LAKELAND, Fla. — In a last-minute change of plans, Mitt Romney will head to visit storm-affected areas in New Orleans today, skipping a previously scheduled joint rally with running mate Paul Ryan in the battleground state of Virginia this afternoon.

A Romney aide told ABC News that Romney will “join Gov. Jindal and will meet with first responders, thank them for their work and see areas impacted by the storm in LaFitte, La.”

Indoctrination – Whoopsie Colorado University Offers Course Credits To Students Who Campaign For Obama…

(Via Daily Caller)  A public university in Colorado may have violated state law by offering students course credit if they volunteered with President Obama’s re-election campaign. Ablog post on the Adams State University website billed the opportunity as a “12 week long organizing internship for the Obama Campaign.”

Both the blog post and the course are now gone. The course was canceled due to lack of interest, according to the university. The blog post was taken down earlier this week after a conservative student blog, Campus Reform, reported on it. (more…)

The Icon VS The Ego – Clint Eastwood VS. Barack Obama

The Icon

Oscar winning actor and director, and American icon Clint Eastwood appeared at the Republican National Convention where he held an impromptu conversation with an empty chair reflecting President Obama,  saying:

“when somebody does not do the job, well, sometimes we’ve got to let them go”..

Mr. Eastwood was using the empty chair to reference the empty promises and failed policies of President Obama.

In response President Obama tweeted the following: (more…)

Tingling Irrelevence – MSNBC Circling The Intellectual Drain…

Condi Rice delivers a passionate, intelligent and articulate speech to the RNC.   In response to witnessing the articulate message, and the deconstructed Obama Administration ineptitude, Chris Matthews asks Secretary Rice about his primary agenda.

Watch how ridiculous Andrea Mitchell and Chris Matthews are as they continue carrying water for the feeble Democrat narrative:

You can almost sense the embarassment in the voice of Mitchell. The question is so embarassingly out-of-touch, that even she almost appears awkward in following Mr. Tingles instructions. Almost. (more…)

Dangerously Stupid – Rich People Need To Be “Destroyed” – Calls For A Marxist Utopia Like They Have In Somalia And Afghanistan?

Must watch video.   The only question the videographer missed was asking the Obamabot to define “Rich” and what standard should be applied for progressive considerations.

Whoopsie – The Media’s Romney Hate Accidentally Caught on Tape…. They React With the Usual Apologetic Firing….

(Via NewsBusters)  During live coverage of the Republican National Convention here in Tampa, Yahoo News Washington bureau chief David  Chalian provided the perfect example of the pervasive anti-Republican bias  Mitt Romney faces in his bid to unseat President Barack Obama.

David ChalianIn video broadcast Monday night by ABC and Yahoo over the Internet, David Chalian  can be heard claiming that GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney and his wife  Ann are unconcerned about the fate of residents of the New Orleans area who are  currently being hit by Hurricane Isaac.

“They aren’t concerned at all, they are happy to  have a party when black people drown.”

The Angst of the Shaky McMerkins Convention

Hey, wha the….  Bounce Houses?…. Duuuude.

“I want to make sure that when the Republican Party loses, terribly to, in my opinion, the worst president in history, I want [them to know] it’s because they systematically shut out the most intelligent, most youthful and active voting bloc in American history,” said Ron Paul voter Mike Timoney.

(Via BigFurHat @iOTW)  All throughout the Paulbot invasion, armed only with their rudeness and delusions, I tried to tell the hot pocket brigade that the huge flaw in their system gaming was that the majority of the voters would have stomped them into small piles of Reynold’s Wrap if the popular votes were dismissed and the nomination was simply handed to Shaky McMerkins. Update Fast and Furious – DOJ Inspector General’s Report. Local AFT To Blame For Fast And Furious. Local ATF Says Higher Ups Knew

(CBS News) The Inspector General (IG) draft report on Fast and Furious heaps blame on the Phoenix-based staff of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) according to those familiar with the document.

A year and a half in the making, the report examines Operation Fast and Furious, which began under the Obama administration, and the smaller Operation Wide Receiver which started under the Bush administration and was prosecuted under the Obama administration. In both cases, ATF agents allowed guns to “walk” or fall into the hands of Mexican drug cartels. The idea was to see where the guns ended up and catch a “big fish” of a cartel.

The IG’s report is expected to be publicly released in the next few weeks. (more…)
