Obviously I admire Rand Paul’s self restraint. If it had been me in his position, I probably would have hit the emergency stop button and asked him (quite deliberately) “hey dipshit, whatever happened to that ‘I won’t support Brennan until we get all the Bengazi information’ point you were holding?…… Never mind – Maverdick indeed”
This is why I hate some republicans only slightly less than progressives.
John McCain and Lindsey Graham Declared War on Rand Paul Today – Senator John McCain (R-AZ) took to the senate floor today and TRASHED Senator Rand Paul (R-KY). Sen. John McCain took the Senate floor on Thursday afternoon to respond to Sen. Rand Paul’s filibuster about drones — and made it abundantly clear that he does not in fact “stand with Rand.” Reading from the critical Wall Street Journal editorial urging Paul to “calm down,” McCain tore into Paul’s arguments.
By the way, it didn’t have to be that particular article. There are a thousand other links that could have been used for the same purpose spreading back over the last 60 months since Obama began actively campaigning for POTUS and saying what his intentions were. That one just happened to be a current update regarding an ongoing situation.

National history is re-written, re-defined, and molded to fit the new intended behavioral model and create the new values.
Stage Two: Crisis – Creation of economic, financial, and national security crisis. Also includes social crisis and breakdown of previous self-evident restrictions on moral behavior. Cloward Piven approach to overloading the system, ie more takers than producers. The crisis produces benevolent leaders who will promise to deliver “things” (Hope and Change) to meet people’s needs through Social and Economic Justice. False illusions that the situation is under control if certain strategic directions are followed (Bailouts, Stimulus, Jobs Bills, Regulations of industry, Unconstitutional Power Grabs, Dismissal of Historical Laws, Changes in legislative processes, Changes in checks and balances of power etc). Earlier in the week – The federal government released groups of illegal immigrants from custody across the country Monday at the same time the White House was making its case that impending budget cuts would harm efforts to protect the border and enforce federal immigration laws.
Advocates reported “waves” of illegal immigrants being released from at least three detention centers in Texas, Florida and Louisiana.
U.S. Immigration Customs and Enforcement confirmed the release of some illegal immigrants Monday night but would not say how many or from which detention centers. (more…)

WASHINGTON DC – Chuck Hagel won confirmation Tuesday to become defense secretary over objections to his views on Middle East security and the administration’s handling of an attack on a U.S. consulate in Libya.
On a 58 to 41 vote, the Senate confirmed the former GOP senator as four Republicans joined 54 Democrats in approving Hagel, ending a nearly two-month battle that included an unprecedented filibuster against the nominee.
The four Republican senators voting in favor were Thad Cochran (Miss.), Mike Johanns (Neb.), Richard C. Shelby (Ala.) and Rand Paul (Ky.). All 41 no votes came from Republicans. (more…)
