“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations has been 200 years. Great nations rise and fall. The people go from bondage to spiritual truth, to great courage, from courage to liberty, from liberty to abundance, from abundance to selfishness, from selfishness to complacency, from complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependence, from dependence back again to bondage.” -Alexander Tytler

BREAKING NEWS…. more to follow as soon as assembled. However, if anyone was watching Fox News with Greta Van Sustern tonight, you just saw an explosive interview with former Col Bing West. West outlines, once again, with specific certainty, that it is impossible for President Obama to have done what he has said he did. If President Obama said to Secretary Panetta and Chairman of Joint Chiefs Dempsey, “do whatever you need to in order to protect our people”, then an execute order would exist from Panetta / Dempsey to Africom General Ham to take action.
General Ham has publicly stated he received no such Order, or even a “request”, he has recently been replaced as Africom commander, and shockingly is now retiring: (more…)
WEST PALM BITCH – A group of sign-waving campaign ralliers comprised of both Democrat and Republican supporters outside an Aventura, Florida polling location witnessed Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz get involved in a heated altercation with an Aventura policeman after she apparently took issue with his request to not engage in campaign activities in the street which would hold up oncoming traffic.
She listened to the police officer’s respectful and reasonable request, but Wasserman Schultz continued to argue with the police officer, according to several people who witnessed the incident. (more…)
… but if you happen to be the Personal Representative of The United States President; and you happen to be under attack by terrorists in Libya for over 7 hours, well then – Obama: “deal with it, you’re on your own”……

Speaking at a photo opportunity at the American Red Cross on Tuesday, President Obama stated that in America, “we leave nobody behind.” This remark is seen as clumsy and perhaps insensitive considering the revelations that requests to assist two Navy SEALs trapped on the roof of the American consulate in Benghazi were denied, thus abandoning the heroic Americans to die at the hands of Al Qaeda.
What…, no “bumps in the ‘Sandy‘ road”?…. You mean, No, “non optimal” ‘Sandy‘ deaths? (more…)
Progs and the media prog story sellers are looking for any opportunity to disparage Mitt Romney…. Hence they attack Romney for messaging and raising support for Sandy victims. Progs are hateful jerks.
(WaPo) Ohio Democratic Party Chairman Chris Redfern on Tuesday accused Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney of politicizing Hurricane Sandy with a Dayton event that was billed as storm relief but also had characteristics of a campaign rally.

Romney spoke only briefly at the event, to encourage donations to storm victims, and volunteers collected canned goods to send to those suffering in New Jersey. But Romney’s biographical video, routinely played at campaign rallies, was used to introduce the event, as was his routine rally music.
“I think Gov. Romney ought to be focused on things he could do and say on behalf of the victims, rather than going to Dayton Ohio — the most important swing state in the country — and taking advantage of a tragedy,” Redfern said. (more…)
President Obama may have suspended his campaign rallies due to Hurricane Sandy, but he managed to squeeze in his campaign slogan — intentionally or not — during a briefing Tuesday with federal emergency officials.
“The president made clear that he expects his team to remain focused as the immediate impacts of Hurricane Sandy continue and lean forward in their response,” the White House said in a statement about Mr. Obama’s video-teleconference that he conducted from the White House Situation Room. “Forward” is the slogan of his re-election campaign.
We are beginning to see moderate to marginal media re-positioning on the presidential race, polling, and electoral map predictions. This is a huge, albeit subtle, shift for the media – but signals a MASSIVE pending defeat for President Obama.
The disparity between the media propaganda, and the actual in-real-life expected results has now reached “wisconsin recall levels” on the broader national stage of predictive politics. In Wisconsin 2011 the media was selling the story of a resounding Scott Walker defeat to be expected, they sold it as an all but certainty. The media maintained this guise up to, and including on, election day when they swore it was going to be a nailbiter but Walker looked to be a dead man walking.
The polls closed at 9pm EST – The election was called for Scott Walker by 9:40pm, and he delivered his victory speech within the hour. Wasn’t even close. It was a media ruse.
Same is going on today with the Presidential race. But the media needs a sniglet of wiggle room to back away lest they be identified for all time to come as the propaganda mouthpieces that they are. (more…)
Seriously? That’s the plan, or, well, the latest version, of, um, well, the newest plan? A “Secretary of Business”.
THE HILL – President Obama says he would like to establish a “secretary of Business” if he wins a second term. In an interview with MSNBC, the president said he wants to consolidate a number of business and trade-related agencies, creating a “one-stop shop” for oversight. (more)
Yeah, right. Because, well, the Energy Dept has done such a great job of making us “energy independent”; and the Education Department has done such a great job of raising education standards and controlling costs; and the “Commerce Department” has done such a great job of eliminating market barriers and trade restrictions; and the “Regulatory Czar” (Cass Sunstein) has done such a great job of eliminating burdensome regulatory restrictions and red-tape.
[See: squiggley lightbulbs that don’t light, washing machines that don’t wash, electric cars that catch fire, and perhaps worst of all toilets that don’t flush, etc]
Really, that’s what you’ve got. Another plan for MORE and BIGGER government.? (more…)
