Frightening report on the same day Al-Qaida elements within Afghanistan attack International Hotel(IPT) — Extremists from Somalia’s Al-Qaida-linked al-Shabaab have evacuated more than 70 troops to Yemen, according to All Headline News. The effort is also a reinforcement of al-Qaida gains in Yemen, where discontent has paralyzed the central government and given the group the opportunity to form a small Islamic Emirate in the country’s south. Boehner Says Obama’s Answers On Libya Unacceptable, May Move To Cut Off Funding For Operation…

I’m so angry I could just spit.  Just begin the process of cutting off funding already !!  Make Obama take to the airwaves and explain himself, force the White House to explain how this is not a war.  The American People are smart enough to see through this fabricated non-sense.   But they are not reading “letters”.. ..How can the President actually claim the military action is not “hostile”?  He cannot.  Yet he is.  Why?  Because congress is letting him.   Force Obama to explain himself, force him to reveal his dictatorial agenda.  Period.   Boehner needs to put his face in front of every camera 24/7 demanding the President withdraw troops, or immediately come before congress and request permission.    (more…)

Justification ? Obama Obfuscates War Powers Act With Semantics….

This is the Obama Administration’s attempt at a justifiable reason to avoid seeking congressional approval for the War in Libya. This is profoundly important issue to engage in consideration and discussion.... WASHINGTON — The White House, pushing hard against criticism in Congress over the deepening air war in Libya, asserted Wednesday that President Obama had the authority to continue the military campaign without Congressional approval because American involvement fell short of full-blown hostilities. In a 38-page report sent to lawmakers describing and defending the NATO-led operation, the White House said the mission was prying loose Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi’s grip on power.

Reconcile This……

In March Obama Cites War Powers Resolution In Letter To Congress Announcing Libya Strikes. In a March 21 letter to Congress explaining why he ordered military strikes against Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi, President Barack Obama noted that he was writing the letter so as to be compliant with the War Powers Act. Now, Obama claims that the Act does not apply to U.S. military action in Libya. (more…)

Time-Limited, Scope-Limited, Kinetic Military Action In Libya…?

Responsibility to protect?  Yeah, right…..  (The Atlantic) — Six in 10 Americans don’t think the U.S. should be involved in Libya, according to a new CBS News poll. It found that only 30 percent of Americans think we’re doing the right thing by intervening militarily in that country. That includes majorities of Republicans, Democrats and independents.  As a point of comparison, 51 percent of Americans and a majority of Republicans think we’re “doing the right thing” in Afghanistan. The Libya numbers are bad news for the man in the Oval Office. (more…)

‘Think Progress’ Group is Detached from Egyptian Reality …..

Usually I try to refrain from passing severe judgements against an entire group.  With the possible exception of MoveOn.org there are generally people within any group that possess some semblance of capacity for logical thought, and even within MoveOn followers there are some who recognize the rabid collective echo-chamber of supporting Big Labor at every possible opportunity.   However, this recent rebuttal article by Think Progress in support of The Muslim Brotherhood is bizarre to say the least.   Here is the story: (more…)

We’re Going To Turn Yemen Into A Blazing Hell on Earth……

Yemen is going to end up in the hands of al-Qaeda Arabian Peninsular, it is not a matter of “if”, it is a matter of “when”, so while the Yemeni President Saleh is in Saudi Arabia rehabilitating from assassination attempt (certain never to return) chaos reigns.   Into this “chaos” enter the CIA and U.S. military with a prime opportunity to engage in drone and air attacks against al-Qaeda operatives without regard for collateral damage.  Basically unlimited ability to wage air war under the guise of supporting the regime.  We are bringing hell from the sky.  WASHINGTON — The Obama administration has intensified the American covert war in Yemen, exploiting a growing power vacuum in the country to strike at militant suspects with armed drones and fighter jets, according to American officials. White House Says It Won’t Even Bother Responding To Bipartisan House Resolution Asking For Answers On War In Libya…

WASHINGTON (AP) — The White House brushed off congressional demands for a detailed report outlining U.S. objectives in Libya, a move likely to stoke further anger on Capitol Hill over President Barack Obama’s decision not to seek lawmakers’ consent for the military operation. White House spokesman Jay Carney said Monday that administration officials were already answering questions about Libya in briefings on Capitol Hill. A House resolution calling on Obama to provide more detailed answers was “unhelpful,” Carney added, suggesting that the administration has no plans to formally respond within the 14-day window outlined in the measure. Libyan Rebels attack Algeria……..

Yet we support these rogues and NATO is fighting on their behalf ?  (ANSAmed) – ROME, JUNE 6 – For the first time, the Algerian Army fought Libyan rebels who – taking advantage of a football match between Algerian and Morocco on Saturday – infiltrated into Algerian territory in order to try to take control of the Libya-Algeria border checkpoint in the area of Debdab in the extreme southeast of the country. Clashes between the Algerian Army and Libyan rebels lasted until yesterday morning, according to Algerian daily Al Nahar Al Jadeed. The Libyan rebels, underlined the daily, tried to surprise the pro-Gaddafi forces that control the border checkpoint on the Libyan side by launching an attack from Algerian territory. The attempt by the Libyan rebels, explained the daily, failed thanks to the fast reaction of the Algerian Army, which forced the Libyan rebels to retreat after violent clashes. (ANSAmed).

Yemen’s VP Takes Power, As President Saleh Is Evacuated To Saudi Arabia

(report via BigPeace) It turns out that the injuries inflicted on Yemen’s president Ali Abdullah Saleh were far more serious than anyone was admitting on Friday.
