President Obama Apologizes Again – This Time To Pakistan

The same Pakistani government that holds the Bin Laden informant in jail.  The same Pakistani government who support radical al-Qaeda operatives within their border.
PAKISTAN – Secretary of State Hillary Clinton apologized Tuesday for a November attack by U.S. forces that left 24 Pakistani troops dead.

“I once again reiterated our deepest regrets for the tragic incident in Salala last November,” Clinton said in a statement about her call with Pakistani foreign minister Rabbani Khar. (more…)

Egypt Will Announce Election Results TODAY – So we look back at TreeHouse Predictions from 2011

Treepers who have been around a while will remember much of this conversation from the Spring of last year.    I had every intention of writing a discussion thread for today’s Egyptian election result; but after thinking about it, I decided to go back and look at what we initially predicted last year.  Well, suffice to say once again, the logical approach of analysis wins once more over the irrational emotion of the progressive left.

During the uprising in Egypt the media claimed the Egyptian Military was an arbitrary altruistic endeavor, protecting the ‘people’ of Egypt from a ruthless dictator.
Yet no one seemed to ever ask how the allegiance of said military was able to switch directions so fast from supporter of all things Mubarak to his adversary and proponent of the democratic citizenry. (more…)

Muslim Butcher Kills Wife Then Sells Her Meat. But Is "Wife" Meat Halal?

Once again, let us return back to the glorious days of the 7th. century.  Just when you think you’ve seen it all with these barbarians, we get this little story out of Egypt that takes the cake.  Not to be insensitive, but under Sharia Law is this really allowed?  It’s probably further proof that with Islam you never want to get your husband’s “goat”, so to speak.  I just hope this man had the ‘sensitivity’ to label his wife “Egyptian Grade A, Extra Fancy”.

Egyptian Muslim butcher slaughtered his wife, skinned and deboned her, then chopped her up in pieces that he sold in his store for $62/pound.

Home grown goat meat ends up being butcher’s wife’s meat.

BREAKING: Former Egyptian Prime Minister Hosni Mubarak Sentenced To Life In Prison

BREAKING:  Sentenced to life in prison

Cairo (CNN) — In what Egyptians have dubbed the trial of the century, Hosni Mubarak faces a judge Saturday to find out his fate in a long-awaited verdict that is sure to play a crucial role in the Arab nation’s future.
About 5,000 Egyptian police will be on hand for the verdict, which could send angry crowds into Cairo’s streets in a violent replay of the popular revolution that led to Mubarak’s downfall.
Mubarak was charged with corruption, misappropriation of funds and issuing orders to kill demonstrators calling for his ouster. About 840 people died and more than 6,000 others were wounded in the Egyptian uprising, according to Amnesty International. (more…)

Egypt: March 9th Jimmy Carter says he trusts the Muslim Brotherhood not Israel – March 13 Egyptian Parliament Declares Israel Enemy #1

Let me be crystal clear on what I am about to say.  Four days ago former president Jimmy Carter made a statement about the situation in Egypt.
Mr. Peanut said unequivocally that he “trusts the Islamists in Egypt” stay committed to the 1978 Arab – Israel peace accord.
Just so there can be no claims of my misinterpretation, or my opinion of the completely detached idiot, I am posting a video with his specific words.

In the face of warnings by the Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood to tear up the Arab nation’s peace treaty with Israel if U.S. aid is cut, former President Jimmy Carter, the chief negotiator of the 1978 deal, says he trusts the Islamists to do the right thing no matter what.

The reason: because they told him so.

(please watch this video for his own words before proceeding) (more…)

Egypt: Islamist From Muslim Brotherhood Picked To Be Speaker of Upper House of Parliament…

CAIRO (AP) — Egypt’s newly elected upper house of parliament picked an Islamist as its speaker on Tuesday, consolidating control by the Muslim Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party over the two legislative chambers.

The election of pharmacology professor Ahmed Fahmy as speaker of the Shura Council came during the chamber’s inaugural session. Saad el-Katatni, like Fahmy a member of the Freedom and Justice Party, was elected speaker of the more powerful lower house, or People’s Assembly, on Jan. 23. (more…)

Muslim Brotherhood Leader: U.S. Will Be In Violation Of Camp David Accords If Financial Aid Isn’t Paid Out…

Screw em’, what are they gonna do if we don’t give them money? Get more radical? They are already slipping violently toward a rabid Islamist state….

(JPost) — US aid to Egypt is guaranteed by the Camp David Accords, and stopping it would be a violation of that treaty, a high-ranking Muslim Brotherhood lawmaker said Sunday.

Essam El-Erian, who also serves as chairman of the Egyptian parliament’s foreign affairs committee, said that should aid from Washington be cut, the Brotherhood would consider changing the terms of Egypt’s 1979 peace treaty with Israel. (more…)

Followup: Egypt Now Says It Will Put Americans On Trial

Including the son of transporation secretary Ray LaHood.

CAIRO (AP) — Ignoring a stern U.S. threat, Egypt on Sunday referred 43 NGO workers, including 19 Americans, to trial before a criminal court for allegedly using illegal foreign funds to foment unrest.

The decision marked a sharp escalation of the dispute between Cairo and Washington over Egypt‘s crackdown on U.S.-funded groups promoting democracy and human rights. The two countries have been close allies for more than three decades, but the campaign against the organizations has angered Washington and jeopardized the $1.5 billion in aid Egypt is set to receive from the U.S. this year.
