To insure the west stays out of his business while he encircles Benghazi, Captain Crazy has shifted strategy a bit.…… (Business Insider) — Colonel Qaddafi is switching scare tactics. For weeks he warned that any ouster of himself would let Al Qaeda take control of Libya. Now he warns that in an invasion he would join forces with Al Qaeda. Qaddafi told Il Giornale: “We will ally ourselves with al-Qaida and declare holy war.” That indeed is a scary idea, which will give America another reason not to commit to a no-fly zone. (more…)
Sorry, rebel crew, but BamBam ain’t gonna help ya. Best idea is to bug out of there before Saint Patrick’s day. Nothing is gonna stop Quackdaffy from stretching your necks. Head for the hills and open the Gates to Benghazi before he gets there or he’ll bring hell in with him…… (Guardian)- Libya’s revolutionary leadership is pressing western powers to assassinate Muammar Gaddafi and launch military strikes against his forces to protect rebel-held cities from the threat of bloody assault. The liberal pundits continue to celebrate the liberation of Egypt from 60 years of Pharaonic rule while the news no one wants to believe filters back. Censorship by omission is in vogue again because of a reluctance, bordering on paralysis, to recognize there is no law and no order. Radical Islam has once again found a comforatable abode via a resurgence and new legality for the Muslim Brotherhood, and so begins a renewed enslavement of the population. Some Examples: (more…)
** Ha !! I had to bump this up. Look in the comments for why. (Al Jazerra) Opposition fighters have been forced to withdraw from the central port city of Ras Lanuf as forces loyal to Colonel Muammar Gaddafi launched a major offensive against rebels fighting to end the Libyan leader’s decades-long rule. Pro- and anti-government forces are locked in intense fighting for control of several other cities and towns along the coastline to the east of Tripoli, including Brega and Bin Jawad, as well as in Az Zawiyah to the west of the capital. Yikes, don’t know how I feel about this. On one hand to hear the National Security Director state his opinion is the same as your hypothesis is a good thing. However, on the other hand the National Security Director is generally considered inept. Hmmm…. James Clapper has just stated that he fully expects Quackdaffy to survive and continue to be the leader of Libya. (more…)
(Al Jazeera) – North Africa: Rebels will not pursue Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi over crimes they say he has committed if he steps down from his post in the next 72 hours, the head of the rebel National Libyan Council has told Al Jazeera. “If he leaves Libya immediately, during 72 hours, and stops the bombardment, we as Libyans will step back from pursuing him for crimes,” Mustafa Abdel Jalil, head of the opposition National Council, told Al Jazeera on Tuesday. Its all connected folks, every little move, nuance, uprising, despotic overthrow, Christian attack, strategic alliance, E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G. And so it begins………. (more…)
(Strategy Page) March 6, 2011: The rebellion against the Kadaffi dictatorship in Libya has not produced any official outside help, but Egypt has apparently sent some of its commandos in to help out the largely amateur rebel force. Wearing civilian clothes, the hundred or so Egyptian commandos are officially not there, but are providing crucial skills and experience to help the rebels cope with the largely irregular, and mercenary, force still controlled by the Kadaffi clan. If further affirmation is needed to support my hypothesis….. (AINA) — A mob of nearly four thousand Muslims has attacked Coptic homes this evening in the village of Soul, Atfif in Helwan Governorate, 30 kilometers from Cairo, and torched the Church of St. Mina and St. George. There are conflicting reports about the whereabouts of the Church pastor Father Yosha and three deacons who were at church; some say they died in the fire and some say they are being held captive by the Muslims inside the church. The White House and the water carriers within the lefty media have framed this narrative: “The Muslim Brotherhood isn’t so bad, and couldn’t lead Egypt against Israel even if they wanted to“. Sound illogical? I agree, but that is exactly the narrative the Left is trying to advocate. They have essentially five main talking points, and recently a Muslim teacher Haroon Moghul, seen as a Middle East expert by our mainstream media, structured those talking points in a published article.
