(WSJ) — The Federal Bureau of Investigation arrested five suspects in the Cleveland area in a sting operation for allegedly plotting a bomb attack on a local bridge, law enforcement officials said Tuesday.
The suspects were self-described anarchists who formed their own group, according to one official. The official said that during the investigation, several of the suspects repeatedly complained that the Occupy Wall Street movement, which had spread to other cities from New York, wasn’t violent enough. The message from the man who controls the Justice Department (which can indict you), the SEC (which can fine you), and the IRS (which can audit you), is clear: You made a mistake donating that money.

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A rally expected to draw prominent civil rights leaders is scheduled to take place at a Los Angeles church Thursday to mark the two-month anniversary of Trayvon Martin’s death.
The rally starting at 5:30 p.m. at the West Los Angeles Church in Christ at 3045 Crenshaw Boulevard will be attended by the Martin family, NAACP President and CEO Benjamin Todd Jealous, the Rev. Al Sharpton, the Rev. Jesse Jackson, and Bishop Charles Blake, who preaches at the church.

First lady Michelle Obama on Tuesday urged a group of young girls to “stay away from the haters.”

For some reason I have a difficult time reconciling this advice about “staying away from haters” when the very person who says it sits in the church pew of this “hater” for twenty, yes twenty, years.
The only way it is possible to reconcile the statement from Michelle Obama is to accept the fact she is, in actuality, saying it’s perfectly acceptable for black haters to spew vitriolic hate speech, and simultaneously unacceptable for White Haters to do the same. Not exactly exemplifying post-racial, or inclusive ideology.
Could it possibly be that SCOTUS is recognizing an increasing need for de-politicization in order to save the Republic? It appears the Supreme Court is taking a logical constitutional approach and dismissing agenda driven arguments. Wow, perhaps, just perhaps, they recognize the horrific consequences for the road being travelled, and despite ideologies that may conflict with eachother, they are coming together to actually save a once proud Republic. A glimmer of hope, maybe…
WASHINGTON DC – Supreme Court justices took a dim view of the Obama administration’s claim that it can stop Arizona from enforcing immigration laws, telling government lawyers during oral argument Wednesday that the state appears to want to push federal officials, not conflict with them.
The court was hearing arguments on Arizona’s immigration crackdown law, which requires police to check the immigration status of those they suspect are in the country illegally, and would also write new state penalties for illegal immigrants who try to apply for jobs.
The Obama administration has sued, arguing that those provisions conflict with the federal government’s role in setting immigration policy, but justices on both sides of the aisle struggled to understand that argument.
“It seems to me the federal government just doesn’t want to know who’s here illegally,” Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. said at one point… (more…)
