Lara Logan Unleashed – Speaks Of Savages, al-Qaeda and “revenge” for Benghazi

Wow, this is going to leave the progs in a tenuous position.    You might remember CBS’s Lara Logan from the brutality she suffered when she was sodomized, gang raped and beaten by the media supported “freedom fighters” in Egypt’s Tahrir Square.

The progs exalted Lara Logan for her bravery, courage and her journalism.   Now she speaks out about the rabid savagery that has become the Middle East, the rise and resurgence of al-Qaeda, and the determined Islamists who have come back into power over the last two years as a direct consequence of President Obama’s failed policies.

CHICAGO – This was no ordinary rubber chicken affair. That was my reaction to the extraordinary keynoter at Tuesday’s Better Government Association annual luncheon.

Lara Logan, a correspondent for CBS’ “60 Minutes,” delivered a provocative speech to about 1,100 influentials from government, politics, media, and the legal and corporate arenas. Such downtown gatherings are a regular on Chicago’s networking circuit. (I am a member of the BGA’s Civic Leadership Committee, and the Chicago Sun-Times was a sponsor).

Her ominous and frightening message was gleaned from years of covering our wars in the Middle East. She arrived in Chicago on the heels of her Sept. 30 report, “The Longest War.” It examined the Afghanistan conflict and exposed the perils that still confront America, 11 years after 9/11. (more…)

Benghazi-Gate Continues – Ahead of Wednesday’s Scheduled Congressional Hearings

Drip…. Drip…. Drip…..  The Truth comes forth.   Turning that spigot to brutally honest mode is the job of Congress now.   Jason Chaffetz went to Libya over the weekend to gather information prior to the Congressional hearings scheduled for Wed, this week.

(Daily Beast) Just two days before the 9/11 anniversary attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, two leaders of the Libyan militias responsible for keeping order in the city threatened to withdraw their men.

The brinksmanship is detailed in a cable approved by Ambassador Chris Stevens and sent on the day he died in the attack, the worst assault on a U.S. diplomatic mission since the 1979 hostage crisis in Iran. The dispatch, which was marked “sensitive” but not “classified,” contained a number of other updates on the chaotic situation on the ground in post-Gaddafi Libya.  […] (more…)

What’s Going On “Over There”…..

The Middle EastLet’s cut to the chase so that a broader understanding is possible.

Look at a map of the Middle East:

The first understanding is to know the “Modern West” was accepting of mass migration from N-Africa through Tunisia and Libya into Cyprus, Italy and on to Europe for decades.  This migration was/is the beginning of their substantive multi-cultural issues they are now facing socially and economically.

Long story short…. Eventually Europe wanted the spigot turned off because the “undesirables” were not assimilating correctly and they could not afford the resulting problems.   The ruling fascists in Libya (Gaddafi) and Tunisia (Zine El Abidine Ben Ali) now held “leverage” over Europe.    Quackdaffy and Ben Ali became the gatekeepers. Fibber ! – Susan Rice Says She Did Not Mislead Congress When She Said Benghazi Attack Was Result Of Mohammed Film Protests…

(Blaze) United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice has denied she tried to mislead Congress about the assault on the U.S. Consulate in Libya in calling it a “spontaneous” protest, saying she was acting on the best information she had.

In a letter to Republican senators released Friday, Rice said she “consistently qualified, in some instances twice, the information I provided as preliminary” when she went on television and said the attack on the consulate was the result of an anti-Muslim film. U.S. officials subsequently labeled the Sept. 11 assault that killed Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans an act of terrorism linked to Al-Qaeda-affiliated groups. (more…)

French Police Squad Kill One Islamist, Nab Eleven More for Kosher Deli Bombing….

FRANCE – An Islamist suspected of a grenade attack on a Jewish market was shot and killed by police in the northeastern city of Strasbourg on Saturday and 11 others detained in what prosecutors called a “vast anti-terrorist operation”.

Elite police squads carried out simultaneous operations against a network of radical Islamists in the Paris region and in Strasbourg, Nice and Cannes early on Saturday.

The raids were connected to a September 19 incident in the Paris suburb of Sarcelles in which two men, including the suspect killed on Saturday, threw a grenade into a Jewish kosher supermarket, wounding one person and causing minor damage, said Paris prosecutor Francois Molins. (more…)

Benghazi-Gate Updates: Tunisians Arrested, U.S. Investigators Finally Reach Scene, Whistleblowers say security intentionally reduced at consulate prior to 9-11

Some explosive updates – Jason Chaffetz reveals the State Department intentionally withdrew security personell prior to Benghazi consulate attack.   Investigators finally reach scene three weeks post attack, and early reports say two Tunisian nationals have been arrested:

The Security Withdrawl – In the six months leading up to the assault on the United States consulate in Benghazi, the State Department reduced the number of trained Americans guarding U.S. facilities in Libya, according to a leading House Republican investigating the Sept. 11 anniversary attacks. The reduction in U.S. security personnel increased America’s reliance on local Libyan guards for the protection of its diplomats. (more…)

Just another example: Hypocrisy Thy Name Is….

U.S. President Barack Obama issued a new executive order last week to fight human trafficking, touting his administration’s handling of the issue.

“When a little boy is kidnapped, turned into a child soldier, forced to kill or be killed — that’s slavery,” Obama said in a speech at the Clinton Global Initiative. “It is barbaric, and it is evil, and it has no place in a civilized world. Now, as a nation, we’ve long rejected such cruelty.”

But for the third year in a row, Obama has waived almost all U.S. sanctions that would punish certain countries that use child soldiers, upsetting many in the human rights community. (more…)

The Plot Thickens – The Coverup Worsens…… Benghazi Gate A ‘White’House Of Cards…

Latest Benghazi-Gate Developments –   Whistleblowers inform congressional committee that two prior attacks on the Benghazi US Consulate, and numerous credible threats, led to Ambassador Stevens and staff requesting additional security.   Their request was denied.  Congress asks State Dept for answers.

Reporters ask Jay Carney:  Jay Carney says “No Comment“;  Gee, you think they have something to hide?   Four reports below:

Report #1 –  (Daily Beast) Jihadists twice set off explosives at the consulate prior to the incident that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens, and announced threats on Facebook about escalating attacks on Western targets in the run-up to the 9/11 anniversary, according to whistleblowers reaching out to House Republicans.

In the five months leading up to this year’s 9/11 anniversary, there were two bombings on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi and increasing threats to and attacks on the Libyan nationals hired to provide security at the U.S. missions in Tripoli and Benghazi. (more…)
