Through the use of social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter, it seems the anarchists are determined to bring the Arab Spring to the shores of the United States. Sites like #Occupy Wall Street, and US Day of Rage have been encouraging the disaffected to seize back control of the banks. “The Occupation Has Begun!”, states one site… “Beginning on September 17, we want to see 20,000 people flood into lower Manhattan, set up tents, kitchens, peaceful barricades and occupy Wall Street for a few months. Once there, we shall incessantly repeat one simple demand in a plurality of voices.”
Others like Real Democracy Now!, herald a world-wide occupation of banks and ‘banksters’, and implore people to take to the streets to send their government a message. Isn’t it great to know that our government spent millions of dollars to pass out free cellphones to these folks? (more…)
(h/t Solaratov)…As the hour grows closer to the Sabbath, here is a video that reflects the beauty and joy of one man’s interview with God. It’s a slightly different version of the one Sol linked here, however, the spirit remains the same.
For your Saturday evening viewing pleasure. And yes….Obama is STILL a SCOAMF as well. “Snakebit again!”
*UPDATE*…(Chron) –The death toll grew Monday to 10, as another injured person died late Sunday, Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center spokeswoman Jamii Uboldi said. Authorities said 70 people were treated at hospitals, and that four remained in critical condition.
(WSJ) — RENO, Nev.—A local deputy police chief said nine people had died after a vintage World War II fighter plane slammed into a crowd of onlookers Friday at an air race here, while another 17 people were still being treated for injuries and 24 had been treated and released under a vintage sign store offering vintage signs for sale.
(SUN)…THREE people are thought to have been killed after a plane crashed in front of the grandstands at an air race in America yesterday. A medical official said more than 54 people were injured at the Reno National Championship Air Races — 25 critically. It was described as a “mass casualty situation” by a spokesman for the race in Nevada. In shocking footage from the show, planes pass in front of the crowd at high speed before one aircraft suddenly smashes into the ground from an almost vertical angle. It creates a huge cloud of dust and debris and screams are heard.

(Scoamf) – Okay, this is my favorite one of the ‘Downfall Parodies’ yet. Go ahead…Google it, I’ll wait. Looks like this meme is just starting to take off, so I imagine YouTube will be pulling it down shortly. Besides being chock full of satisfying good nicknames to call Obama, (i.e. King Putt), the Tom Jones background music is a nice touch too. (Remember, I warned you about the language.)

(CBS)…Manchester, N.H. – “It’s great to spend Labor Day with you,” Palin told a large crowd of tea party supporters in Manchester, N.H., on the traditional kick off day of the presidential primary season. “You could be grilling up some steaks with your neighbors and instead, you’re concerned about your country and taking a stand.”
Palin drew about 600 people, more than double the number that turned out for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney at a tea party event in Concord, N.H., on Sunday. Many had hoped to hear the 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee announce her candidacy, some of them chanting “Run, Sarah, run.” She smiled. “I appreciate your encouragement. I do,” Palin told them, with well-practiced coyness. (more…)

(CBS/AP)…PERUGIA, Italy – The appeals case of Amanda Knox, the American student convicted of killing her British roommate, resumed Monday with lawyers questioning independent experts who cast doubt on the evidence used in the first trial.
The 24-year-old from Seattle who has been behind bars since the November 2007 murder was in the Perugia courtroom, as was her co-defendant and onetime boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito.

DC based “Freedomworks” has stirred up quite a bit of controversy within the tea party movement with their latest suggestion that Mitt Romney can still possibly gain the support of their organization. Matt Kibbe of Freedomworks appeared on “The Factor”, and said the following…“If he would repudiate Obamacare/Romneycare, if he would take a stand on the budget, if he would get some specifics about where he is on these issues, I think he has a chance. We believe that he can come around, he hasn’t been willing to do that and we believe a press conference just isn’t going to cut it.”
After weeks of playing coy, it seems Gov. Romney has had his ‘Come to Jesus’ moment, and has now decided to court the tea party vote. (more…)
