(Via Moonbattery) For the liberal agenda to succeed, individual conscience must be eliminated, so that only the State and its affiliates determine what is right and wrong. That won’t happen so long as Christianity exists in a meaningful form.
Unfortunately for our liberal rulers, they do not yet have the political leverage to repeal the First Amendment, which explicitly prohibits restrictions on the free exercise of religion.
No worries; they simply twist the establishment clause of this same amendment to mean there can be no Christianity where there is government. In a country where government has bloated to the point of crowding out almost everything that is not coercion-based, that is virtually the same as a ban.
For example, colleges are heavily subsidized by the government; therefore, Christianity can be purged from college football teams. (more…)

NEVADA – U.S. Sen. Harry Reid on Thursday called supporters of Bunkerville rancher Cliven Bundy “domestic terrorists” because they defended him against a Bureau of Land Management cattle roundup with guns and put their children in harm’s way.

“They’re nothing more than domestic terrorists,” Reid said during an appearance at a Las Vegas Review-Journal “Hashtags & Headlines” event at the Paris. “I repeat: what happened there was domestic terrorism.”
The BLM shut down its weeklong roundup of Bundy’s cattle Saturday after an armed confrontation with militia members who had traveled to Southern Nevada.

REMEMBER THE BIGGER BROTHER? – If we had unlimited resources I would love to put a research team together to research all of the information data-mining that’s currently going on.   After some research on my own I was astounded to read the “business models” of quasi-private businesses who are currently engaged in analysis for the legality of various information sharing concepts with governmental agencies.
It looks like THIS
APLR collections and various registration/information hubs are evolving rapidly and there is no currently proposed legislation to allow people to “opt out”.   I’m not even sure if there ever will be a technological way to opt out.
WASHINGTON DC – As if many Americans needed another reason to dislike the post office, word now comes that it wants to begin mining and selling private data gathered from the personal mail of Americans.
USPS chief marketing and sales officer Nagisa Manabe recently told the PostalVision 2020 conference that the post office is “actively looking for ways to build new business lines around what not long ago might have been considered science fiction.”

A very similar historical pattern is evolving.   First, Vladimir Putin used the concern for Russian nationalists in Ukraine as justification for military incursion into Crimea and Eastern Ukraine.   This is the same justification Adolf Hitler used to move troops into Poland.

Now, just like before, Jews in Eastern Ukraine are told they need to register their personage or their property will be confiscated.  “Register or be Deported”.

UKRAINE – A leaflet distributed in Donetsk, Ukraine calling for all Jews over 16 years old to register as Jews marred the Jewish community’s Passover festivities Monday (Passover eve), replacing them with feelings of concern.

The leaflet demanded the city’s Jews supply a detailed list of all the property they own, or else have their citizenship revoked, face deportation and see their assets confiscated.
Donetsk, a Ukraine province with 4.3 million people – 10 percent of Ukraine’s population – and 17,000 Jews, is home to much of the country’s heavy industry, and is thus the biggest prize of the eastern regions where pro-Russian separatists have captured government buildings in the past week.
The leaflet, signed by Chairman of Donetsk’s temporary government Denis Pushilin, was distrbiuted to Jews near the Donetsk synagogue and later in other areas of the city where pro-Russians activists have declared Donetsk as an independent “people’s republic”, defying an ultimatum from Kiev to surrender. (Via Daily Caller) Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren wrote in her forthcoming book that she was “hurt” and “angry” by 2012 reporting on her fraudulent claim to Native American heritage.
“What really threw me, though, were the constant attacks from the other side,” Warren wrote in her book “A Fighting Chance.”
“I would almost persuade myself that I was starting to get the hang of full-throttle campaigning and then — bam! Out of left field, the state Republican Party, or the Brown campaign, or some blogger, would launch a rocket at me,” Warren wrote, adding, “I was stunned by the attacks.” (read more)

SOUTH HUNTINGTON, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) – Two Long Island high school students have been suspended for allegedly bringing a Confederate flag to school.
Brother Gary Cregan, principal of St. Anthony’s High School in South Huntington, said the two seniors walked in with a Confederate flag draped around their shoulders during an after-hours sporting event at the school.
As CBS 2′s Kathryn Brown reported, there is outrage and disgust on Long Island.

“The African-American students who immediately saw it really exercised heroic restraint and fortunately a teacher immediately confiscated the flag and took the students out of the gym,” Cregan said.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Gun owners and Second Amendment rights advocates gathered in downtown Buffalo’s Niagara Square Tuesday afternoon to protest the NY SAFE Act by shredding gun registration forms.
April 15, 2014 marks the deadline for when people who owned assault weapons prior to the passage of the SAFE Act were supposed to register them with New York State.
The SAFE Act redefines an “assault weapon” as almost any semi-automatic weapon with a “military-style feature,” including a telescoping stock, long guns with a pistol grip, or the ability to hold a detachable magazine.
Those types of guns can no longer be bought and sold in New York, but people who already owned them are “grandfathered” in to the law, so long as they register the weapon or have the guns permanently modified so that the “military” features are inoperable.  (read more)

I hate living in a time where we need to consider U.S. motivations in publicizing the issues of AQAP; …..and the potential for this to be a strategic media discussion.  “Hate” is a strong word, but in this example it’s not even strong enough – sorry. 
If we remove our own government’s ulterior motives from the equation, which is not easy, we are left to discuss the possibility Obama’s weakness in Syria and now Ukraine is specifically emboldening AQAP to think bigger than they normally would.
Regardless, it should be noted that historically AQAP only broadcasts their open meetings when something, some event, is already well underway. That said – it is prudent to be extra cautious and pay attention to the EU and Central Middle East (ie Egypt).  

Never forget that upon a scale of rabid religious ideology – AQAP is at the very top in a deeply held belief they are engaged in a “Holy War”.   Here’s the CNN report:
