I just realized something….. it’s not “Our House”.   From their perspective it’s “Their House”.   No-more White House tours, which the water-carrying media appear to accept, for anyone….  Unless they want to throw a party.

I’m reminded of what the Clinton team did to the White House when Al Gore lost the 2000 election.

WHITE HOUSE – Next week Justin Timberlake, Al Green, Queen Latifah, and many others will perform at the White House in a “Memphis Soul” concert, the White House announced today.

“As part of their ‘In Performance at the White House’ series, the President and First Lady will invite music legends and contemporary major artists to the White House for a celebration of Memphis Soul music. The program will include performances by Alabama Shakes, William Bell, Steve Cropper, Al Green, Ben Harper, Queen Latifah, Cyndi Lauper, Joshua Ledet, Sam Moore, Charlie Musselwhite, Mavis Staples and Justin Timberlake, with Booker T. Jones as music director and band leader. The President’s remarks will be pooled press and the entire event will be streamed live on  www.whitehouse.gov/live starting at 6:55 PM ET.  (read more)

The impacts are real….  swear.   Parents and babies are dying…. school children are crying every morning….  dogs and cats are howling daily….  the animal kingdom is crying out for more government – more government….  people are really suffering because the government cannot spend more next year than this….  or something. 

WASHINGTON DC – White House spokesman Jay Carney lamented during a press conference Tuesday that the media are not covering the sequester’s “impacts on real people.”

“The impacts are real,” Carney insisted during an exchange with Fox News’ Ed Henry, “and they effect real people. And I know that there hasn’t been a lot of coverage of the impacts on real people.” (more…)

(VIA BEN JEALOUS) One year later, the Trayvon Martin tragedy still stings – and some people are still throwing salt on the open wound. Last week George Zimmerman’s brother, Robert Zimmerman, posted a tweet comparing Trayvon Martin to De’Marquis Elkins, 17-year-old black teenager charged with fatally shooting a one-year-old baby.

The tweet showed a photo of Elkins side by side with a photo of Martin, both making inappropriate gestures, with the caption “A picture speaks a thousand words. Any questions?”

Zimmerman’s follow-up tweet read “Lib[eral] media [should] ask if what these [two] black teens did [to] a [woman and her baby] is the reason [people] think blacks might [be] risky”. The implication was that Trayvon Martin’s actions on the night he was murdered were equivalent to the killing of an innocent child. (more…)

Modern Political history is filled with mayoral candidates who position themselves for victory in their bid for public office by getting arrested.  Marion Barry in Washington DC appears to have been one of the most prolific felons to use the approach.

(Via GWP) Missouri – A former alderman and current candidate for mayor in Pine Lawn was arrested Sunday night, after police say she created a disturbance inside a grocery store.

Nakisha Ford was charged with disorderly conduct and stealing after she allegedly became upset with a campaign ad posted inside a Pine Lawn Market, and began yelling at employees to remove it. (more…)

COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY – Former Weather Underground radical Kathy Boudin — who spent 22 years in prison for an armored-car robbery that killed two cops and a Brinks guard — now holds a prestigious adjunct professorship at Columbia University’s School of Social Work, The Post has learned.

Boudin, 69, this year won another academic laurel — being named the Sheinberg Scholar-in-Residence at NYU Law School, where last month she gave a lecture on “the politics of parole and re-entry.” (more…)

Ackbarsays (ABS) Writes: This article concerns Bethune Cookman University. You’ll remember them because a group of BCU students famously marched from downtown Daytona Beach to Sanford during the height of the whole Zimmerman lynch-fest last year.   This private university of less than 3600 students is asking (demanding?) they be allowed to establish their own police force, answerable to the school president rather than the local police chief. Note that they try to cover their real intentions by saying that this is about student safety (an “added layer of protection” from “violent shooters”).  I highlighted a few things and added a few notes:

DAYTONA BEACH — Bethune-Cookman University could have its own independent police force in about five months, an autonomous law enforcement agency that would report to the school’s president — not the city’s police chief.

That’s the hope of top B-CU officials who have been talking to city officials and working on a proposed agreement they would like city commissioners to vote on within the next month.

“As we looked across the country at the number of violent shooters, the Board of Trustees felt we needed an added layer of protection,” said Cheryl Lawson-Young, B-CU’s crime prevention and compliance manager. (more…)

WASHINGTON DC – A photo of the Obamas hugging that was released on Election Day 2012 has become the world’s most popular tweet on Twitter. A dressed-up version of Barack Obama’s State of the Union speech, packed with charts and graphs, is huge on YouTube. A playful picture of the president cavorting with a 3-year-old in a Spiderman costume is a favorite online.

It’s all courtesy of the Obama image machine, serving up a stream of words, images and videos that invariably cast the president as commanding, compassionate and on the ball. In this world, Obama’s family is always photogenic, first dog Bo is always well-behaved and the vegetables in the South Lawn kitchen garden always seem succulent. (more…)

(Via Freedomworks)  I am currently in my freshman year of high school and the incidents are happening more frequently and I believe are more severe.  As you can imagine, the ongoing pressure and bullying has been disturbing to me, my friends and my family.

Just before the 2010 Midterm election, I was on the front page of the local newspaper for my political volunteer work and my teachers noticed. One of my seven teachers made it very clear that she dissaproved of my civic engagement. In a period of two months, my Geography teacher frequently would take me aside after school for a few minutes and tell me how stupid, wrong and misguided I was for being Republican. The harassment with this specific teacher got so bad, I had to switch schools halfway through the year.  At this time I was only 12 years old. To my knowledge, this teacher was not disciplined at all for her actions. (more…)

You might have begun the day with thoughtful reflection for the Rising of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.   You might have even gathered your family to discuss how the death of the Son of God was to forgive us our sins and grant absolution for all those who proclaim His name.

You might have even held each other close in celebration of the joyous gift we recognize this day filled with eternal light, love and grace.  

Perhaps you clasped hands and gave consideration for the abundant kindness and strength of Christianity in the face of overwhelming adversity and prayed for those who trespass against us. 

Perhaps.

But not Obama.

No, instead he chose to sit and worship at the altar of almighty self-righteous indignation.  When you point outward you “Forgive not your trespasses for you forgive not those who have trespassed against you”…. 

WASHINGTON DC – The pastor at the Washington, D.C. church where the Obama family celebrated Easter on Sunday said members of the religious right want blacks “in the back of the bus,” women “back in the kitchen” and immigrants “back on their side of the border.” (more…)

This article is representative of why we cannot have an honest discussion about violence in this country without being labeled as racist.

One of the key tenets of Progs is their capacity to use congnitive dissonance to reconcile their arguments/positions.  They ignore the water in the rain and describe getting wet as a problem.  The truth does not fit this agenda.

Articles and interviews would flood the media, and we’d have political debates demanding that African Americans be “held accountable.” Then, if an atrocity such as the Newtown, Conn., shootings took place and African American male leaders held a news conference to offer solutions, their credibility would be questionable. The public would tell these leaders that they need to focus on problems in their own culture and communities.

But when the criminals and leaders are white men, race and gender become the elephant in the room.

The victimization rate for blacks (27.8 per 100,000) is 6 times higher than the rate for whites (4.5 per 100,000). Nearly all of the mass shootings in this country in recent years — not just Newtown, Aurora, Fort Hood, Tucson and Columbine — have been committed by white men and boys. Yet when the National Rifle Association (NRA), led by white men, held a news conference after the Newtown massacre to advise Americans on how to reduce gun violence, its leaders’ opinions were widely discussed.
