Rick Perry, the governor of Texas, is widely believed to be considering a run for the GOP presidential nomination.  If he does
choose to run, many political observers predict he will become one of the frontrunners of the contest, as the current crop of candidates, with a couple of exceptions, is less than overwhelming.
More than a few say that once Rick Perry officially declares his candidacy for the Republican nomination, the race will
immediately boil down to a contest between him and Mitt Romney.

The ususal trophy is, of course, offered hand-made by your’s truly out of tin-foil and bacon.  It’s traditional here in the tree.  It Will Be Magnificent.  Today we’re going to guess when a 5th-generation Texan raised on a ranch, edumacated at A & M (Gig ‘Em Aggies!!), a former Demoncrat, and will protect his damdog, dammit, and sick-and-tired of our damstate being on fire, and did I mention – a close friend of US Citizen Sarah Palin, and more than tired of illegal invaders adding to the mess we’re already in, plus now we’ve got the damlizard-gonna-cut-off-the-oil and now, the…. Otis P. Driftwood’s Naval Career

In 1975, after 5 1/2 year in the Army Reserve, I decided to go on  active duty. The Army wanted to drop me from E-4 down to E-2. I
wasn’t having any of that, so I walked out of that recruiter’s office and straight across the hall into the Navy recruiter’soffice. He said I would have to drop to E-3 and after he explained how the Navy Petty Officer system worked I said OK. 3 weeks later I
was at Great Lakes Naval Station in Waukegan, IL.  It was December and the first time this Florida boy had EVER been involved with snow in any size, shape, or form. While there I attended a 3-week OSVet (Other Service Veteran) class. (more…)
