“America’s Presidents” is a permanent exhibition, located on the second floor of the National Portrait Gallery at 8th and G Streets, NW in Washington, D.C.
WASHINGTON DC – When the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery reopens on May 14 after being closed because of the Covid-19 pandemic, it will do so with a new work—a photograph of former President Donald J. Trump. Installed in the museum’s signature exhibition, “America’s Presidents,” the portrait will hang in a space reserved for the nation’s most recent former president and will be a part of the permanent collections:
“The 2019 image of Trump is one of many captured by the award-winning photographer Pari Dukovic, while on assignment for Time magazine. Taken on June 17, after Trump officially announced his plans to run for reelection, the image depicts him perched at the edge of a maroon chair with one hand resting on the historic Resolute Desk in the Oval Office.”

Wow, all your children are belong to us. West Virginia Governor Jim Justice made an announcement today his administration will pay $100 savings bonds to anyone aged 16 to 35 who will take the COVID-19 vaccine.
Fearing that forty percent of the West Virginia population might not get vaccinated, the West Virginia governor has announced he will give a one hundred dollar savings bond to everyone aged 16 to 35. The money will come from the CARES Act funding. “They’re not taking vaccines as fast as we’d like them to take them,” Gov. The California Secretary of State, Dr. Shirley N. Weber, has announced the recall effort to remove Governor Gavin Newsom has produced more than enough valid signatures to trigger a recall election.

Once again the FBI is outlined by the FISA court using the NSA database for warrantless searches of American citizen information. This is the fourth consecutive year the FISA court has outlined abuse of the NSA database by FBI workers, contractors and officials.

Former Representative Doug Collins announces today that he will not be a candidate for elected office in the future. However, he intends to stay active in conservative politics.
Collins last ran for the Senate seat in Georgia against Republican appointee Kelly Loeffler and lost in the primary. Loeffler was supported by Mitch McConnell and the establishment republican party; Collins was viewed as the outsider. [Announcement Link]
