After 214,187 votes were counted, Louisville businessman Matt Bevin held an 83-vote lead over Commissioner of Agriculture James Comer, but Comer said late Tuesday night that he owed it to his supporters to ask for a recanvass.
According to the secretary of state’s office, a recanvass will be conducted at 9 a.m. May 28. In a recanvass, printed vote totals are checked against figures sent to the state Board of Elections. No individual votes are actually recounted. (more…)

Scott Walker Today – Face The Nation…

*Side Note* – It’s more than a little annoying, albeit profoundly predictable, that MSM leftist punditry ask the question “what are your foreign policy credentials?”
I would hope that sooner or later a direct and well spoken candidate would specifically say:

“Credentials?  First, I’m an American; I grew up an American; I learned, live, eat, breathe, and love America; I’m proud of America; I believe America is the greatest free societal and free-market construct ever created in the history of all modern nations….
…..and as a direct consequence I’m an expert in evaluating all foreign influences against what is in the best interests of freedom generally, and our American best interests specifically’….
…..perhaps you have a question about a substantive foreign issue I might be able to answer for you from this perspective?” !!

There would be splodey heads.

Wolverine Senator Tom Cotton Responds To Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif…

tom cottonArkansas Senator Tom Cotton was the only full frontal conservative candidate in 2014 that never backed down from his principles or advocacy.   Despite the pressure from the professional establishment to moderate himself to the middle, Cotton choose to remain true to his beliefs.
He also won his election by the widest margin of any candidate in the Senate races.
Today, another example of his wolverine blood.
This guy is fierce.
Senator Cotton says Iran should not be trusted, and any sanctions relief must first be preceded by a change in behavior and verification.  Iran does not like that idea:

If we have an agreement on the 30th of June, within a few days after that, there will be a resolution before the UN Security Council under Article 41 of Chapter 7 which will be mandatory for all member states whether Senator Cotton likes it or not.
~ Javad Zarif (Iranian Foreign Minister)

jockey_offering_million_in_prizes_if_tim_tebow_wins_super_bowl(USA Today) Tim Tebow’s contract with the Philadelphia Eagles includes no guarantees.
It’s a typical, one-year, $660,000 deal that comes without a signing bonus or other guaranteed money, according to contract details obtained by USA TODAY Sports on Wednesday.
The $660,000 base salary — due in weekly installments of $38,824 during the regular season as long as Tebow’s on the team — is the minimum for a three-year veteran, which he is.
If Tebow is cut before the season, the Eagles owe him nothing other than standard stipends, including $195 for each day participating in offseason workouts and $1,800 a week in training camp. (read more)

It Is Written….

…That he shall arrive just before a darkest of shadows fully closed around the hopes of men; … he will look upon the despair and barren landscape and with him shall follow a brilliant light;… and those who had suffered greatly will find themselves bathed in renewed hope…

never give upAn amazing and inspirational story of hope, against all odds Danielle Josey Davis had been married only seven months when a devastating motorcycle accident left her husband on life support and in a coma.
