GEORGIA – City Commissioner James Henry Brooks Sr. has been charged with influencing a witness and obstructing the investigation of the fatal shooting of a baby and wounding of his mother March 21.

Brooks, also charged with racketeering in unrelated cases in Camden County, was booked into the Glynn County jail.

He was at the Glynn County Courthouse Monday when the mother of murder defendant De’Marquise Elkins left the courthouse after her son’s initial court appearance. As Karimah Elkins and another woman walked from the courthouse, a county police investigator tried to speak with her. Brooks stepped between them and prevented the officer from speaking with the mother, officials said. (more…)

(CofCC) Recently in Brunswick, GA, two black teenagers shot a white mother and then executed her baby with a point blank shot to the face. What happened next revealed a shocking community wide problem.

Brunswick, GA is a small city of 15,000 people. It is about 60% black. The shooting took place in a census track that is 73% black and 13% white. The fairskinned mother and her blond-haired blue-eyed baby would have stuck out. They were undoubtedly targeted because they are white.

The suspects in the shooting are 17 and 14. Seventeen year old De’Marquise Elkins is the suspected gunman. According to local media he is also suspected in another shooting, but details have not been released.

Here is where the village comes in. The mother, sister, and aunt of the suspected gunman have all been arrested and charged with felony obstruction. Police say they provided false statements and sent them on a wild goose chase. People don’t normally try to protect relatives from prosecution when the crime is this heinous. This shows a shocking disregard for the rest of the community. (more…)

Many people were wondering what approach Mark O’Mara would take now that Operation Q-Beam has been successful.    While this is not a formal retort to the court, the GZ Defense Team has posted the following notification as a reply to The State’s Response:

The STATE’S RESPONSE TO DEFENDANT’S MOTION FOR SANCTIONS AGAINST STATE ATTORNEY’S OFFICE FOR DISCOVERY VIOLATIONS, while pointed, has little substance that addresses the very serious motion we have before the Court.

From a legal perspective, the Zimmerman case is about whether George Zimmerman acted in self-defense, but we understand that the case has also become important to the national conversation about race relations, about gun control, and about “Stand Your Ground” laws. Although the Court will not be able to resolve these larger issues, we as the defense team, have chosen to engage in the national conversation in a responsible and respectful way. (more…)

Hence, this is how you confront the opposition. Allow them to advance into the false field of their accusations – then confront them head on with sunlight and truthful disposition.

This is the part that none of them appeared willing to do, but it is the only manner and method of actually confronting the core issue behind the persecution without alluding to it and nibbling around the edges….. (more…)

If you read the Orlando Sentinel article written by Rene Stutzman today, maybe you will be able to witness the leverage over O’Mara we have oft talked of, and described as being dangerous to George Zimmerman’s defense.

George Zimmerman and his immediate circle of influence were/are well aware of the risk O’Mara has presented.   They know he lied – yet they stuck with him.   Perhaps because they felt sorry for him, or perhaps because they simply had no other option.  Regardless, it is now abundantly clear, the full extent of the compromise.   Perhaps today, they are more understanding…. 

Note not only how Bernie De La Rionda is talking – but note also what references he is talking to. Specifically calling back into light the Financial Affidavit with a well placed rhetorical question to O’Mara: …”do you really want to go there?”… (more…)

DETROIT – Detroiters are the victims of Jesse Jackson’s last – and worst – shakedown.  Unlike his past antics – allegedly designed to help the little guy in his struggle against The Man – this one is about Jackson trying to prove his relevance at a time when he has become irrelevant. Many people – OK, me – believe the tears Jackson shed in Chicago when Barack Obama won the presidency were not tears of joy – but rather tears of jealousy that the first black president was not him. Obama’s elevation rendered Jesse irrelevant.  The Reverend Un-necessary.

Money for the con game was gone. Al Sharpton knew it – and quickly got a gig on MSNBC (hosting a pathetic show -but it paid the bills). But Jackson was stuck.

Reverend Jackson needed a new shakedown.  […]   Now along comes the opportunity of a lifetime: a broken Detroit! A white, millionaire governor stealing Detroit from its people!  He swept into the city and promised mass civil disobedience.  It was like old times again!

SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — A Georgia teenager shot a 13-month-old baby in the face while trying to rob the child’s mother, according to an indictment returned Wednesday that also charged the suspect with shooting another person in an unrelated robbery attempt earlier this month.

The indictment by a Glynn County grand jury charges 17-year-old De’Marquise Elkins on nine counts, including malice murder, in the slaying last Thursday of young Antonio Santiago a few blocks from his home in coastal Brunswick.

Another suspect, 15-year-old Dominique Lang, was indicted on seven counts including felony murder. But the indictment specifies that authorities believe it was Elkins who shot the child and wounded his mother with a .22-caliber revolver as the boys tried to steal money from her. (more…)

As you read this article try not to focus on what was said by representative Joe Mitchell, instead ask yourself ‘why would he feel empowered to say  it’?

Then imagine what would be the media response if this was said in reverse race order, from a white state representative to a black constituent?

ALABAMA – A black member of the Alabama legislature uncorked a racist tirade in an email this week to a constituent who urged him not to embrace new gun control laws – copying his incendiary language to every member of the state legislature.

Joseph Mitchell, a Democrat who has represented parts of the city of Mobile since 1994 and ran for re-election unopposed in 2010 and 2006, castigated a voter named Eddie Maxwell, a Jefferson County man whom he correctly presumed was white. (more…)
