#1 OK…. Here comes some of those Obama care taxes on Jan 1, 2013. Soon every purchase you make, there will be more taxes. On 103.98 I was charged 8.58 for Texas state taxes. And then Obama care medical tax another 2.39. So the more you spend , the more goes to the “so called free Obama care”.
In case you were wondering what “quickly means” in the mind of President Obama allow me to give you a few recent (last 48 hrs) examples, you decide:
#1 ) The Senate was forced to vote on New Years Day, at 2:00am, for the “Fiscal Cliff Bill” exactly THREE, count them, 3 minutes after receiving it. That means they had exactly 1.16 seconds to read each of the 154 pork-loaded pages, and analyze the “budget score“. (Bill pdf)
#2) From the Golf Course, by Dictatorial Fiat, President Obama, through the Department of Homeland Security, granted immediate amnesty to current illegal aliens effective March 4th. […] illegal immigrants who can demonstrate that time apart from an American spouse, child or parent would create “extreme hardship,” can start the application process for a legal visa without leaving the U.S. […] The change is the latest move by the administration to use its executive powers to revise immigration procedures without Congress passing a law. PREVIOUSLY, In August, the Obama administration launched a program to halt the deportation of young people brought to the U.S. unlawfully as children.
So what exactly do you expect with his recent promise of “fundamental change” for gun ownership against the backdrop of a new promise to “move quickly”?….
“Something fundamental in America has to change,” said Obama, who visited on December 16 with families of victims of the Newtown, Connecticut, school shootings. (link)
The president said Sunday he will put forth a proposal next year to change firearm laws. [we now know he plans to have it completed by the end of January – his first month]
Next up, Iranian TV buys MSNBC…. and Al Jazeera will host the 2016 Presidential Debates. (THIS IS NOT A JOKE)
NEW YORK – Al Jazeera is finalizing a deal to take over Current TV, the low-rated cable channel that was founded by Al Gore and his business partners seven years ago.
If the deal is completed, Current will provide the pan-Arab news giant with something it has sought for years: a pathway into American living rooms. Current is available in about 60 million of the 100 million homes in the United States with cable or satellite service. (read more)
Amid actual reports that firearms are scarce to non-existent in many stores, and empty ammo shelves abound both in stores and on-line warehouses, some of the actual statistics begin to surface:
(Reuters) – The number of FBI background checks for U.S. gun purchases set a record in December, as the Connecticut school massacre prompted renewed talk of limits on firearms, according to new FBI data.
The FBI said it recorded 2.8 million background checks during the month, surpassing the record set in November of 2 million checks. The number was up 49 percent over December 2011, when the FBI performed a then-record 1.9 million checks. (article)
The media is drumming the beat of “Sandy Relief” all day in their insufferable effort to ridicule the House of Representatives for failing to “Bail Out” New York and New Jersey. Why? Because they will NEVER want to expose the pork stuffed into the “fiscal cliff deal”….
(Via ABC News) The “fiscal cliff” compromise has been heralded as a saving grace for middle class taxpayers, their families and the unemployed.
But buried in the fine print of the 150-page deal are also some lesser-known New Year’s gifts to some of Washington’s favorite industries. […]
The mix of tax perks covering the next year, but with budget implications for the next two years includes everything from incentives for employers to hire veterans to incentives for employers to invest in mine safety. But it also includes these:
- $430 million for Hollywood through “special expensing rules” to encourage TV and film production in the United States. Producers can expense up to $15 million of costs for their projects. (more…)
I will not register my weapons should this bill be passed, as I do not believe it is the government’s right to know what I own. Nor do I think it prudent to tell you what I own so that it may be taken from me by a group of people who enjoy armed protection yet decry me having the same a crime.
You ma’am have overstepped a line that is not your domain. I am a Marine Corps Veteran of 8 years, and I will not have some woman who proclaims the evil of an inanimate object, yet carries one, tell me I may not have one. (more…)

Looks like there is enough votes to pass the bill. Another defeat for fiscal conservatives and our great-great-great grandchildren.
House now voting on debate rule for the Senate-passed fiscal cliff bill. Once approved, House begins hour debate on that, no amendments.
