Commissioner Silver will more than likely get the 75% supermajority vote he needs to oust Sterling, so now the question is….will Shelly Sterling want to run the team? California’s community property laws dictate that Shelly has a right to 50% of everything Donald owns…most importantly, that will be the Clippers. Reportedly, she’s a long time fan of the game, and she really loves the team.
“When I was there she was very good and kind to me,’’ Harper said. “I was at a game last year, sat down and ate with her. She loves the team and the sport and loves basketball. She knows what’s going on. It’s probably going to hurt her more than him.”
Well……now the long knives are coming out for Shelly, and what she said Monday night certainly won’t help her case. After publicly calling her husband despicable and scolding him for his racist comments, she’s goes out to dinner with him, and says he isn’t a racist and the tape was altered via TMZ.

This all goes down last night after she’s attended Monday night’s LA Clippers game dressed in black in an apparent show of solidarity with the players. Shelly’s doing the driving, and she’s not looking too happy about it either. Note the “handicapped sticker”…. I’m guessing she rated that perk for having to haul his sorry a** all over town.

CNN spent the better part of the day fretting about what to do if and when Shelly Sterling gains control of her husband’s team.

Sonny Hostin went on to reveal that if and when Shelly receives ownership of the team, she’ll have to answer questions regarding her dubious involvement in her husband’s racist real estate dealings.
Could this be what she’s talking about?

A 2003 District Court document outlining the case of the Housing Rights Center versus Donald Sterling Corp. alleges that Shelly would pose as a health inspector and use that bogus authority to record tenants’ ethnicities.
Shelly is also named in a 2006 lawsuit by the United States government against Donald and Shelly, in which the government claimed:
Defendants Donald Sterling, Rochelle Sterling, and their agents and/or employees have engaged in a pattern or practice of discrimination on the basis of race, national origin, and familial status in connection with the rental of dwellings owned by the Korean Land Company, the Sterling Family Trust, and Donald and Rochelle Sterling, in violation of the Fair Housing Act.
