Again, as predicted.    Here’s the way the entire face saving fiasco is being spun by the Palestinians.  Fatah spokesman Ahmad Assaf told reporters the Palestinian Authority “blackmailed” Israel to bring about the release of dozens of prisoners.

Palestinian Media – The Palestinian Authority’s only reason for agreeing to and continuing the peace negotiations with Israel is to bring about the release of prisoners, Fatah’s spokesman Ahmad Assaf has indicated. Stating that the PA “blackmailed” Israel to release the prisoners, Assaf explained that by virtue of the PA’s membership in the UN, the PA is able to threaten Israel with taking it to the International Criminal Court. Assaf maintains that to prevent the PA from doing so, Israel agreed to release 104 prisoners, most of them serving life sentences for murder.

Senior PA leader Nabil Shaath explained already in November and again in December 2013, that the reason the PA has not “stopped negotiations,” is because the PA wants to first fulfill its goal of having all the prisoners Israel arrested before the Oslo Accords released. (more…)

ISRAEL – US Secretary of State John Kerry left Israel Tuesday morning as details emerged of a possible deal that would lead to the release of imprisoned Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard by passover and would ensure the continuation of peace talks into 2015.
Kerry will return to the Middle East on Wednesday to meet Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah, State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said.
Officials included in the talks said that the emerging deal contains the following elements:
1) Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard will be released before the first Passover seder on Monday April 14.
2) The negotiations will continue into 2015, during which time the Palestinians will commit themselves not to engage in diplomatic warfare against Israel by going to international organizations for recognition.

By now most people might have heard about an Israeli request for the release of Jonathan Pollard. Here we present the actual substance behind what’s really going on.
President Obama and Secretary Kerry have been trying for months to establish their own legacy position by leveraging a peace agreement between Palestinian Authority President, Mahmoud Abbas, and Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.
Specifically because Kerry/Obama are less pro-Israel than any other administration – Abbas (Palestinian Authority) has felt empowered, and doubled down on his position that Netanyahu (Israel) must make *ALL* the substantive concessions for peace.

Disclaimer:   Recent publications within the blogosphere paint a rather remarkable possibility.   HOWEVER, what I’m outlining here is the connection of them, and NOT the validation of them.

This latest web-reporting development goes in the direction of that “false flag”.
It begins with the discovery of a picture uploaded to the web reported with the following headline:  “IBM ENGINEER TAKEN FROM HIJACKED FLIGHT 370 GOT A SELFIE OUT TO THE INTERNET”   The article is HERE.
In essence the article says that MH-370 Passenger Philip Wood was able to post a picture to the web on March 18th 2014 along with the text:

I have been held hostage by unknown military personal after my flight was hijacked (blindfolded). I work for IBM and I have managed to hide my cellphone in my ass during the hijack. I have been separated from the rest of the passengers and I am in a cell. My name is Philip Wood. I think I have been drugged as well and cannot think clearly.

(Via YNet) Former President Jimmy Carter said Monday that he doesn’t support the Palestinian-led “boycott, divest, sanction” campaign against Israel but said products made in Palestinian territories should be clearly labeled so buyers can make a choice about them.
Carter told The Associated Press in an interview that he and the other retired senior leaders known as the “Elders” recently discussed the economic pressure campaign against Israeli presence in the West Bank. The Elders group was formed by Nelson Mandela in 2007, and includes senior and retired leaders who work together on peace-building and humanitarian initiatives.
“We decided not to publicly endorse any kind of embargo, or so forth, against Israeli invasion, or occupying troops in Palestine,” Carter said.

Set to increase his influence exponentially Russia’s Vladimir Putin must be smiling broadly.   
Already in strong geo-political, economic and diplomatic alignment with Iran.   Now helping Egypt in their freedom fight to rid themselves of the Muslim Brotherhood and expanding military bases in Alexandria; and essentially set up to declare victory in Syria.  Putin has become the anti-Obama.
In essence you have Obama’s only Middle East Geo-Political ally as Turkey’s *Erdogan.    Jordan is trying to stay in the middle, Syria, Iran, and now Egypt aligning with Russia albeit for different reasons.
TEL AVIV – Arab countries in the Middle East widely expect Syrian President  Bashar al-Assad to win the rebel-led insurgency that has been targeting his  regime for the last three years, thereby strengthening Russia’s presence in the  region.
The anticipated victory will further solidify the position of the large  Russian Navy fleet docked at Syria’s Tartus port. That position is more  strategic now that Russia has seized the Ukrainian naval headquarters located in  Sevastopol, where Moscow stationed its Black Sea Fleet.
Control of both the Tartus and Sevastopol ports provides Russia, under  President Vladimir Putin, with open access to the Mediterranean, the Indian  Ocean and beyond for both military and energy needs. (more…)

WASHINGTON – Iran is constructing a simulated American nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, and according to US intelligence sources, Iran’s aim is to blow it up and later claim it has sunk an American aircraft carrier.

According to American sources, the sinking of the ship is designed for propaganda purposes, in case the nuclear program negotiations fail and the military tensions between Washington and Tehran intensify.
The New York Times reported Friday that American satellite images initially revealed the vessel in the Persian Gulf last summer, and its contours resemble the US Nimitz-class carrier. Mock planes were spotted on deck, which is about two-thirds the length of a typical Nimitz, and has no nuclear propulsion system.
US intelligence sources claimed, however, that Iran is not capable of building an aircraft carrier. “Based on our observations, this is not a functioning aircraft carrier; it’s a large barge built to look like an aircraft carrier,” said Jason Salata, a spokesman for the Navy’s Fifth Fleet in Bahrain, across the Persian Gulf from Iran. Our working theory is essentially HERE.  While it represents a rough outline to explain the Malaysian Government reaction – it’s supported by more recent confirmations including: the passports of the two Iranian Nationals were used the year before to obtain Chinese entry visa’s in June of 2013.   In addition, a commercial flight fitting the profile of a Boeing 777  was potentially spotted flying through the Southern Maldives; just south of heavy shipping lanes which one would seek to avoid if flying dark.

Regardless of whether the Northern Route (through Western China/Himalayas) or Southern Route (around India – Maldives report) was taken, the destination becomes the real question.
Detection, or more aptly the ability to escape detection, is really a no-brainer.   No-one who actually has experience in intelligence or military disputes the ability to fly undetected into an autonomous region – “if you know what you are doing”.    The U.S. Military does it all the time with surveillance flights and drones.
If the theory of Islamists taking the flight is maintained – the supporting state/nation then becomes the larger issue.    Iran or Pakistan ? Both are within flight distance, and both have ideological elements within them which would support such an agenda.

This is something the TV media are not reporting to the extent it is an explosive development.  

We know from media reports the two stolen passports were used by two Iranian Nationals.    We have previously been told the passports were used to try and gain entry to Europe their final destination.   However, if this report from the LA Times is accurate EVERYTHING changes and actually aligns with our theory of why the plane was taken.

BEIJING — Stolen passports carried by two Iranian men to board missing Malaysia  Airlines Flight 370 were used last year by two people applying for visas to  work as entertainers in China, according to the head of an entertainment  company. (more…)

Weekly Standard – On the eve of the Netanyahu visit to Washington, President Obama gave a lengthy interview to Jeffrey Goldberg that shows a chief executive who has learned next to nothing about the world in his five years in office.

First, kudos to Goldberg: he pressed Obama repeatedly, challenging vague formulations and seeking clarity. Goldberg pushed Obama hard, especially on Iran and Syria.

Obama isn’t good off the cuff, especially when challenged; he is far better with a prepared speech. And what emerged is an awful portrait of the president and his conception of the world.
