Mystery Solved…Clint Eastwood’s Going To Make The RNC’s Day!

H/T to theebl…. 😀

(Deadline.com)…Clint Eastwood will be speaking at the Republican Convention in Tampa on Thursday according to Fox News. The network’s website is reporting that a GOP source confirmed “that Eastwood is indeed the mystery speaker”. Thursday night’s line-up has a “To Be Announced” speaker scheduled ahead of Senator Marco Rubio and GOP Presidential nominee Mitt Romney himself. Eastwood’s name was floated earlier this week as the speaker along with former VP nominee Sarah Palin, Donald Trump and even a hologram of former President Ronald Reagan. No stranger to politics, Eastwood served as the Mayor of Carmel, California from 1986 to 1988. He supported John McCain in 2008 and endorsed Mitt Romney earlier this month at a Sun Valley fundraiser. “Now more than ever do we need Mitt Romney, I’m going to be voting for him,” the Oscar winner said as the GOP nominee stood next to him on August 4. If Eastwood is really heading to Tampa to speak Thursday evening, he’s going to have to get going soon. Deadline has learned that as of Wednesday afternoon, the actor/director was still at his home in Carmel. Eastwood’s latest film, Trouble With The Curve comes out on September 21, 2012.

In honor of Clint Eastwood’s official endorsement of Gov. Romney, we’d like to regale you with this little retrospective on the last four years….courtesy of some of Clint’s most memorable quotes.  (Language warning)

Whoopsie – The Media’s Romney Hate Accidentally Caught on Tape…. They React With the Usual Apologetic Firing….

(Via NewsBusters)  During live coverage of the Republican National Convention here in Tampa, Yahoo News Washington bureau chief David  Chalian provided the perfect example of the pervasive anti-Republican bias  Mitt Romney faces in his bid to unseat President Barack Obama.

David ChalianIn video broadcast Monday night by ABC and Yahoo over the Internet, David Chalian  can be heard claiming that GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney and his wife  Ann are unconcerned about the fate of residents of the New Orleans area who are  currently being hit by Hurricane Isaac.

“They aren’t concerned at all, they are happy to  have a party when black people drown.”

Yahoo News Washington bureau chief David  Chalian

That line elicits laughter from several employees listening in on the  joke.

Update – FOX News Employee Calls Sarah Palin a Zealot (Video)…. Nah, the word was “Salad” The Speaker Was Brit Hume… LOL

It sounds to me like a producer “sound over” from a production member in the audio feed.  A “live mike” behind the scenes at Fox News catches someone calling Sarah Palin a “zealot“?  Listen and decide for yourself.

Update: Brit Hume took to Twitter to claim the voice was his and the word is “salad.”

The Angst of the Shaky McMerkins Convention

Hey, wha the….  Bounce Houses?…. Duuuude.

“I want to make sure that when the Republican Party loses, terribly to, in my opinion, the worst president in history, I want [them to know] it’s because they systematically shut out the most intelligent, most youthful and active voting bloc in American history,” said Ron Paul voter Mike Timoney.

(Via BigFurHat @iOTW)  All throughout the Paulbot invasion, armed only with their rudeness and delusions, I tried to tell the hot pocket brigade that the huge flaw in their system gaming was that the majority of the voters would have stomped them into small piles of Reynold’s Wrap if the popular votes were dismissed and the nomination was simply handed to Shaky McMerkins. Messaging 101 – Learn from the master Lee Atwater

Many modern-day political followers would proclaim that no modern-era President or politician was ever as hated as George W Bush.

Against the backdrop of visible hate they might just be right.

However, against the ideology of defining hate level by the strength of the hater, more people still would attach the “most hated” label to Karl Rove.

Each contingent might just be right; it is, quite simply and historically, too early to tell.

However, I would argue the most hated, and subsequently most influential, man is actually the person who gave rise to both Karl Rove and George W Bush, Lee Atwater.

Lee Atwater was the mentor for Karl Rove, and subsequently under his tutelage “The architect” was born. Were it not for the messaging system of Karl Rove, learned at the knee of the master Atwater, few would doubt the 2004 electoral victory of Dubya.

But what made Lee Atwater so darned good is exactly what is needed right now.    It was Atwater who helped bring Ronald Reagan to victory against Jimmy Carter.   A look at Atwater’s messaging style could seriously benefit today’s patriots. (more…)

Morale – Actions Speak Louder Than Polls

(via MoonBattery) Collectivists are fond of indulging in their perception of themselves as intellectually superior to their individualist opponents. No doubt they think they are much better read. Yet when the libs at Amazon put together an “election heat map” indicating which states are reading red (conservative) versus blue (moonbatty) books, the result was a countermoonbat landslide:

Only six states are selling more liberal books bought than conservative titles: Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maryland, New York and DC. DC is the bluest of the blue states, with 78% of political purchases coming in blue, topped by Barack Obama’s own two titles, Dreams From My Father and The Audacity of Hope. (more…)
