The White House is pleased to release a new report from the Office of Trade and Manufacturing Policy entitled “Donald J. Trump: The Buy American, Hire American President.”

This comprehensive report demonstrates that President Trump has not only talked about “Made in the USA,” he has made it a reality across five dimensions of a comprehensive strategy [pdf available here]:

1. Buy American Government Procurement;
2. Hire American initiatives;
3. Trade negotiations and tariffs;
4. The defense budget and foreign military sales; and  5. Support for America’s maritime industry

By focusing on “Made in the USA” across these five dimensions, the result has been a long-overdue renaissance in American manufacturing and a significant strengthening of America’s defense industrial base. As President Trump has often said, “Economic security is indeed national security.”

The ADP private sector payroll report [link here] reflects continued rapid recovery from the regional COVID-19 shutdowns. The monthly report shows gains of 749,000 jobs, exceeding the expected 650,000 forecast.

One of the key factors is the expiration of the disincentive via the federal COVID unemployment mechanism that provided an additional $600/month beyond normal earnings in the unemployment package. This has been a topic of many coversations in my travels as working-class businesses have been having a hard time getting people to return to work.  (more on that below)

(Reuters) Private payrolls increased by 749,000 jobs this month after rising 481,000 in August, the ADP National Employment Report showed. Economists polled by Reuters had forecast private payrolls would rise by 650,000 in September. Employment gains were spread across all industries and company size.

When GM announced they were closing their Lordstown, Ohio, plant in 2018 President Trump jumped into action to negotiate a deal between GM and a new company intent on building an electric pickup truck.  GM sold the plant in 2019 to Lordstown Motors and took a partial equity stake in the new company… a win/win deal that saved the jobs for the auto workers and ancillary businesses in Ohio.

When Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross appears… PAY ATTENTION.  In this interview Secretary Ross outlines an announcement today [LINK HERE] about the U.S. will block Chinese owned WeChat, and additional security measures against TikTok.

COMMERCE – […] While the threats posed by WeChat and TikTok are not identical, they are similar. Each collects vast swaths of data from users, including network activity, location data, and browsing and search histories. Each is an active participant in China’s civil-military fusion and is subject to mandatory cooperation with the intelligence services of the CCP. This combination results in the use of WeChat and TikTok creating unacceptable risks to our national security. (more)

Additionally, Secretary Ross discusses sector-specific relief for the airline industry and U.S. farmers. On the farmer side we should all remember any confrontation with Beijing could lead to China pulling back from purchase agreements. China cannot feed itself and is dependent on imported food products, so the scale of any pull-back is not known.

Those who have followed the Trump administration’s decoupling strategy will note the potential conflict from within this approach is a ‘nothing to lose’ proposition from Donald Trump’s perspective.

The Trump administration announced today the Department of Homeland Security, via U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, are about to start blocking the import of products from five specific entities in western China’s Xinjiang region.  The objective is to block products that come from forced Uighur labor in Xinjiang, China.

The authority comes from U.S. “Withhold Release Orders” (WRO’s) that allows U.S. Customs and Border Protection to detain shipments based on suspicion of forced-labor involvement under long-standing U.S. laws to combat human trafficking, child labor and other human rights abuses.  Ken Cuccinelli explains to Lou Dobbs.

At first blush this might seem detrimental to the objectives of the U.S-China Phase-One trade deal. However, if you have followed the decoupling process closely; including the warnings given by Trump to U.S. multinationals; you will note there is no specific downside to this confrontation.

A few days ago Samsung announced they would stop production and manufacturing of Televisions in China by November.  Today they announce they will stop the sales of high-tech chips to Chinese owned Hauwei.

ANDROID HEADLINES – In the latest blow to Huawei, South Korean chip manufacturers Samsung and HK Hynix will reportedly cease all trades with the Chinese company beginning next week. This comes after the US Department of Commerce last month announced an amendment to the trade restrictions it imposed on Huawei back in May.

According to reports from various Korean news outlets, the companies will suspend trade on September 15th. That’s when the new set of rules come into effect. The rules bar any American or non-American company that uses a US-origin software or technology from selling components to Huawei. Any such trade would require the companies to obtain special approval from the American government.

Despite the media providing manipulative cover (narrative engineering) for the sheer hypocrisy of this effort, Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden is going to attempt to kick-off an “America First” economic plan in Michigan tomorrow.

First, accept the reality… Biden is choosing Michigan. If the media-claimed national Biden polling lead was legit, he would not be headed to Michigan to attempt this insufferable political scheme.

Second, in order for Beijing Biden to even attempt to pull this stunt off he has to rebuke his own decades long economic record of offshoring jobs to China and creating a U.S. service driven economy.

It was the Obama-Biden administration who said those manufacturing jobs were never coming back to the U.S. It was President Trump who reversed the Biden/Obama trade positions and factually started bringing manufacturing jobs back into the U.S.

Candidate Joe Biden supported the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) the largest single scheme to maintain the U.S. as a service driven economy and push manufacturing into southeast Asia.  It was Joe Biden who supported the Trans-Atlantic Trade and Investment Partership (TTIP) a similar globalist construct toward Europe.

Now that Wall Street’s U.S. Chamber of Commerce has dropped their mask, we see decepticon Tom Donohue align with corrupt labor union leader Richard Trumka.

The dark-forces now align to retain personal power, increase their own wealth, diminish Main Street, and win the 2020 election at all costs.  A remarkable realignment of anti-American individuals for a specific and self-interested purpose. Despite the stunning alignment I doubt conservative media will admit their role in selling decades of fraud.

Perhaps now people will wake-up…. Perhaps now those suffering from battered conservative syndrome will take a new look at their abusers…. Perhaps now the larger American electorate will re-evaluate… Perhaps now people will understand the scale of opposition… Perhaps now people will absorb what “trillions at stake means”…

WASHINGTON –  The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is endorsing 18 House Democrats who voted in favor of raising the federal minimum wage to $15, a policy the business group said would cost the country 3.7 million jobs.

The endorsements are part of a decision from the group’s political advocacy committee to back a slate of 23 freshman House Democrats and 29 freshman Republicans, according to an internal memo obtained by the Hill. Of the 23 Democrats endorsed by the chamber, 18 voted in favor of the Raise the Wage Act of 2019, which would more than double the federal minimum wage to $15 by 2025.
