“There was a strong presence from the Sheriff’s Office out there, but we were tapped to our limits,” said Colonel Jim Previtera with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

Even the extra deputies were overwhelmed.

Famous for his insufferable naiveté surrounding Trayvon Martin, actor Jamie Fox joins a peace walk in Miami Gardens.   The profound stupidity of the entire fiasco is exemplified in the fact that Trayvon Martin’s father, Tracy “Fruit” Martin, was specifically the one engaged with his son to discuss purchasing a handgun for him. 

…Yet there he is, in the front row, nodding and clapping away !    

The information about Trayvon’s father and guns was hidden from the general public by the media refusing to cover it.  It was discovered during a late night evidentiary proffer hearing when the contents of Trayvon’s phone were being argued as admissible or not.

(Via Truth Revolt)  This past Saturday in Miami Gardens, actor Jamie Foxx helped lead a peace walk through the streets to a local complex where a rally was held in remembrance of Trayvon Martin.  During his remarks, Foxx suggested that gun violence is mostly a problem for black Americans.

“The blood that flows through America that is from gun violence is mostly African-American, and yet you young black folk sit here mute and ya’ll don’t say nothing about it.”

Foxx is not one to shy from controversy. The actor wore a “Know Justice, Know Peace” shirt with Trayvon’s face on it to the 2013 MTV Movie Awards.

HatTip elvischupacabra – WASHINGTON COUNTY A Burleson County Grand Jury declined to indict the man who shot and killed a Burleson County Sheriff’s Deputy who was serving a search warrant in December.

Investigators were executing a search warrant at Henry McGee’s mobile home near Snook when the shooting happened.  News 3 takes a look at why deputies had targeted McGee’s home.

28-year-old Henry Magee is no longer charged in the shooting death of Burleson County Sheriff’s Deputy Adam Sowders.

SNOW SAFARI – A couple of local families decided to take their kids sledding during a school-closed snow day in Georgia.   Pack of 30+ teen thugs pelted one wife and baby with snowballs, jumped on cars, and then quickly launched into frenzied attack mode when told to stop….   Reverse the races and this would be 24/7 CNN News.

WARNER ROBINS — Two teens have been arrested in connection with an attack in front of Warner Robins High School while school was out due to snow.

Shymalik Raekwon Mitchell, 17, of Warner Robins, was arrested Wednesday and charged with aggravated assault, according to a news release from the Warner Robins Police Department.

Terrell Antonio Boyd, 17, also of Warner Robins, was charged with battery. Additional arrests may be pending as the investigation continues, the release said.

According to police, a group of about 30 people were having a snowball fight at the high school Jan. 29. Members of the group allegedly were jumping on vehicles in the parking lot, and when one of the vehicle’s owners asked them to stop, they allegedly attacked that person and three others who came to his aid. Flashing your headlights to warn other drivers of a speed trap is constitutionally protected speech, said a Missouri judge earlier this week.

You’ve all done it, right?  Say you’re driving down the road and you see this police car lying in wait to pull over some poor sucker.  So, being the nice person you are, you flash your headlights a couple of times to alert the traffic in the opposite direction.   Funny thing though….the police don’t seem to appreciate your kind gesture.   You don’t think they’re annoyed because our warning each other of these speed traps means their police departments make less money? (Sarcasm alert)

There is a lot to digest in this story.  A LOT !   

The Summary Version is:  IOWA Police execute a search warrant based on suspected credit card fraud – However, they smashed down the door in a “no-knock” raid replete with full battle armor.   Then the police tried to destroy the CCTV system which was recording their behavior.

When questioned about the ridiculously excessive “use of force” things get worse because the police justify the execution of the warrant, the extreme measures invoked, based around the principle the occupant was a legally registered gun owner and therefore represented a more significant risk to them.   <—- Think about that.

Personally I have come to the difficult determination that the police are now a danger to us.  We have as much likelihood to be victimized by paid law enforcement as we do criminals.   It has taken me several years to accept this ‘new-normal’ reality with police militarization; however, there is simply too much empirical evidence to dismiss the obvious.    This story is only atypical in that the owner had CCTV systems to document the reality.

CHICAGO – A 44-year-old man on crutches fatally shot one of two intruders who came charging at him Friday morning in the Heart of Chicago neighborhood, according to police.

Mario Viramontes, 31, was declared dead on the scene in 2000 block of West 21st Street at 9:22 a.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Police were called to the scene at 9:09 a.m. for a burglary, and when they arrived, they found that a “male offender” who had been trying to commit a burglary had been shot by the homeowner, said Police News Affairs Sgt. Antoinette Ursitti.

The 44-year-old homeowner was sleeping when his frightened 18-year-old daughter woke him up, then told him that she heard noises and thought someone was breaking into the apartment behind theirs, according to a police report. (more…)

Here’s the UPDATE:  LOS ANGELES — Eight Los Angeles police officers violated department policy when they mistakenly riddled a pickup truck with bullets, injuring two women, during a manhunt last year for cop-turned-killer Christopher Dorner, a civilian oversight board announced Tuesday.

Police Chief Charlie Beck and Alex Bustamante, inspector general for the Los Angeles Police Commission, independently recommended that the shooting be ruled out of policy, commission President Steve Soboroff said. He did not provide further details.

Beck will decide disciplinary measures for the officers, who were assigned to non-field duties during an LAPD investigation. Possible measures could include extensive retraining, suspensions or even firings. (more…)

No, not Georgia in Russia,…. Georgia as in The United States – Georgia Tech Student !  YIKES ! Nothing to see here folks…. move along, move along.  

GEORGIA – A suspected Molotov cocktail and several plastic bottles filled with gasoline and kerosene were found in the Midtown apartment of a Georgia Tech graduate student severely burned, police said Wednesday.

Saamer Akhshabi remains in Grady Memorial Hospital with third-degree burns over 90 percent of his body from the fire started in his apartment Tuesday afternoon in the 200 block of 10th Street, police said.

Late Tuesday night, it wasn’t known what caused the fire. But an FBI spokesman said the man’s burns were possibly from an incendiary device.

“At this time, we are assisting in furthering the investigation to determine how the male received the injuries and how the fire started,” Officer John Chafee with Atlanta police said.  (read more)

ALABAMA – (wkrg)  […]   Victim Mr. Carroll Jordan – A generous man to everyone who knew him—even lending his car to those who needed it.

“Tried to be a good neighbor.”

But that kindness was struck down when two men and a woman walked through his open front door, pulled him from his favorite chair, beat and stabbed him several times. One of those men was 18-year-old Robert Campbell who was arrested this morning after being found at a relative’s house. Jordan’s neighbor actually interrupted the crime.
