Because he makes gun parts for a living this policy holder received a letter from GEICO cancelling his auto insurance. The letter says his auto insurance is being cancelled because he owns a company that manufactures parts for firearms:
(fyi, to insure the authenticity I have submitted a copy along with a request for verification to GEICO via email – we’ll see their response)
“The reason for cancellation is your vehicle […] does not meet our underwriting guidelines because it is used in conjunction with a company that deals in the weapons industry“
Get that?
OK, well, take a look at this: (more…)
When I said you are going to have to pry my fiskar peeler from my cold dead fingers….
Cue the recent, and timely, Audio/Visual Demonstration. From England:
Sign Reads: “Sale of Knives & Bladed Articles”
The sale of these products is governed by the Offensive Weapons Act 1996 (as amended by the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006) It is a criminal offence to sell these products to any person under the age of 18 years.
Yup, it’s illegal for a person under the age of 18 to purchase a set of silverware in England. Because, well, it is dangerous ownership. Seriously. This is where Piers Morganites want to take YOU, Me, US.
Many people will dismiss this claim as ridiculous or outlandish. However, the originator holds considerable merit, and if you have read the actual research you know this is not an extreme position. We have previously shared the fact based reality of numerous studies, funded by the military, identifying the primary psychology behind a willingness to fire upon citizens.
(Via GWP) Dr. Jim Garrow, the author of The Pink Pagoda: One Man’s Quest to End Gendercide in China, made the following claim on Facebook this week that is getting a whole lot of attention. The Examiner reported:
On Monday, renowned author and humanitarian Dr. Jim Garrow made a shocking claim about what we can expect to see in Obama’s second term.
Garrow made the following Facebook post:
I have just been informed by a former senior military leader that Obama is using a new “litmus test” in determining who will stay and who must go in his military leaders. Get ready to explode folks. “The new litmus test of leadership in the military is if they will fire on US citizens or not.” Those who will not are being removed.
So, who is the source?
Garrow replied: “The man who told me this is one of America’s foremost military heroes.” (link)
(Canada Free Press) Forget Wal-Mart and skip your local gun show. The murderers of tomorrow will not be found wearing orange vests at your local sporting goods store. They won’t have NRA memberships or trophies on their walls.
You won’t find them in America. Look for them in Obamerica.
67% of firearm murders took place in the country’s 50 largest metro areas. The 62 cities in those metro areas have a firearm murder rate of 9.7, more than twice the national average. Among teenagers the firearm murder rate is 14.6 or almost three times the national average. Those numbers are from six years ago. They have grown worse since.
Those are the crowded cities of Obamerica. The places with the most restrictive gun control laws and the highest crime rates. These are the places where the family is broken, money comes from the government and immigrants crowd in from some of the most violent parts of the world bringing with them their own organized crime. These are also the places that have run by Democrats and their political machines for almost as long as they have been broken. (more…)
Much of the conversation in our United States is about banning AR-15 type rifles from citizens. The left wants to ban guns, the right wants to retain their constitutionally protected 2nd amendment right.
However, one only needs to look across the pond to see what is left for defense after a decade of bans on firearms. This is not a spoof, this is an actual article from the Daily Mail about removing dangerous kitchen instruments in their “campaign aiming to end knife crime”. The citations and quotes with the pictures are, well, priceless:

Blades: The killer weapons were collected in a period of just four months
(Daily Mail) […] Superintendent Basit Javid said: ‘It is illegal to carry a knife in public and if, like me, people believe that one knife related crime is one too many, they must make a stand and come forward with information which will help us tackle the problem.’
West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner Bob Jones added: ‘The deaths of two Big Issue sellers in Birmingham last week are a stark reminder of the seriousness of knife crime, and this campaign couldn’t be more timely.’ (read full article)
(Via WeaselZippers) Republican NY State Assemblyman Steve McLaughlin released the above video showing an attempt by his Democratic opponents in the Assembly to keep a list of their gun control proposals secret, once they had decided on the bill passed in NY this past week.
The list shows how far they are willing to go, even onto confiscation of some guns, as well as continuing the demonization of legitimate law-abiding gun owners.
Here is McLaughlin’s Facebook post with the list that the Democrats were trying to supress: (more…)
The daily mail has a great roundup of pictures from yesterday’s Gun Appreciation Day. Unfortunately, because the U.S. media is carrying so much water for Obama on this one, you won’t find these visible realities on TV news.

(The Daily Mail) Thousands of gun advocates gathered peacefully Saturday at state capitals around the U.S. to rally against stricter limits on firearms, with demonstrators carrying rifles and pistols in some places while those elsewhere settled for waving hand-scrawled signs or screaming themselves hoarse. Update: A Gun Store in North Carolina who has paid for advertising, and is now having their commercials pulled, shares this story:
[…] In a statement, the cable provider said, “Time Warner Cable has policies in place that govern the kind of advertising we accept. Under that policy, we no longer accept ads showing semi-automatic weapons and guns pointed at people. We stand by this policy. If it’s essential to a business owner to show this kind of imagery in their commercials, there are other advertising options in the marketplace.”
When we asked if the cable provider would also ban similar programming, TWC said no.
“Viewers make a conscious choice to watch particular TV programs and movies, and tools like TV and movie ratings and the parental control features of our Digital TV service help consumers make informed viewing choices for their families,” a TWC spokesman said in an e-mail to WWAY. “Consumers don’t choose the advertising that airs during a particular show, so it’s appropriate for us to have a policy.” (link)
Follow the prog logic….. Um, the TV watcher has control over the remote during the show, but not during the commercials. (more…)
WASHINGTON DC – Attorney General Eric Holder and his Department of Justice have asked a federal court to indefinitely delay a lawsuit brought by the watchdog group Judicial Watch. The lawsuit seeks the enforcement of open records requests relating to Operation Fast and Furious, as required by law.
Judicial Watch had filed, on June 22, 2012, a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request seeking all documents relating to Operation Fast and Furious and “specifically [a]ll records subject to the claim of executive privilege invoked by President Barack Obama on or about June 20, 2012.” (more…)
