UPDATE: Chelsea, who was spotted by the New York Daily News, was to first member of Clinton’s family to be seen publicly at the hospital. There is no word on the whereabouts of her husband, former President Bill Clinton.

Chelsea, 32, a special correspondent for NBC News, looked upset as she left the hospital – cell phone in hand. She ignored questions from a reporter and went back inside. (link)

Earlier – Even NBC’s Robert Bazell ain’t buyin’ the story:  “It’s not exactly clear what is happening with Secretary Clinton’s health,” NBC News chief science and health correspondent Robert Bazell said.

“All we have is a statement from her office. The hospital isn’t saying anything and the statement from her [office] says that she had this blood clot that stemmed from the concussion and she’s being treated with blood-thinning drugs,” Bazell continued. “The problem is that usually when blood clots come from concussions, they can’t be treated with blood [thinners.] So either it’s not really related to the concussion and she’s got a blood clot in her leg or something, or there’s something else going on that we’re not being told. And right now, we’re just sort of seeking that clarification and hoping for the best as she’s being observed.”

Following on the heels of the Thanksgiving Holiday Fire (atop Secretary Hillary Clintons office at the State Dept Building in DC) she fell ill with a stomach virus.    Following the Stomach virus, and because of the stomach virus, Hillary fainted and hit her head.    Following the fall, and because of the hit on her head, she suffered a concussion.

Originally we wrote this post in March 2012 in response to the continuing crisis that surrounds this administration, and consequently our nation, on a daily basis.

This is, in a larger sense, all purpose driven.

People often talk about and reference Rahm Emanuel’s famous quote: “never let a good crisis go to waste“;   But fewer people actually connect those words to the ideology behind them.

Fabian Socialists became modern Progressives, and comfort in crisis is essential to their goals. Crisis becomes the “new normal” in the world of anyone, or any nation, as they suffer the impact from association with progressives.

When you understand it, you understand what Candidate Obama meant when he proclaimed: “we are 3 days away from the fundamental transformation of America“!

Yesterday, on Meet The Press, President Obama used the word “fundamental” again.

“Something fundamental in America has to change,” said Obama, who visited on December 16 with families of victims of the Newtown, Connecticut, school shootings.  (link)

WASHINGTON DC – President Obama turned up on NBC’s “Meet the Press” for the first time since the passage of ObamaCare, and gave exactly the performance that every veteran Obama-watcher would have expected: a bitter, intransigent partisan claiming to be the only non-partisan, non-ideological participant in the “fiscal cliff” drama. “I’m not driven by some ideological agenda – I’m a pretty practical guy,” he explicitly stated, offering his past four years in office as evidence.

It’s too bad “Meet the Press” doesn’t have a laugh track. (more…)

“I don’t know what his (Obama) biggest accomplishment would be.  I really don’t know that.  My biggest disappointment is the disunity.  President Obama ran saying “I’m going to be a unifier” and our nation is more divided than ever before.  I think our nation is more divided than any time since the Civil War.  That’s disheartening.”

Regarding Fiscal Cliff Negotiations …Mr. Obama repeatedly lost patience with the speaker as negotiations faltered. In an Oval Office meeting last week, he told Mr. Boehner that if the sides didn’t reach agreement, he would use his inaugural address and his State of the Union speech to tell the country the Republicans were at fault.

At one point, according to notes taken by a participant, Mr. Boehner told the president, “I put $800 billion [in tax revenue] on the table. What do I get for that?”

“You get nothing,” the president said. “I get that for free.”  (article)

Tim Scott is a good addition to the Senate.  He has a strong principled background and will be a great all around fiscal conservative.   Good News.

SOUTH CAROLINA – South Carolina Rep. Tim Scott, R-S.C., has been appointed by Republican Gov. Nikki Haley to the Senate seat now held by Republican Jim DeMint. DeMint is leaving the Senate at the end of the year to run the conservative think tank The Heritage Foundation.

“He is the right person,” she said. She pointed to his strong relationship with the business community and the “courage” he showed during a fight with the unions and the National Labor Relations Board during a recent effort to move Boeing factories to the state.

Scott will be the first African-American Republican in the Senate since former Sen. Edward Brooke, R-Mass., lost his bid for reelection in 1978. The 47-year-old, who won a second House term last month, was the first black Republican to represent South Carolina in the House in more than a century. (more…)

CALIFORNIA – California State Controller John Chiang has announced that total state revenue for the month of November 2012 fell $806.8 million, or 10.8%, below budget.

Democrats thought they could hammer “the rich” by convincing voters to pass Proposition 30 to create the highest state income tax in the nation. But it now appears that high income earners have already “voted with their feet” by moving themselves and their businesses out of state, resulting in over $1 billion shortfall in corporate and income taxes last month and the beginning of a new financial crisis. Tom Vilsack is a member of President Obama’s Cabinet and reflects the typical attitude of those who surround “THIS” President.    But they may want to pause before disparaging the kitchen staff (rural America = bitter clingers), because that very same kitchen crew might just say “enough” and quit.   Then, how you gonna eat?

WASHINGTON (AP) — Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack has some harsh words for rural America: It’s “becoming less and less relevant,” he says.

A month after an election that Democrats won even as rural parts of the country voted overwhelmingly Republican, the former Democratic governor of Iowa told farm belt leaders this past week that he’s frustrated with their internecine squabbles and says they need to be more strategic in picking their political fights.

“It’s time for us to have an adult conversation with folks in rural America,” Vilsack said in a speech at a forum sponsored by the Farm Journal. “It’s time for a different thought process here, in my view.” (more…)

DETROIT – Speaking before the Detroit City Council on Tuesday, Councilwoman JoAnn Watson said it’s time President Barack Obama pays back the ailing city for putting him back in office by giving them a government bailout.

“Our people in an overwhelming way supported the re-election of this president and there ought to be a quid pro quo and you ought to exercise leadership on that,” said Watson, according to FOX 2 Detroit. “Of course, not just that, but why not?” (more…)

WASHINGTON DC – President Barack Obama is considering nominating Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief of Vogue, to be either his next ambassador to the U.K. or France, as he looks to reward his biggest fundraisers with embassies that never seem out of fashion, according to two people familiar with the matter.

Wintour, 63, may have some competition for the London posting, with Matthew Barzun, the finance chairman of Obama’s presidential campaign, also interested in the job, officially known as ambassador to the Court of St. James’s, said the people, who requested anonymity. (more…)
