Listen closely to how the media and the administration are talking about Medicare “overall”. Listen to them begin to talk about how structurally flawed it is – not just financially, but in substantive structure.
Creeping control. Listen.
Listen to them, the administration and the media, describe the fraud that exists within the Medicare program. Listen to the specific word choices.
Listen as they describe the feasibility of cutting the cost of Medicare by addressing the payment side (reimbursement) of the equation, and how they will NOT have to increase payments into the program. Listen to how they maintain the premise that Medicare Program is structurally sound – it just needs “tweaking”, and they can cut the “overall” cost of the medicare program without hitting the beneficiaries up for increased contribution rates or structural changes to the program.

WASHINGTON D.C. – Sorry, college students. President Obama has cut your access to Pell Grants by 33%; he just forgot to mention it before Election Day.
During the recent campaign, President Obama claimed credit for increasing funding to the Pell Grant program, which provides college funds, free from repayment, to millions of students. However, an email sent out Tuesday to some Dallas college students is revealing a detail the President forgot to mention: the time a student can receive a Pell Grant has been cut, by as much as three years. With Pell Grants for the fall semester now dispersed, colleges are informing students of their options, bringing the cuts to light. (more…)

“The President has said many times that the American people are demanding action,” White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer told The Huffington Post. “They want to see progress, not partisan delay games. The initial “Virginia-Pilot” attack happened on April 14th 2012 – During the height of the media coverage over the Trayvon Martin story. Since then the police in Norfolk Virginia have refused to release the audio recording of the frantic 911 call placed by Marjon Rostami as she and her friend and colleague, David Forster, were being beaten by a group of black teenagers.
Perhaps the Police and media are waging a war of attrition, counting on the new media forgetting the attack. Alas, they underestimate our resolve. Where are the Tapes?
Imagine if the races were reversed and a group of up to 100 white youth viciously assaulted two innocent black people driving through town after seeing a movie. Do you think anyone would accept the police refusal to release the multiple 911 recordings? (more…)
