Today, February 24, marks the 177th anniversary of what many would say is the most important letter ever written in the State of Texas.  On February 24, 1836, Lt. Col. William Barret Travis wrote his “Liberty or Death” letter requesting additional troops be sent to the Alamo in their battle against Mexican General Santa Anna.  While history has been more amenable to some of his compatriots, most notably Davy Crockett and Jim Bowie, Lt. Col. Travis was tasked with leading this disparate group against the formidable Mexican army.  For the first time since he penned his  immortal words, the letter is back at the Alamo.

General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna reaches San Antonio with a large body of his troops, mostly cavalry. Much of his assault infantry, engineer troops and siege artillery are strung out along the road back to the Rio Grande. Of these, many of his native troops, lightly dressed for the warmth of Mexico, have suffered in a late and particularly harsh winter storm along their hasty, forced march towards the rebellious province of Tejas. The 312 area code is Chicago.    Meanwhile returning military vets are receiving notification letters telling them they are not allowed to own firearms.

This violent predator was convicted of attempted assault on a child in 2005.  He has also been convicted of assault, theft, and failure to register as a sex offender.

So, which Democrat-approved self-defense method would work best against this predator: the rape whistle, the safe zone, peeing, or vomiting?  (I really need to work on my ability to self-induce vomiting on demand, I guess.  “Hey, don’t rape me – I’m going to make myself yack!”)

The Department of Homeland Security has ordered and is storing billions of rounds of ammunition.   Recently they ordered a series of practice targets called “No More Hesitation“.  The purpose of shooting lifelike targets is to condition a person to shoot a real person without hesitation.  They have ordered over $2,000,000.00 dollars worth of these and similar targets.   Ask yourself why they would want these?

How dare the bitterclingers present a counter argument to the regime !!

WASHINGTON – Vice President Joe Biden was caught off guard Tuesday by questions he was asked during a Facebook Town Hall with Parents Magazine.

One questioner equated gun control to drug control — if criminalizing drugs didn’t get them off the streets, why will criminalizing guns? — and a second asked if limiting assault weapons and high-capacity magazines would limit people’s ability to protect themselves.

“Is this Parents Magazine? I have Parents Magazine. I’ve never heard anybody in Parents Magazine ask these kinds of questions,” Biden said. (more…)

This picture drew quite a considerable backlash.  Not from Gun Restriction Advocates, but actually and unbelievably, from gun supporters…… they thought is was an unfair extremist presentation of Brady Gun Ban Supporters…..

Those previous folks will probably be quiet now, or, well, maybe not.

You see, before passing restrictive gun laws in Colorado the exact argument (succinctly outlined in the poster) were factually advanced by Colorado Democrats.   Why Women Don’t Need Guns: You May “Feel Like You’re Going To Be Raped, When You May Actually Not Be” – So don’t shoot the would be rapist, you might be wrong.
