Hamas Rockets Hit Two Israeli Schools – Thankfully School Was Cancelled….

ISRAEL – A rocket fired from Gaza has hit a school in Ashkelon. This is the second time on Monday that a school in the city was hit by a Hamas missile. No injuries were reported, though the school building was damaged. […]

Rocket that hit a school in Ashkelon caves the roof in on a classroom on the top floor. Footage from Channel 2 shows the extent of the damage. The classroom is wrecked, with rubble and dust strewn across the ruined desks and chairs. The two or three-foot diameter hole in the crumbled ceiling exposes the jagged rebar of the reinforced concrete.
No injuries are reported. School in Ashkelon has been canceled for several days.

On the sixth day of Operation Pillar of Defense, Israel upped the frequency of its airstrikes at the Gaza Strip, targeting smuggling tunnels, rocket launching squads, weapons and ammunition caches (including one located under Gaza City’s main soccer stadium), and terror groups’ field commanders. The death toll in Gaza stands at 84, roughly two thirds of which are combatants. (more…)

MSNBC Host To Israeli Ambassador: Hamas Rockets “Rarely Do Damage” … You Know, Except For That One That Killed 3 Israelis Last Week

Do you need a better example of how the Media-Left view Israel.  I mean, c’mon it’s only a few hundred rockets falling upon you….  you don’t have to get all defensive about it.  Sheeesh.

Mara Schiavocampo: “Living under the threat of rocket attack is certainly a psychological trauma. But what would you say to those who argue that the rockets are essentially very ineffective, they rarely do damage and that the response from Israelis is disproportional to the threat they’re under.”

Michael Oren: “Imagine if one rocket had fallen in the United States and not now since the year 2009, our last operation, we’ve had something in the vicinity of 8,000 rockets fall on the State of Israel. That’s more than twice all of the German rockets that fell on London during World War II. And you saw how the British and Americans reacted to that.”

“Gaza will not remain alone as it was,” adding that the aggressors “know they will pay a heavy price is they continue their aggression.”

He further said that the post-Mubarak Egypt was completely different and that all Egyptians were determined to stop the offensive on the Gaza Strip.

Iron Dome In Action – Remarkable Video Shows Terror Rockets From Gaza Being Intercepted By Israel Defense Force

Video from last night in Israel:

Meanwhile the “western media” flock out of Tel-Aviv to Gaza City.  Why?   Why to cover the humanitarian crisis in Gaza of course.   Also, because the Israeli Defense Force are highly accurate with their retaliatory strikes, and do not randomly fire missiles into non military targets, it’s actually safer there. Cloudy With A Chance Of Missiles…..

A MESSAGE FROM SOUTHERN ISRAEL – […] Our kids are showing signs of severe stress. Our spouses have stopped eating when there is news about an attack in Gaza. Our blood pressure goes up as we count off the locations where missiles have fallen – sometimes when we were only a few hundred meters away. The sound of a distant car alarm sets off a crying jag that simply has no real justification other than that burning feeling of not being able to take it anymore.

The unified, resilient front is still there, but it is being propped up by a million people living under threat of missile fire, each of us forced to confront our own individual fears. My own response has already become physical – clearly a manifestation of PTSD. And I am not alone. All my rational understanding of the futility of war has simply become raw, unpolished fear that comes over me when I hear that piercing sound of the siren. (more…)
