Alan Dershowitz Discusses "Calm Before The Storm"…

At times Alan Dershowitz can express insufferable political opinions that can make blood pressure cuffs explode.  At other times, on the libertarian side of liberty principles, Dershowitz becomes an ally against the insufferable overbearing administrative state. He’s an odd duck, but carries a quacker worth hearing.
In this segment, the subject matter is well outlined. However, that said, along with every single person in media and punditry, Dershowitz is not connecting President Trump action to the economics of the Trump foreign policy doctrine.

.
If people would spend more time studying DJT they’d see the foreign policy strategy of President Trump clear as day. POTUS Trump surrounds himself, optically and vocally, with the overwhelming appearance of military solution providers. This is not accidental; it is entirely by design.

President Trump Signs Proclamation for: "National Manufacturing Day"…

During a White House event earlier today President Donald Trump signed a Presidential proclamation designating October 6th as “National Manufacturing Day”.
One of President Trump’s top economic priorities, enmeshed in the America-First economic agenda, is to bring back U.S. manufacturing excellence as a priority to the foundation of a balanced American economy.

.
REMARKS BY PRESIDENT TRUMP – AT SIGNING OF NATIONAL MANUFACTURING DAY PROCLAMATION – Oval Office – 2:05 P.M. EDT
THE PRESIDENT: Thank you very much. It’s an honor to be here with the great men and women of American manufacturing. In a few moments, I will sign a presidential proclamation declaring today National Manufacturing Day.

Unmasking Continues – U.S. CoC Takes Direct Adversarial Position To U.S. NAFTA Trade Framework….

CTH has called out the anti-American economic positions of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for many years.  The U.S. CoC is the largest DC lobbying group for multinational corporations and multinational financial interests.  The CoC is at the very epicenter of the financial constructs that support the Washington DC UniParty.
When President Trump won the election in 2016 it was a thundershock to decades of work by the U.S. CoC to undermine economic nationalism in favor of global corporate interests. Within all of the economic, trade and policy discussion which subsequently flowed from the White House the CoC did not have a seat at the table.  Trump’s economic policy is adverse to the interests of The Big Club.
Today the CoC is taking a direct and adversarial position to oppose the White House and the intended framework (Trump, Ross, Lighthizer) for a renegotiated NAFTA deal.  The U.S. CoC is aligning with Canada and Mexico against the interests of the United States.
While predicted, it is a little surreal to see the U.S. CoC drop their mask so openly:

WASHINGTON DC – The Chamber of Commerce warned Friday that the Trump administration appears to be on the path to pulling out of the North American Free Trade Agreement, on the eve of the fourth round of talks to renegotiate that deal.

President Trump Discusses Puerto Rico Relief and Recovery: "Some Very Serious Decisions Need To Be Made"…

President Donald Trump discusses the short-term (relief) and long-term (recovery) efforts for Puerto Rico.    As everyone is aware, even before the storm the island territory was under financial collapse as a result of Democrat mismanagement and generational political agendas’ creating a culture of dependency.
Hurricane Maria has exacerbated Puerto Rico’s problems and is showcasing a governmental structure incapable of governing during crisis.  The media hypes the suffering, yet omits the Island’s inept systems of governance and the culture of dependency.  The only way the U.S. federal government can assist effectively is by taking over almost every aspect of state and local government.
As President Trump points out in this impromptu press conference, congress has some decisions to make on the long-term future of Puerto Rico.  Throwing money at the problem is futile when the recipient systems are fraught with ineptitude and corruption.

.
After several conversations with dozens of relief and recovery workers the message to CTH from boots-on-the-ground is the same: the culture of dependency is jaw-dropping. Watch the raw background footage from Western media on the island and see if you can spot any native Puerto Rican residents doing much, if anything, to help themselves.

