Continuing proof that progs are in the minority, NBC pulls ‘Rock Center with Brian Williams’ for May sweeps.

Bad news for “Rock Center With Brian Williams”: NBC has pulled the newsmagazine show for the remainder of May Sweeps.  It will be replaced by reruns of “Law and Order: SVU,” according to TVNewser.   May, of course, is a critical month when ratings are used to determine ad rates.
The NBC newsmagazine has struggled with ratings since debuting with an all-star roster last fall (its contributors include Meredith Vieira, Ted Koppel and Chelsea Clinton). It does, however, have a three-year commitment from NBC.
