The Washington Post has released the latest GOP national poll of 1,000 people. Donald Trump takes a massive lead at 24% with Scott Walker coming in second with 13%.

Jeb Bush has dropped from an April lead of 21% down to 12% and falling. (more…)

West Long Branch, NJ – The Monmouth University Poll of likely Iowa Republican caucusgoers finds Scott Walker in the lead and Donald Trump in second place. The poll did not find any significant change in support for Trump in interviews conducted after his comments about John McCain’s military service.

The poll also found that Bobby Jindal makes his way into the second tier of candidates, doing better in Iowa than in the national polls. (more…)

As part of the most progressive alignment within the GOP John McCain has a habit of attacking anyone he politically disagrees with, including his own constituents. Previously he’s called conservatives “Hobbits“, “Jihadists“, “Whacko-birds“, and now “Crazies“.

Because McCain has worked specifically to undermine his own state, the Arizona Republican Party has twice voted to censure McCain for his insufferable work to advance the policies of President Obama.

The resolution condemns McCain “for his continued disservice to our state and nation,” and said state Republican leaders “will no longer support, campaign for or endorse John McCain as our U.S. Senator.”

In this interview today John McCain, refuses to apologize and mentions “town hall meetings”.  It should be noted that McCain cancelled his town halls because he was getting too much backlash from his constituents.  (more…)

Donald Trump spoke to ABC’s This Week Sunday morning, his first televised interview since his comments on Senator John McCain’s (R-AZ) war heroics roiled the GOP yesterday. Trump referenced THIS ARTICLE by Sharyl Attkisson. Uber-liberal pundit Martha Raddatz rolls her eyes and tries to advocate a position of controversy.

Great interview with Ann Coulter and Larry Elder. While the primary topic is immigration and all of the ramifications from illegal aliens and legal aliens, much of the conversation is also discussing presidential politics.

Two days ago, Senator John McCain (R-AZ) called the 20,000 people who attended a Donald Trump Rally in Phoenix “crazies”.  McCain has a VERY LONG history of attacking conservatives.

Today Donald Trump said he did not consider John McCain to be a war hero:

“He’s not a war hero.  He’s a war hero because he was captured.  I like people that weren’t captured.” (link)

Trump said more, and clarified/expanded his remarks.  But that doesn’t matter now, because we are in the age of instantaneous outrage.

Trump opened the door for the full-throated, pearl-clutching, establishment republican party to go nuclear on Donald Trump for daring to challenge Decepticon Head John McCain.

And boy howdy is the media loving it.
