WHITE HOUSE – Mrs. Melania Trump is pleased to announce some of the stops on her first foreign trip as First Lady of the United States of America.

On Friday, May 19, 2017, the First Lady will join her husband President Donald J. Trump on an eight-day, five-stop trek to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Israel, Rome, Brussels, and Sicily, returning to Washington, DC, on Saturday, May 27, 2017.

The First Lady will join her husband throughout each day, but will also participate in many of her own events. In the latter part of the trip, Mrs. Trump will attend spousal programs at the NATO and G-7 summits.  She will conclude the trip by delivering remarks to United States military personnel and families in Italy.

We’re grateful to have so many who are of such great consequence to our armed forces with us today, as well as those who serve our veterans — our Secretary David Shulkin, Secretary Ryan Zinke — who serve in this Cabinet.  But on behalf of the President and the First Family, a special thank you to Lieutenant General Michael Linnington and Deven Schei.  The Wounded Warrior Project is a source of great comfort to our veterans across the country, and it is an inspiration to the nation.  (Applause.)

First Lady Melania Trump hosted a luncheon today to celebrate international “women’s day”.  First daughter Ivanka Trump, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, White House adviser Kellyanne Conway, GOP Sen. Susan Collins, second lady Karen Pence and her daughter, Charlotte Pence, fashion designer Rachel Roy, along with dozens of female ambassadors and dignitaries were also present for the luncheon in the White House.

The first lady was dressed in a black sleeveless Ralph Lauren dress as she spoke in the State Dining Room.  Mrs Trump focused her luncheon remarks on atrocities women are confronted with around the world, including human trafficking.  In addition Mrs. Trump cited education as a way to prevent gender inequality, and pledged her support to help bridge the divide for women.

Couldn’t help but think of this song while watching our First Lady and President Trump today:

President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump appeared today for a supporter rally in Melbourne Florida.  9,000 supporters filled the airline hangar with thousands more outside unable to get in.
The First Lady kicked off the People’s President remarks by reciting The Lords Prayer and delivering her pledge to the MAGA movement.  WATCH:

This morning President Trump and Vice-President Pence attended an interfaith prayer service at the Washington National Cathedral.

Today begins the first full day in office following Friday’s pageantry and parties.