Beijing Orders North-Korea Businesses to Close Operations in China…

Before getting to the heart of the latest announcement it is important to note there is a great deal of rapid economic action taking shape in China ahead of Secretary Rex Tillerson’s arrival.   ¹China has stopped the import of recyclables.  ²Chinese manufacturing is slowing.  ³Comac (chinese aerospace) has successfully tested their latest airliner.
#1 is important because it reflects the opinion of the central economic planners in Beijing that #2 is more severe than currently publicized. #3 is important because Canada’s plan in the Boeing -vs- Bombardier trade dispute was to look toward China to purchase Canadian subsidized aerospace products. Purchases won’t happen because China is creating it’s own airline manufacturing industry with Comac (a Beijing subsidized industry). However, China is more than willing to give the illusion of trade in order to steal Bombardier technology.
Those are all subtle signals of economic activity within China.
However, today the bigger economic story is an outcome of President Trump and Treasury Mnuchin outlining specific sanctions against any entity that engages in economic activity with North Korea.
Beijing understands the consequences to the Trump/Mnuchin sanctions and finds themselves in a tight position where allowing DPRK business interests to operate within China violates the intended purpose to cut off North Korea from it’s economic enablers.

(Via Daily Mail) China has ordered North Korean companies in the country to shut down by January as it applies UN sanctions imposed following Pyongyang’s sixth nuclear test.
The commerce ministry in Beijing said today the companies, including joint ventures with Chinese firms, have 120 days to close from the date the United Nations resolution was adopted on September 12.

MAGAnomics – Adjusted Final 2nd Quarter GDP Reflects 3.1% Growth…

The latest 2nd quarter (April – June) GDP growth estimates have been revised to show an increase of 3.1% breaking the economic threshold of three percent President Trump established as a growth goal. Economists snarked it would never happen.
However, perhaps even more interesting for CTH readers who have been following MAGAnomic predictions, are the numbers inside the economy and the downstream activity within an economy focused on Main Street instead of Wall Street.

Here’s the presentation from Reuters.  I’ve pulled out some paragraphs that specifically relate to earlier discussions on the New Economic Dimension, and possible behavior.  It’s happening folks. What we earlier thought might happen is now happening.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The U.S. economy grew a bit faster than previously estimated in the second quarter, recording its quickest pace in more than two years, but the momentum probably slowed in the third quarter as Hurricanes Harvey and Irma temporarily curbed activity.
Gross domestic product increased at a 3.1 percent annual rate in the April-June period, the Commerce Department said in its third estimate on Thursday. The upward revision from the 3.0 percent rate of growth reported last month reflected a slightly faster pace of inventory investment.

Wow – Simon Rosenberg Makes The Most Ridiculous Economic Defense of Illegal Aliens…

Welcome to the dimension of bizarro world that is so far away from reality it creates it’s own gravity and inverts itself.   This position is actually being broadcast on national television.  Simon Rosenberg appeared on Tucker Carlson’s TV show to defend illegal immigration.  In his position he attempts an economic defense that he has carefully written out for recitation.

.
Rosenberg claims that because illegal aliens represent 5% of the population, and because the U.S. GDP is around $20 trillion – the economic value of illegal aliens is $1 trillion.
Let that sink in.  Simon Rosenberg is saying the U.S. Gross Domestic Product is an outcome of, or connected to, the size of the U.S. population.
For clarity.  There is absolutely NO relationship between the size of a nation’s population, any nation, and their Gross Domestic Product (GDP).  The GDP is simply the combined value of all goods and services produced in a country, minus their imported goods.  It has no relationship to how many people function within the country.

Interesting Report: President Trump Preparing Executive Order Allowing Insurance Sales Across State Lines…

An interesting report out of Washington DC highlights President Trump considering an executive order to allow health insurance policies to be sold across state lines.  Given the scope of the flexibility granted to HHS within the original ObamaCare construct this seems rather plausible.
Additionally, this report gains accuracy when considering how the corporate media apparatus have been targeting HHS Secretary Tom Price in the last several days. Attacking people of influence based on their threat level to the corporate administrative state is how DC and their corporate media apparatus work together.

WASHINGTON DC –  President Trump is preparing an executive order to allow people to purchase health insurance across state lines, a reform conservatives have long championed as a way to bring costs down and stir greater competition in the national marketplace.
The executive action gives the White House a chance to follow through on at least one promise related to healthcare reform after Senate Republicans’ second attempt to overhaul Obamacare failed this week. Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul first mentioned the action during a TV appearance Wednesday morning, saying Trump was considering taking matters into his own hands.
