This is why we cannot accept “decepticons” as representatives.  Anwar Sadat was assassinated by the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.   The terrorist organization was banned for almost 30 years before the “arab spring” created the window of opportunity for the radical islamist elements to rise once again.

Here you have a Republican, with little to no knowledge of the actual events within Egypt supporting an organization who just released known terrorists from prison.  Well, at least we assume his opinion is due to insufferable niavete’.  If not, then this guy is a stealth Islamofascist hiding in Californiastan...

Rep. David Dreier (R-Calif.), who chairs the House Democracy Partnership and witnessed Egypt’s historic presidential election firsthand in May, called on the United States to continue to work with Egypt as it continues its transition toward democracy, even though it is now led by the Muslim Brotherhood.

“Knowing of the harsh and deeply troubling rhetoric the Brotherhood has used over the years, many Americans rightly ask the question: Can we work with the newly elected leadership in Egypt?” he asked. “Should we continue to provide support to this government and the Egyptian people? What exactly does the Brotherhood stand for, and how will they lead?”

In an answer to his own question, Dreier said it would be wrong for the United States to pull away from Egypt simply because it is now led by the Muslim Brotherhood.

“How can we preach democracy, and yet shun the free and fair choices of Egyptians?” he asked. Dreier added that democracy is more than just elections, and is also about protecting all citizens. He said it would be a mistake to back away from Egypt now. (read more)
