other side of that debate, the NRA has aggressively argued against Democrats’ call for a new and stronger assault-weapons ban, a ban on high-capacity magazines and universal background checks. But in a risky move, the president used his speech Monday to try and sideline America’s most powerful gun lobby. (more…)
Ron Paul sent out a tweet today.

Interestingly enough I was just talking about this yesterday. It is quite possible to be so far in one direction on the “Freedom Continuum” that you circle back around to the complete opposite side. (more…)
Seriously, I don’t want to frame what he is saying, nor provide any interpretation of it other than what he is actually advocating. Just listen and think for yourself what exactly is Jesse Jackson calling for (It’s only two minutes):
We have written, researched, shared, discussed and dissected the “Decepticons” at great length. Decepticons are Deceptive Conservatives.
Many people are familiar with the term “RINO”, Republican in Name Only. But that is NOT a Decepticon. RINO’s are openly anti-constitution, anti-freedom and self-interested Big Government types (See John McCain and Lyndsey Graham). Occasionally RINO’s align with freedom principles over issues like Benghazi. But in general RINO’s are totally comfy with the TSA, The Patriot Act, and other freedom reducing aspects of big government.
Decepticons on the other hand, are the back-stabbing sneaky types; manipulative Super-Rino’s, or RINO’s on steroids sitting in Corinthian Leather chairs, drinking taxpayer-funded cognac, eating sandwiches without crusts, wearing pinky rings and plotting how to manipulate, and yet keep their machinations hidden. Karl Rove, Mitch McConnell, John Boehner, Orin Hatch are examples of Decepticons. (more…)
For clarity. In concession, I personally am not against state-run background checks using all available secure databases. However, I am vehemently against a national database of actual gun owners. There is a big difference, and one I have yet to see anyone articulate in the public media forums.
Meaning, once you have cleared the “state” background check hurdle, and are able to purchase firearm(s), no-one should know what, how many, or what type you own. Check the background, approve the purchase, and that’s the end of it. No further record keeping.
…. And NO. No-one should TRUST this administration about this. NO-ONE.
(The Hill) When pressed by host Chris Wallace on the fact that the White House has said nothing about a universal registry, LaPierre responded, “And ‘ObamaCare’ wasn’t a tax until they needed it to be a tax. I don’t think you can trust these people.” (more…)

Mega fail…. but the progs who don’t pay attention to the constitution, or even have a semblance of understanding of the 10th amendment or division of relegated powers. Duh.
Discussing gun control, CNN’s Wolf Blitzer on Friday told a Utah sheriff that if Barack Obama issues an executive order, that order is the law and the sheriff must obey.
However, jurisprudence on this topic reveals exactly the opposite.
As the head of the executive branch of the federal government, a president can issue executive orders only to employees of the federal government—and only regarding implementing federal laws or programs. A governor can likewise issue executive orders to employees of his state government regarding the laws or programs of that state.
Every sheriff is a county officer, elected by the voters of that county. The Supreme Court held in Printz v. U.S. in 1997 that the Tenth Amendment forbids the federal government from ever ordering any state or local official to carry out a federal program. Ironically, that case also involved a sheriff—Jay Printz of Montana—and a federal gun control law. (continue reading)
Exceptional gun control. Attacked by two thugs in a school Gun Free School Zone, one thug dead – another wounded.
DETROIT MICHIGAN – (WXYZ) – Police sources tell 7 Action News that a women’s basketball coach from Martin Luther King, Jr. Senior High School shot two men who attacked him as he was walking two female basketball players to their cars in the school parking lot.
Police sources say the coach was walking the two girls to their cars when two men allegedly approached and one pulled out a gun and grabbed him by his chain necklace. The coach then pulled out his gun and shot both of them, according to sources.
The man who shot the attackers was 70 years old, according to police.
One of the attackers was found dead in the median on Lafayette Boulevard, and the other was taken to a local hospital, according to police sources. We’ve learned that both of the men had attended the high school, and one had been recently expelled.
Police sources say the coach has a Concealed Pistol License and is reportedly a reserve police officer. They say he is fully cooperating with authorities. (more with video)
