The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is used by just about every liberal media outlet to manipulate the narrative of extremist terrorists as being from the “far right”.   SPLC spokesperson Mark Potac is on television weekly selling this narrative;  The most recent example was his appearance, early on following the Boston Bombing, claiming the bombers were most likely right-wing extremists.

But the Family Research Council shooter, Floyd Corkins, tells the FBI he drew his hit list from the leftist SPLC.
