Sarah Palin began her bus tour only one day ago, however, by today she already had the press corps following her around like starstruck paparazzi.  Her unconventional bus ride has driven the “lame stream” media to the brink, as they try to guess her every stop and interpret her every motive.  Ingenious plan Sarah…you control your own message.  You’ve taken away the media filters, and you’ve forced them to check your own SarahPAC website for information…information which updates only after you’ve stopped somewhere. (The Hill) — Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin lead a winnowed-down Republican presidential primary field, according to a poll released Thursday. Seventeen percent of Republicans said in a new Gallup poll they would like to see Romney win the GOP nomination; 15 percent would back Palin. The poll is the first major national poll since several would-be candidates — Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and real estate mogul Donald Trump — announced they wouldn’t seek the nomination. (more…)

WASHINGTON — Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is beginning a bus tour of the eastern United States in the nation’s capital over Memorial Day weekend, the latest in a string of moves that indicate she may be moving closer to running for the Republican presidential nomination.

“Starting this weekend, Sarah Palin will embark on a One Nation tour of historical sites that were key to the formation, survival, and growth of the United States of America,” said Tim Crawford, treasurer of Palin’s fundraising group, SarahPAC, in a statement provided to The Huffington Post. “The tour will originate in Washington DC and will proceed north up the east coast. Stoking more speculation about whether she intends to run for the White House, Sarah Palin is sending out 400,000 direct mail fundraising solicitations for 2012, including to voters in earlier primary states. First reported by The Washington Post, the solicitations are titled “2012 Can’t Come Fast Enough,” but make no specific mention of her plans.

“Taking back control of the House last year was only the first step,” Palin says in the mailer from SarahPac, sent out nationwide. “Now you and I must fix our eyes on 2012. Our goal is to take back the White House and the Senate.” (more…)
