(CATO) With the Supreme Court ruling on President Obama’s health care law, everyone is wondering what’s next for big government. Here are some ideas for federal policymakers to consider:
Federal Broccoli Act of 2013: Eat your broccoli, else pay the IRS $1,000.
Federal Recycling Act of 2014: Fill your blue box and put on the curb, else pay the IRS $2,000.
Federal Green Car Act of 2015: Make your next car battery powered, else pay the IRS $3,000. (more…)
TENNESSEE – First lady Michelle Obama echoed her husband’s thoughts on the health care ruling during a Memphis fundraiser on Thursday, saying the “decision was truly a victory for families all across this country.”

“When it comes to healthcare, please, please tell people about the historic reform this president passed,” she told roughly 300 supporters at the Memphis Convention Center, according to a pool report. “Tell them that today’s Supreme Court decision was truly a victory for families all across this country.” (more…)

WASHINGTON – Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) on Thursday blasted his fellow members of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) for staging a walkout on a contempt vote by the House against Attorney General Eric Holder.
“Today the Congressional Black Caucus and other liberal Members of Congress judged the Attorney General by the color of his skin, and not by the content of his character,” he wrote on his Facebook page. “I am disappointed my colleagues would rather engage in a political stunt to distract the American people from knowing the truth behind the Attorney General’s disregard of the law and disrespect of congressional oversight to provide requested documents.”
The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee last week moved to hold Holder in contempt, charging he had not cooperated fully with the committee’s investigation into the controversial gun-tracking operation known as “Fast and Furious.” The full House voted 255-67 on Thursday to hold Holder in contempt, but House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and many other Democrats joined the (CBC) in staging a walkout during the vote. I cannot stand to watch or listen to Bill Maher. The man knows literally nothing about the topics he discusses on his show, yet he pontificates opinion to a reflective audience of mindless sheeple. He is, quite simply, an intellectual gnat, and there is no amount of money in the world that could convince me to watch his show.
That said, Nick Gillespie, presents the Obotic drones Maher and Rachel Maddow with an intellectual deconstruction that shows how miniscule their intellectual capacity is. Simultaneously, Nick pulls out, for the world to see, the insufferable, illogical and closed-minded political partisanship of the Maddow/Maher cult-like believers. It really is a good watch.
WASHINGTON DC – The Congressional Black Caucus plans to walk off the House floor during tomorrow’s votes to hold Attorney General Holder in contempt of Congress, according to a letter being circulated among members of Congress. (more…)
Update: To clarify – Matt Gutman has two twitter accounts. @MattGutman and also @mattgutmanABC which was used by him on Tuesday 6/26/12 (see below). However, Matt Gutman is now denying his intention to reply about Sanford Detective Chris Serino. But it does not add up because he used a specific reply to the twitter question. He is trying to cover his tracks….

There is no intellectually honest way to spin the fact that ABC’s Matt Gutman was admitting Lead Sanford Detective Chris Serino was the source of the leaks from inside the Sanford Police Department to him, ABC, and possibly other media. Period.
Matt had not tweeted anything since June 11th until this morning when he sent his first tweet from the airport in Tel Aviv at 11:47am. Here is the entire twitter feed from Matt for 6/26/12 (more…)
Calling All Roosting Chickens – Please Return Home

BREAKING – TreeHouse Vindication. On March 29th in the midst of the Media Frenzy we focused on one little aspect no-one was paying attention to.
March 29th Treehouse Post: – A police surveillance video obtained by ABC news shows George Zimmerman’s arrival at the police station following the Trayvon Martin shooting. It is being used by people, and manipulated by the media in an apparent attempt to bolster their case that Trayvon did not attack Zimmerman.
Watching the video many Trayvon advocates, and those with a vested interest in selling the Trayvon family story, are saying the video is damning to Zimmerman because they cannot make out any significant injuries to his face or back of his head.
However, there is something more evident, and far more damning, in the video than most observers are focusing on. A BFD (I’ll explain after the video).

It really doesn’t matter what aspect of progdom you are looking at, the inherent failure, nay – constitutional inability, to recognize the obvious, is the commonality in all things progressive. Really, I’m not kidding; nor am I being snarky or curt, it’s just factually true.

Prog companies spend hundreds of thousands, if not millions, on marketing analysis and various consultants to help them understand what is occurring within their business model because they operate from a detached reality view toward their customer.
Prog companies believe that all their customers are also progs. It is just how they view the world. It’s weird.
But when stuff does not make sense to them, or their business model weakens or begins to fail, they pay a lot of money because they have to exit their comfort circle for advice or they will fail. It’s true, and I can give you countless first hand experiences. If progressively run companies maintain only advice from like-minded progs when they are suffering, they will fail. 100% of the time. Guaranteed.
It is what’s happening to Facebook right now. They are still stuck in the prog circle aka doomsday-predictive, circling, echo-chamber of progdom. But this post is not about Facebook. This post is about a brick and mortar company. And what you are about to read, free of charge mind you, is an example of everything above. (more…)
Thanks Puddy Paws O’Brilliance for part of the vid from last nights Geraldo Show.
Discuss.
There is a growing reality coming to the surface. However, the cultural marxists, those with white guilt and the PC crowd, will not discuss it openly in the sunlight.

The opponents to self defense laws, gun ownership rights, Stand Your Ground laws and issues surrounding the individual(s) responsibility to protect themselves, are more visibly concerned about self defense empowerment creating the inability for blacks to be more efficient or productive in their attacks against non-blacks.
That is really what Natalie Jackson is saying here. If you defend George Zimmerman you are allowing non-blacks to defend themselves from black thugs. Guns in the hands of non-blacks allow those who would be victims to defend themselves and that cannot be allowed.
Following the Jackson logic: Non-blacks should just remain securely in their homes. Should they need to travel, they should drive with the windows up and doors locked while passing through the safari to avoid danger. The same mindset in The Virginia Pilot beatings – If you stop at an intersection to obey traffic laws, and if your car is attacked with bricks, stay inside keep the doors locked and drive away quickly.
To quote the Colorado Mayor Michael Hancock just last night:
“We will not surrender this city to anyone,”
