Justice099 was one of the first Treepers yesterday, and again today, to point out that each version of the ABC interview with B29 is highly edited to put her recorded answers behind completely differing questions.
Now ABC is being called out by a far left of center media enterprise, Slate.Com. They too note not only the high editing, but also the construct of the edits themselves to make it appear that Juror B29 said things she absolutely did not say:
ABC News hasn’t posted a full unedited video or transcript of the interview. The video that has been broadcast—on World News Tonight, Nightline, and Good Morning America—has been cut and spliced in different ways, often so artfully that the transitions appear continuous. So beware what you’re seeing. But the video that’s available already shows, on closer inspection, that Maddy has been manipulated and misrepresented. Here are the key points. (link)
ABC has been shown time and time again to be biased in their use of new stories to highlight political agendas. Some of the most famous recent examples come from their coverage of the George Zimmerman case.
Remember it was ABC’s Matt Gutman, and his counterpart, Candace Smith, a Howard University Alum, who captured so many of the Zimmerman case “exclusives”.
Unfortunately, each of those exclusives was heavily constructed to send a specific biased narrative:
EXAMPLE: The mysterious exclusive of the 911 call recordings on 3/16/12 when Gutman/Smith coordinated with the Martin Family Scheme Team at Sanford Mayor Tripletts office.

EXAMPLE: The mysterious exclusive of the CCTV recording from inside the Sanford Police Station which we outlined as corrupted footage because their video showed the camera panning etc, when we knew the cameras at the station were fixed mounted. So it was clear that ABC was filming footage of a TV Screen rather than running the actual raw feed from the police dept. Intentional manipulation.
EXAMPLE: Another example was the injury pictures to George Zimmerman. After numerous news cycles of them claiming no injuries present, they finally conceded they had failed to actually present the truth to his injuries.
EXAMPLE: ABC also took fire for falsely using pictures of Trayvon Martin which were five years old, and claiming they represented his current appearance on the night he was shot. Conversely, they used 7 year old pictures of George Zimmerman to present an image, along with written reports by Gutman, of Zimmerman weighing 70lbs more than he actually did on the night of the encounter.
EXAMPLE: And who can forget the “exclusive” phone interview, 3/19/12 set up by Martin Family Attorney, Benjamin Crump, with Witness #8, Rachel Jeantel (?) where the witness states under oath she was not told the interview was being recorded or attended by the media. The interview where she was sold to the media as 16 years old, Trayvon’s puppy love, his girlfriend, life long friend, who was devastated and hospitalized.
It was only when depositions were literally hours away that all of a sudden Witness #8, aka “Dee Dee”, aka Rachel Jeantel, evolved into a non-girlfriend, who was actually 18-years-old, and who never went to the hospital. [Later it was determined that Rachel only met Trayvon two weeks earlier, on 2/1/12 at her birthday party, and only talked to him twice before he was kicked out of school again and his Dad put him on a Greyhound bus to Sanford].
Matt Gutman claimed he was the only one with the actual audio from that interview; Yet during the pre-trial discovery, mysteriously, the *full* audio disappeared. Well, that is, according to the ABC production and legal department. Gutman conveniently lost his tongue once it became a matter of legal interest in the trial.
So does it really come as a surprise that ABC’s newly out of the closet Robin Roberts, who received exclusive BFF interviews from President Obama about his new position on Gay Marriage, and who shares the platform with former Clinton White House spokesperson George Stephanopolous, would participate in yet another manipulated ABC exclusive?
Really?
After all, this is the same crew who oddly questioned Mitt Romney, during the presidential primary debate season, about contraceptive coverage under insurance plans (October 2011). As everyone looked oddly upon Stephanopolous trying to figure out where that came from; Then mysteriously, and conveniently, the Democrat Party Platform evolved itself around a college student named Sandra Fluke and her demands for contraceptive coverage…. which famously evolved further into the 2012 WAR ON WOMEN narrative.
So gee, ya think ABC would deceptively edit a taped interview into talking points merely to sell a storyline that in actuality did not ever exist?
