Multiple political stories breaking today (consider this an open discussion thread):
♦ Dr. Ben Carson is taking a 2 week break from campaigning to focus on his book tour – […] According to ABC News, the next time Carson will publicly campaign will be Oct. 28, the day of the GOP debate, which will take place in Colorado. The last time Carson did a public campaign event was Oct. 2.
Carson will also catch up on fundraising events over the next two weeks. He has 20 events scheduled. In the third quarter of this year, Carson raised $20 million.
Rutgers Eagleton has conducted another poll (full pdf below) of New Jersey voters. Donald Trump retains his lead at 32% surging 11 additional points since the last poll. New Jersey governor Chris Christie is defeated within his own state, garnering only 5% support.
(Via Washington Examiner) New Jersey governor and Republican presidential hopeful Chris Christie is being told by voters across the board in his home state to call it a day.
The establishment candidate, who once flew high in the GOP field, is down to just 5 percent support in the latest Rutgers-Eagleton poll of New Jersey voters. His favorability ratings are tanking, and nearly 70 percent of voters say he should end his campaign. (more…)
CNN/ORC Polling (full pdf below) today release some jaw-dropping results showing the scope of Donald Trump’s campaign attraction. Beyond the top-line numbers are internal considerations far beyond anything any candidate could ever hope to catch.
Everyone should read the full polling internals to grasp how favorable the results are for Team Trump:
Considering the Nevada poll was conducted during/after Marco Rubio spent 4 days in the state, the Nevada results are devastating to the RNC/GOPe preferred narrative. It cannot be emphasized enough how wide, deep and committed the Trump coalition is to his campaign. (more…)
Another YouGov National Poll (pdf below) shows Donald Trump leading with every polled demographic. Simultaneously, hidden in the data this national poll shows how Fox News is manipulating their results by focusing on a polled electorate over 65-years-old.
The latest large scale poll sample from Morning Consult (pdf below) shows that Marco Rubio and Carly Fiorina are now in a downward trend-line having had their moments of exposure and review. Conversely candidate Donald Trump now begins climbing even higher than previous polled results.
(Via Morning Consult) […] Donald Trump retains a wide lead over the rest of the field, with 34 percent of the vote. Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson clocks in second, at 20 percent, while former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) finishes at 9 percent.
Sens. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina are tied with 5 percent apiece, just ahead of former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee’s (R) 4 percent. (more…)
If the primary election were held today, Donald Trump would take all 25 of the 28 available delegates. No other candidate exceeds the minimum primary threshold of 20% within this winner-take-most (closed primary) state.
CONNECTICUT – […] Trump is far ahead of establishment candidates such as Jeb Bush, according to a Quinnipiac University poll of Connecticut voters released Tuesday morning. Two other GOP candidates who have never held elective office — Dr. Ben Carson, a pediatric neurosurgeon, and Carly Fiorina, the former CEO of Hewlett-Packard — also drew double digit support.
“Republicans are looking for an outsider,’’ Quinnipiac poll Director Doug Schwartz said. Trump captured 34 percent of the Republican vote, while Carson drew 14 percent and Fiorina received 11 percent. (read more)
Fox News has released portions of an embargoed national poll (pdf below). Within the poll the reality of Hillary Clinton’s lack of electability surfaces.
The important aspect is not the data itself, Hillary’s weakness is brutally obvious for anyone who has followed the maneuvering of the financial power brokers who control the funding of election outcomes, ie. Wall Street. The important aspect is the media being willing to publicly show it – That’s the Tripwire!
TRUMP BEATS CLINTON
As said, it’s not the data per se’, you have to step back and think about the larger narrative as it has been continually presented by the media. (more…)
The discovery that an antagonistic female questioner, Ms. Lauren Batchelder, (during a “No Labels” event yesterday) is actually a campaign worker for Jeb Bush, has created a rather embarrassing political situation for candidate Bush.
In an effort to draw distance from the brutally obvious set-up, Governor Jeb Bush lead spokesman Tim Miller is now claiming Batchelder is not a campaign staffer:
The Washington Post reports another Bush campaign spokesperson is also seeking to distance the campaign from the profoundly odd, seemingly planted, remarks made during the event: (more…)
During an appearance at a Jon Huntsman / The Hill “No Labels” event, a female audience member named Lauren Batchelder played the role of a female antagonist toward candidate Donald Trump.
However, Ms. Batchelder is not just an average audience member. She’s a paid political operative of the GOP and a paid staff member of Team Jeb Bush:
Within minutes of her scripted performance at the event, the producers of CNN were quickly editing soundbites and framing a narrative. That story was pushed into the media stream within hours. CNN’s Jeanne Moos was the delivery vehicle for the a hit piece.
Here’s the CNN narrative as presented yesterday:
However, as previously noted, it didn’t take long to discover that Lauren Batchelder was not just an ordinary audience member, she is actually a current staffer for Senator Kelly Ayotte and also working in New Hampshire on behalf of the Jeb Bush 2016 campaign.
Batchelder’s LinkedIn profile shows she is a Jeb Bush For President 2016 staffer.
Given Senator Ayotte’s position being pro-life, and contrasted against the framework of Ms. Batchelder’s line of questioning being completely opposite of the boss(es) she is working for, it doesn’t take long to figure out this was a planted Establishment GOPe hit job targeting Donald Trump:
This is an ACTION ALERT for those of you following the RNC/GOPe road map and actively engaged in following the maneuvers within the Republican Party.
Previously we shared the RNC rule changes which modified all primary elections between March 1st and March 14th 2016 to make delegate distributions “Proportional” based on a percentage of the vote. All contests held on or after March 15th 2016 were then winner-take-all (or some assembly therein).
The construct of the 2014/2015 rule changes were specifically created to make the pathway for Jeb Bush and block any candidate who was able to garner a “movement” coalition, or what the RNC called a “momentum candidate” (ie. Non-Jeb) To assist in that endeavor the GOPe road map entailed a “splitter strategy” to fracture the vote and create the pathway for Jeb Bush.
However, as most are well aware, since Donald Trump entered the race the RNC/GOPe road map was thrown off track and modifications to the original plan have been ongoing over the past several months. (more…)
