CNN TRANSCRIPT: 7/13/12

And now, new developments tonight in the case against George Zimmerman. Defense attorney Mark O’Mara has filed a motion to disqualify the judge. Kenneth Lester is his name and Mark O’Mara says he’s biased against Zimmerman. He said this after he made what O’Mara is called gratuitous and disparaging remarks in his bail order last week.
Including and I quote, “Under any definition, the defendant has flouted the system.” And, I quote again, “The defendant has tried to manipulate the system when he has been presented the opportunity to do so.” Those and other remarks are what the defense says will prevent Zimmerman from getting a fair trial.
CNN legal analyst Mark NeJame is OUTFRONT.
Mark, do those statements, flouted the system and manipulating the system, do you agree with Mark O’Mara, that those are gratuitous and disparaging? Or are those fair ways to describe someone who when asked if he had money said no and he really did have money?
MARK NEJAME, CNN LEGAL ANALYST: I think it’s a fair comment from a court who’s evaluating the evidence, one can agree or disagree. But you can’t throw a judge off every time you disagree with him because basically you’d have half the judges thrown off at any given time, because somebody typically is going to be on the other side.
The fact is, is that, you know, the question will be did the judge go too far to suggest that he’s in fact, might be biased? I don’t think the judge is biased at all. (more…)

“He listed Sgt. Arthur Barnes, Rebecca Villenova, and Trekelle Perkins as all pressuring him to file charges against Zimmerman after the incident. […]  Serino also stated that Barnes is friendly with Tracy Martin and Barnes asked Serino for Martin’s phone number, but ended up getting the phone number from another source.” 

The lead Sanford Police investigator who sought manslaughter charges against George Zimmerman told the FBI that a sergeant and two others officers tried to pressure him into making an arrest in the controversial case — even though he didn’t think there was enough evidence.

(MSNBC.com)…A special prosecutor in the second-degree murder case against George Zimmerman released more evidence Thursday, including a first glimpse at what the FBI has found in its civil rights investigation with dozens of witnesses.  The evidence released by Special Prosecutor Angela Corey also included interviews from one of her investigators with Trayvon Martin’s cousin, who was with him the night before Martin was shot.

Make no mistake, the charging of George Zimmerman is political.  Political, using the judiciary as cover for agenda driven interests.   We know this,  I am somewhat preaching to the choir.  If this was a case, or nation, based on “Laws”, George Zimmerman would never have been arrested; unfortunately this case, and our nation in the bigger scheme of things, is now subject to the rules of men.   Men with agenda driven interests.  However, now that we have been able to shake off some pontificating discussion hijackers, it’s time to get back to to the righteous business of Truth Seeking research.
If you want to win in the court of public opinion the first goal is to make Truth evident.  The second goal is to make the refusal of accepting truth subject to ridicule.   So begins the research request for this thread. (more…)

A husband arrives home after his wife spent a few hours at the beauty shop enjoying a “makeover day”.   Upon noticing his wifes new hairdo he remarks your hair looks beautiful.   She responds:

 “do you like my hair better this way, or the way I used to have it”?

There is no way to answer this   question safely because the Mrs. has just presented an example of “Prog Logic Thought”.   If the Mr. says the new style is best, the Mrs. will proclaim “how come you never told me you hated my old hair”; conversely if the Mr. says the former style was preferred, well, watch out…. nuf said.
This cognitive framing of progressive logic (prog-logic) extends into many areas of discussion, including Mark O’Mara.   But before talking about the specific examples of Mark O’Mara lets review some more easy to frame historical examples. (more…)

Death By Bureaucracy

WASHINGTON DC – The Justice Department on Monday unsealed an indictment charging five  individuals allegedly involved in Border Patrol agent Brian Terry’s death, and  announced a reward of up to $1 million for information leading to the arrest of  those suspects still at large.
 
