Cronyism Running Amok – Pork….. Pork….. Pork…. Spending ! Spending ! Spending !

The media is drumming the beat of “Sandy Relief” all day in their insufferable effort to ridicule the House of Representatives for failing to “Bail Out” New York and New Jersey. Why? Because they will NEVER want to expose the pork stuffed into the “fiscal cliff deal”….

undefined(Via ABC News) The “fiscal cliff” compromise has been heralded as a saving grace for middle class taxpayers, their families and the unemployed.

But buried in the fine print of the 150-page deal are also some lesser-known New Year’s gifts to some of Washington’s favorite industries. […]

The mix of tax perks covering the next year, but with budget implications for the next two years includes everything from incentives for employers to hire veterans to incentives for employers to invest in mine safety. But it also includes these:

  • $430 million for Hollywood through “special expensing rules” to encourage TV and film production in the United States.  Producers can expense up to $15 million of costs for their projects. (more…)

1933 “US”…

I find myself in total agreement with this person.  Does this ring true to your frame of reference also?…..

naziobama_big(Deb)  I no longer wonder how so many people who lived during Hitler’s evil reign of terror could have gone along with the unimaginable inhumanity of Naziism. I used to wonder about it. Not anymore.

I see horrifyingly evil “opinions” expressed by fellow Americans every day on Twitter, and in comment sections of  blogs. They don’t just disagree with conservatives – they want us to shut up, lose our jobs,  be financially ruined,  or to drop dead. They actually root for Republicans to die, and when they do die, the ghouls celebrate their deaths.  Not just one or two weirdos  – but huge packs of them.

Violent Unions Threaten Michigan Governor

MICHIGAN –  A speaker at a union protest against right-to-work legislation said if Gov. Rick Snyder signed the bill he would get “no rest” and that protesters would be at his “daughter’s soccer game.” (threats start at :40 mark).

The Rev. Charles Williams II made the comments Tuesday to loud cheers before a group of thousands of union workers. After his promises to harass Gov. Snyder, he introduced Rep. Richard Hammel, D-Mt. Morris Township, and House Minority Leader Tim Greimel, D-Auburn Hills. Williams is a Detroit-area pastor and left-wing activist.

Gov. Snyder later that day signed a bill into law making Michigan a right-to-work state. One of his daughters is a 16-year-old high school student. (more…)

Clint Tarver Discusses Attack by Union Thugs – Tea Party Conservatives Raise Over $22,000 and Climbing….

Ridiculous that the idiot thugs had to target a friggin hot-dog vendor just because they are filled with self-interest, rage and hatred.   But awesome for the Tea Party Conservatives to respond with overwhelming concern and raise money to help him.

(Via Big Government)  Local Lansing Michigan hot dog vendor Clint Tarver was catering for Americans For Prosperity during the right-to-work demonstrations at the State Capitol on Tuesday, when two men rushed into the tent. In a video interview with Breitbart News, Clint claims one of the men wore a “Devil Mask.”

When reporter Lee Stranahan describes a Guy Fawkes mask, Tarver indicates that it sounds like that is what the assailant wore. Tarver was shown a photo of a Guy Fawkes mask after the interview and confirmed that it what the attacker who kicked over coffee machines and began attacking the tent with a box cutter, was wearing. Michigan: Union Thugs Yell “Ni**er and Uncle Tom” As They Demolish Hot Dog Cart – Conservative Racist Tea Partiers Raise Over $9,000 To Help Man Rebuild Business

(WeaselZippers) […] he wasn’t there to protest for or against right-to-work, just to sell hot dogs.   And conservatives being the racist people that they are have already raised over $5,600 $9,000 to help Clint Tarver get back on his feet.

(Via IS)  Early today [December 11, 2012], Clint Tarver, known as “The Hot Dog Guy” here in Lansing had his business attacked and destroyed by out of line and out of control protesters near the Capitol.

Everyone who has passed the hot dog cart knows what a kind and caring individual Clint is. He never fails to bestow a smile or friendly greeting. In no way [did] he provoke this attack, nor any of the behavior displayed toward him.  (article) (more…)

Ya Don’t Say: ABC, CBS, And NBC All Ignore Violence From Union Protesters In Michigan – Absolutely ZERO Reports…

bs606

What do you think the media cycle would have been like if the Tea Party had been punching people, knocking them to the ground and breaking up their tents n stuff with women and elderly inside?

Newsbusters – All three networks on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning ignored the violent assaults by union protesters in Michigan, instead vaguely insisting that activists were simply “voicing their anger” at the “showdown raging in the heartland.” The morning shows on Wednesday allowed little coverage of Michigan at all, a mere 72 seconds out of eight hours of programming.  (read more)

Michigan Union Thug: Chris Opalewski ……. simply “fabulous”

Dana Loesch identified another one of the unhinged union goons who was tearing down the AFP tent.  His name is Chris Opalewski.  (seen here from the video)

But Mr. Opalewski apparently has an affection for another, well, more faaabulous series of less taxing endeavors.  (see here)

Michigan Contrast – Media Lies – Tea Party Vs. Union Activity

I doubt you could find a more apropos example of hypocrisy than comparing the media coverage of the leftist union behavior in Michigan against the ever-false media claims of violence from the Conservative Tea Party which remains mythical and non-existent…..

[Stella Writes]  In November there were two union-backed initiatives to change the Michigan Constitution; both failed. One would have given unions the constitutional right to collective bargaining in our state, which meant that “right to work” could not be passed here.   The unions spent millions, but lost.

Our governor [Snyder] has, in the past, said that “right to work” wasn’t a priority for him, and he felt that it was divisive. Because of the ballot initiatives backed by the unions, he has seen that they will do everything possible to push forward the power of unions, so he changed his mind on backing RTW, and today signed legislation passed by the Michigan senate and house.

Right to Work advocate and conservative voice Steven Crowder is punched in the face by IBEW union member Tony Camargo.   The union was attempting to tear down a Right to Work supporter tent with women and elderly people still inside.

(Via CNN) On Tuesday evening. Gov. Rick Snyder, a Republican, signed the legislation, which allows workers at union-represented employers to forgo paying dues.

Thousands of people, many of them union workers, gathered outside the statehouse, chanting and holding signs as snow fell.At least three school districts were closed as teachers traveled to Lansing to protest.

There are 23 states which have right-to-work laws, mostly in the South and western plains states, where union membership is relatively weak. Nationwide, union membership stands at 11.8%. (more…)

New York Times Layoffs in Newsroom….

The New York Times is attempting to save costs by implementing another round of newsroom staff cuts.   According to a memo sent by executive editor Jill Abramson this morning, the newspaper is looking for 30 buyouts among newsroom staff. Over the next few days, Abramson wrote, certain employees will be asked to accept voluntary severance packages. (Newspaper Guild members also have the option to apply for a buyout even if they’re not among those contacted by the NYT.) If the quota isn’t met through buyouts, Abramson will be “forced to go to layoffs,” she said. (more…)
