It might make the optic more appealing, but, sorry Sharpton, I remember the Tawana Brawley fiasco, and even more recently I well remember the Duke Lacrosse players rape case fraud. Optics are not always reality.
The consistent false drumbeat cries of racism and crime have diminished actionable credibility and unfortunately cast a long shadow of doubt over what could possibly be justified outrage. Perhaps some folks consider Al Sharpton a strong advocate. But many more consider him an opportunistic flamboyant Pentecostal preacher who spends $2,000 a year for hair care at Brooklyn’s Prima Donna Beauty Salon and never met a black crime he could not turn into some form of racist inquisition. (*update for clarity) I’m not saying below that Team Obama has orchastrated the entire construct of the Joseph Krony story line. What I am saying is that they are strategically taking political opportunity with it.
I hate it when I’m deeply involved in a complex drama movie and then “whammo” the entire ending just comes to mind. Nothing is more frustrating in movie enjoyment than the moment when your brain fires on all synapses and you recognize the inevitable outcome of the storyline you are watching. Frustrating because there’s still 30 minutes left in the film. Frustrating not only for me, but for my wife who thumps me on the shoulder each time and says “you ruined it for me again“, “why did you have to tell me”?
Sometimes it just becomes clear. This is one of those times.

Breitbart.com has released the first Obama College video. In the video, available here, then student Obama is advocating for Derrick Bell, a noted racial activist. The video at the Breitbart site was intentionally hidden during the 2008 campaign by another Obama advocate Professor Charles Ogletree, fearful of its radical and social underpinnings. Derrick Bell was a former professor at Harvard University and is seen in this video (below) delivering remarks on race at a Harvard book fair in 2002. Bell describes what he believes as “permanent embedded racism” in the United States that can never be removed.
Mr. Bell is obviously entrenched with his racial views. But what is apparently ridiculous for all of this well-educated intelligence is his constitutional incapacity to consider ideology over the color of skin.

(Breitbart) — Earlier today, Buzzfeed’s Ben Smith announced on Twitter that video researcher Andrew Kaczynski had released “the mysterious Harvard/Obama/race video that the Breitbart folks have been talking about.”
The video, which Kaczynski says was “licensed from a Boston television station,” shows a young Barack Obama leading a protest at Harvard Law School on behalf of Prof. Derrick Bell, a radical academic tied to Jeremiah Wright–about whom we will be releasing significant information in the coming hours.
However, the video has been selectively edited–either by the Boston television station or by Buzzfeed itself. Over the course of the day, Breitbart.com will be releasing additional footage that has been hidden by Obama’s allies in the mainstream media and academia.

Good News / Bad News….. The good news is that horrifically biased and discriminatory affirmative action rules may finally be struck down. The bad news is that this case will automatically inject race into the public discourse right before the election. As if Obama needs any more help with his race based re-election effort.
WASHINGTON — Affirmative action is heading back to the Supreme Court, and this time its prospects for survival are poorer than ever.
The Court announced on Tuesday that it has agreed to hear a challenge to the University of Texas’ affirmative action program, which is used in sorting through applications after the automatic admission of all in-state applicants who graduated in the top 10 percent of their high school class. Speaking to a room filled with young college kids this morning, Obama blathered on promising them the moon and the stars, if only they would help him convince the “rich” to pay their fair share. Nothing more than Obama beating the drums of class warfare thinly disguised as “shared responsibility”. Rush begins his great monologue with, “He’s explicitly banking on the fact that he can be reelected by a dependent class (takers) that outnumber a working class (producers).”

In other words, plans quickly being put into place. You don’t say “no rush” unless you are rushing. We know a rapid response naval “mother ship” is being retrofitted for special forces use in the Strait of Hormuz and we just found out a third, yes third, carrier group is headed to the gulf. Probably the USS George HW Bush out of Virginia which pushed out two weeks ago. This is unprecendented. We have never before had 3 complete carrier groups in one region simultaneously.
USS Abraham Lincoln had already entered the Persian Gulf via the Strait of Hormuz on Jan 22. She is escorted by a guided missile cruiser and two destroyers (USN), one British and one French warships. Meanwhile, another US Navy’s carrier strike carrier group headed by USS Carl Vinson is stationed eastward the Strait of Hormuz, in northern part of the Arabian Sea washing southwest coast of Iran.
At present, the US has 15,000-men force deployed in Kuwait, expeditionary marine battalion, and amphibious landing group.