For the first time, federal officials also revealed that Terry and an elite  squad of federal agents initially fired bean bags — not bullets — at a heavily  armed drug cartel crew in the mountains south of Tucson in December 2010. During  the exchange, Terry was shot and killed.
The announcement comes amid an intensifying debate over the department’s  failed Fast and Furious anti-gunrunning operation. Weapons from that program  were found at Terry’s murder scene — Republicans seeking documents pertaining  to Fast and Furious last month escalated their probe by voting to hold Attorney  General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress. Color me curious.  How many places and what products can you use Food Stamp EBT cards for?  Seriously, honest question.   I had no idea that you could purchase jewelry, tattoos, buy gas, get nails manicured and hair done etc.
I thought the Food Stamp program was to give poor people  food.   Stupid me.
Daily Caller – Massachusetts Democratic Gov. Deval Patrick has vetoed the state legislature’s attempt to ban the use of EBT cards — or food stamps — to purchase items such as tattoos, porn and jewelry.
Patrick vetoed the reforms Sunday while signing the state’s $32.5 billion budget.
According to the Boston Herald, which first reported the veto, the governor berated the legislature’s stab at banning the purchase of specific items like manicures, tattoos, guns, porn, body piercings, jewelry, and bail by saying the move was “political grandstanding” at a time when such reforms are already on track elsewhere. If you have not read the books (trilogy), you should.   If you haven’t watched the movie, well, that’s good too.   Both Treeper Sibilj and Treeper DiwataMan remind me of these two characters; they are quite good dot connectors and in a most unusual way they are keenly on the same trail from two different angles… quite similar.   Life imitates art.
DiwataMan has a construct of what he calls a conspiracy theory – Sibilj has a prediction for where this is headed.   The theory is really close to dead center mass – The prediction is, well, unless things change quickly, at this point, a virtual certainty.

[comment] Why are people claiming that other people are claiming O’Mara is going to throw or lose the case purposefully?  Has Sundance or anyone claimed that?  My position is that, albeit conspiratorial, this case will go to trial no matter what and the powers that be are going to make sure that happens. The main reason is that no one then but a jury will be responsible for impending riots, everyone has covered their butts.
Has O’Mara had anything regarding this case that would allow him to file to get the case thrown out? Will he have a SYG hearing? I bet he will but I bet it will also fail, it has to fail or else that judge who would throw the case out then would be the one to have to answer to all of his little buddies as to why he just allowed the State of Florida to be put into a position of potentially losing billions of dollars, lol, nobody want to be that guy, this thing is going to a jury and the decision to make sure that happens probably occurred when Bondi and Scott got together.  (continue reading)

Black Entertainment Television (BET) aired a Trayvon Martin Exclusive hosted by Emmitt Miller on April 20th.     April 20th is the same date of the First Bond Hearing for George Zimmerman and nine days after Mark O’Mara took over as lead defense attorney (4/11).

Pam Bondi phone call to Tracy and Sybrina – Listen to what she says – Remember Pam Bondi and Benjamin Crump are personal friends from the Martin Lee Anderson case.   Bondi was the State Prosecutor and Crump was the Anderson family civil lawyer suing the state of Florida and Bay County.  It was Bondi who talked Rick Scott into selecting Angela Corey as the prosecutor of George Zimmerman.  Ugh, ugh, ugh….. It’s a trap.
Also note how Benjamin Crump lawyerly parses his words regarding Trayvon’s school records.  We know Trayvon was excessively tardy, absent 53 days in the current school year, and serving his Third 10-day suspension at the time he was staying in Sanford.

WASHINGTON – With the Supreme Court giving President Obama’s new health care law a green light, federal and state officials are turning to implementation of the law — a lengthy and massive undertaking still in its early stages, but already costing money and expanding the government.

The Health and Human Services Department “was given a billion dollars implementation money,” Republican Rep. Denny Rehberg of Montana said. “That money is gone already on additional bureaucrats and IT programs, computerization for the implementation.” (more…)
