(Trevor Loudon’s NewZeal Blog) The Washington Post has been greatly embarrassed by the fact that its local editor Vernon Loeb was the ghost writer for the David Petraeus biography by Paula Broadwell and admits he was “clueless” about their sexual relationship. The paper is now making up for lost time.

On Thursday, the Post published an article that debunked claims by Petraeus, who was Obama’s CIA director, that he had never given Broadwell classified information. The story by Carol D. Leonnig, Sari Horwitz and Anne Gearan reveals that Petraeus aides and other high-ranking military officials were often tasked by Petraeus and other top commanders to provide sensitive military documents to Broadwell. I have no idea how much credibility to put to this “rumor” per se’.   But you never know, with this administration it would NOT surprise me…. or it could be a “trial balloon”.

This is why Egypt, despite being under a new Islamist government, is not going to risk war with Israel. Nor are the other Arab states. They will make fiery speeches and offer humanitarian assistance. Everyone now agrees that on Sept 14th the entire intelligence community gave the White House specifics about what was the impetus of the Benghazi attack, al-Qaeda.   Now everyone agrees that on Sept 16th the same White House sent UN Ambassador Susan Rice to talk to the American people specifically removing the Truth and instead blaming a U-Tube video.  In essence, propaganda.

Michael Goodwin at FOX News – Until Friday, there were two possible explanations for why the White House failed to immediately call the Benghazi attack an act of terrorism. One was incompetence, the other was worse.

Now there is only one, and it is the worse one. Based on the persuasive testimony of ex-CIA boss David Petraeus, it is clear the Obama administration made a deliberate decision to mislead Congress and the American people. (more…)

Yes, I actually watched live at 3am because I was essentially viewing this presidential speech in the similar vein of the 2009 Cairo speech.   What would Obama project to the world as his goals moving forward.    Having said that, it indeed is highly reflective of what we can expect both here and projected abroad for the next four years.

Today we wish the best of days to our own “ytz4mee”… blogger, warrior, and mighty voice for conservative principles. Yatz is a woman on the go, and you never know from where she may be popping in from time to time as she swings by and grabs a limb on the Tree. She has inexhaustible energy,  and passionately gives voice to the principles we all hold so near and dear. Today, we hope she’ll pause in the pursuits of  battle,  settle down under the Tree,  and join us for some coffee, a bit of peameal bacon, and a generous helping of cake as we join in celebration of her birthday. (I’ll bet someone might even stop in with a Silver Bullet or two and a bottle of Jack a little later in the day, just to keep things going.)

Update Via Twitchy – Twitchy reported earlier today on Rep. Allen West’s ongoing recount battle in Florida, and tonight brought the discovery of a box of 304 ballots that hadn’t been read.

FLORIDA – The St. Lucie County Canvassing Board has ordered the retabulation of all early votes in the highly contested congressional race between Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) and Democrat Patrick Murphy, according to Jeffrey Scott Shapiro, a volunteer lawyer for the West campaign. The board voted 2-1 in favor of recounting the votes.

“This retabulation of all early votes as the Supervisor of Elections originally planned is a victory for democracy,” Shapiro told TheBlaze. “This restores some level of trust and public confidence in the system…it was the right thing to do.” (more…)

The consistent lies and outright scheming from the Obama White House are about to reach sunlight.  Various intelligence reporters are now pointing out that Petraeus is stating the Susan Rice “talking points” about Benghazi DID NOT come from his intelligence office gathering, they came from the White House.  (Obama screwed up yesterday when he openly took ownership of them – his handlers are freaking)
